Chapter Text
“Darling Fukawa, if only you saw yourself the way I do. You're perfect in every way.
- secret admirer ”
A confused Fukawa stood at her locker, staring at the note. She couldn't believe her eyes, really. It'd been what? Three years since she had enrolled in hope's peak? Every year she's met with the same orange sticky note taped to her locker. The handwriting is always the same, atrocious but legible. This ‘secret admirer’ never showed. Of course, Toko always chickened out when it came to meeting them in fear of it being a set up..
Who would even like someone like you? Better safe than sorry.
The young author sighed, taking the note down and shoving it in her skirt pocket. Syo was right. The last thing they needed was another body.
“Excuse me.” Toko felt a sharp tap on her shoulder and turns to see a delivery guy, holding a huge Teddy bear. Before Toko could question him, he shoves the bear in her arms and reaches for a clipboard.
“H-Hey! What do you think you're doing?” she yelled. “Was it you? The note. Did you do it?”
The delivery guy raised an eyebrow. “Look I'm just a delivery guy. I have this bear for a-” he looks down at his clipboard. “Toko Fukawa. That's you right?” Toko nods and he hums in approval. “Okie dokie~! I also have this letter for you.” He holds out a pink letter, her name written in bold on the front. Toko shakily accepts the letter, nearly dropping it. Her entire body is trembling, as she leans against the lockers clutching the bear as if it'll run away.
“Who- Wh-who?” She manages to stutter the question. The delivery guy only shrugs and walks away, whisting with content and leaving Toko there.
Thud.
Toko just faints.
