Chapter Text
“Be my fake boyfriend?” Hoseok suddenly asks Jungkook, in which the latter turns to look at him, and Hoseok can see the unamused look in Jungkook’s eyes.
“Oh come on, it’ll be fun!” Hoseok tries to convince Jungkook once more, looking at him with pleading eyes.
“Fine, but you have to buy me lunch for a week.” Jungkook gives up talking any sense into Hoseok’s brain and instead rolls with it, not like he had anything better to do.
“Thank you!” Hoseok smiles. Now what was he going to do exactly?
“I have a plan.” Hoseok is now in Jungkook’s favorite restaurant, waiting for their orders.
“You have a basketball game coming up, right? Then let’s just show everyone there that we’re dating! It has been a month since Namjoon and I broke up so no one will judge you and me together.” Jungkook looks at him questioningly.
“Listen, you know Namjoon-sunbae is dating Seokjin-hyung, right? It’s not gonna be easy to break them up. After all, they’re always so happy on school grounds.” Hoseok looked at him, smiling nonetheless.
“Well, it doesn’t matter if he gets back with me or not, I won’t destroy his relationship with the vice president of the school council. I just want to try.” Before Hoseok could continue talking, the food was placed unto their table.
“I’ll see you at my basketball game then?” Jungkook asks while he puts a fry in his mouth.
“Yes, and don’t worry. I’ve already planned everything so you have to do nothing too major.” Hoseok added thinking of what else to do:
It’s been exactly 4 days since their talk and Hoseok finds himself all glammed up sitting on the benches of the gymnasium, holding a little banner with Jungkook’s name on it.
You know what? He’ll admit it, he doesn’t know anything about this damn sport but he sure is thankful for all the times Jungkook’s jumped up to put the ball in the hoop, because he’s never seen someone with such a good body before.
“I never thought I’d see you in a basketball game.” Hoseok turned back to see who was talking, and Jimin had a teasing smile on his face.
“Well my boyfriend’s playing so,” Hoseok stopped mid sentence, zoning out when Jungkook used his jersey to wipe off his sweat, looking at his abs.
It was break time, and the teams looked exhausted.
Suddenly, he felt a hand push his chin up. “That’s your boyfriend, I’m assuming?” Hoseok was brought back to reality, and he simply nodded.
“Was the banner not enough?” Hoseok flails his banner and when Jungkook saw it he plastered that dreamy smile on his face.
Abruptly, their break ended, and Hoseok decided to talk to Jimin a bit more.
“So, what are you doing here?” Hoseok asked, genuinely curious why his friend, who also does not know a thing about sports as well, is at a basketball game.
“Yeah well, my boyfriend’s playing too.” Jimin pointed at a man with black hair falling over his eyes, and Hoseok looked over.
“Wow, what player is he again? A winger or something?” Hoseok confusedly looks at Jimin.
“Hyung that’s rugby, and don’t ask me either, I don’t know what his position in the team is either. But I can cheer for him!” Hoseok just then noticed the bright blue pompoms in Jimin’s hands.
“That explains the pom poms. So, when is this game gonna end?” As if on cue Jungkook wins the final point, and Hoseok is already cheering even if he doesn’t know what’s happening.
“Can I come down there?” Hoseok mouths as he stands up and after Jungkook nodded, Hoseok made sure that Namjoon was watching as he flung himself into Jungkook’s arms.
“You were amazing! You even got the final score!” Hoseok glances at Namjoon’s direction, seeing the latter looking at him and Jungkook intently.
Part one of Hoseok’s plan has been checked!
