Chapter 1: The Smell of Danger

Chapter Text

Izuku was a boy who you encountered during your first week at school. Upon your first meeting with him he seemed like a boy with a unique sense of style – he dressed in frumpy semi-casual clothes, usually with a green coat, and a rosary chain around his neck. But then he started following you around, and getting a little too close for comfort at times. There were times you'd caught him staring at you at the corner of your eye or looking over your shoulder, before pulling away with a slight blush.

You'd written it off as him having a small crush on you. Until one day in the dorms, he was practically cheek to cheek with you while you studied.

"Izuku, why are you so close?" You asked.

He pulled back, face red as a tomato, "I'm sorry! Your scent...it's just intoxicating."

You gave him a funny look. What a weird thing to say, you thought. Opting to not make it weirder, you played it off with a joke. "Must be that new perfume I bought." You forced a chuckle.

"No… 's not that…" Izuku muttered. Suddenly, he was pressed into your back. You turned to say something but choked up upon noticing the sheer size of him as he loomed over you. He was so close you could smell him – he smelled like pine and lemon but warmer. Nimble fingers wrapped around the back of your neck. There were a million thoughts running through your head, more specifically about how this entire scenario was a red flag in itself. But each time you looked up into his forest green eyes, shadowed by his fluffy hair, your mind went blank.

Izuku took a deep sniff of the air and shuddered. "So good…" he groaned. With a bit of force he pulled your head back, giving leeway to bury his nose into your neck. He felt cold against your skin, though you could barely register anything as his soft lips pressed on your skin. In addition, you were burning up at this contact. Losing yourself in his touch, you grasped at the shirt on his back, pulling him closer to you.

"God..!" He growled, breathing heavily while his teeth grazed your skin. You braced yourself for a hickey but instead felt the sting of two pricks sinking into your flesh. The initial shock had you paralyzed as Izuku drained the blood from your neck.

When he pulled away, there was a look of pure bliss on his face; pupils blown wide and blood dribbling down his chin. Blood. Your blood. Your eyes widened, slapping your hand over your neck. "What the fuck!?" You screeched. The boy blinked out of his daze and his face formed into a look of shock and worry, "Oh...Oh God, I'm so sorry!"

"You sucked my fucking blood!"

"I know I should've asked first!" He wailed.

"Am I gonna turn into a vampire!? "

He fiddled with his thumbs, "I-I don't know… I don't think it's possible to turn another monster."

You furrowed your brows, panic turning to confusion, "'another monster'...wha- what are you talking about?" He looked up at you with puppy dog eyes, "Well ya see… I'm a vampire. And i know we're not exactly supposed to tell our species. But I figured since we're in private and… I just did that then...yeah."

"But Izuku... I'm human."

The greenette's eyes widened at your confession. His hands flying to his mouth and then to the side of his head, "No wonder you smelled so good!"

"Izuku, what is this? I mean...all of this?" You waved you hands about to emphasize the situation.

The vampire you called your friend then began to captivate you with the history and purpose of Typhon Academy - a private college made by monsters, for monsters. Where the young adults of the supernatural could get their education without being disturbed by the human race. It was a place truly devoid of humanity… that is, until you came along.
