The sun start to get low and replaced with bright moon. You were sitting on the couch, waiting for your boyfriend to come home.
Today is valentine, you and him were supposed to spend your day together, cuddling or maybe even cook together. But he is a lawyer and not to mention his other 'job' aswell. There is gonna be a lot of unexpected things.
While on the other side, Matthew was just finished the court. It was a tough one, but he succesfully did it with Foggy. After they talked a bit, he ask to leave because he remember you must be still waiting for him.
It took 15 minutes for Matthew to finally arrived in his apartment, he already buy a bouquet of white baby breath because that is your favorite flower. He went in and heard you are singing while sitting on the couch.
He walked himself towards you because he know if he call you from where he stand before, he's gonna have to scream a little considering how loud your music are.
"Babe?" He tapped your shoulder try not to shock you. You turned your head and saw him with his guilty smile and a bouquet on his hand. You immediately turn off your music so you can talk with him.
"Hey you're home, how's the court today?" He put the bouquet on the table and sit himself next to you while loosening his tie.
"It was pretty hard but i survive." Hearing that, you give him a kiss on his forehead. You know he's tired right now, and you also know he felt guilty to you right now.
"Of course you survive, you're the protector of Hell's Kitchen and my strong boyfriend." You snuggled your head to his chest to felt his warmness.
He wrapped his hands around you and give you little pat on your back.
"I'm sorry, we should've spend valentine together." He kissed your forehead and your hair as an apologize.
"Don't be, i know what i'm gonna face when i said yes to you that day, and beside you still make it and brought me flower also maybe we still can cuddle right?"
You pulled out from him to smell the flower. It's so good and you like the colour of it. Matthew stand up from the couch.
"You're right. Alright i'm gonna take a bath and after that we can cuddle all night, how's that sound?"
"Sounds like a plan." With that, Matthew go to the bathroom to clean himself while you go to your room and change with your baby blue pajama so it's gonna be more comfortable.
Matthew doesn't usually take lot of times when go to bath. 20 minutes after that, he already finished and ready with his black pajama. He walked himself to the bed and settle himself next to you.
Both you and him just share each other warmness, love, and affection. At the end, both of you fell asleep in each other arms. That valentine was ended up greatly even though it start with unexpected things.
