Work Text:
Was it really what you wanted,
To end up like all those others?
Has it ruffled your proud feathers
Hearing warnings, still undaunted?
You were brave, didn’t stay away,
You didn’t know when to run.
But for her it was just fun
To shoot all she saw in her way.
You were strong, had faith in your aim,
She was just another hit,
You were healthy, fresh and fit.
There was no chance she was the same.
But she was, and she was much more,
Above all she was much smarter.
If just for brains you could barter
You wouldn’t be here on the floor.
This outcome was clearly fated.
In short, you miscalculated.
