Chapter Text
"Sasuke, Sasuke." Naruto blew smoke from his blunt. He's sitting on the porch of his house. Sasuke has their son on his hip as he walks up the walkway.
"Naruto." A simple greeting.
Naruto laughs. He adores Sasuke's dry tone. With one more blow of smoke, he rested his blunt on the ashtray. "How's my favorite omega doing?"
Sasuke rolls his eyes. He walks up the steps, dropping their child's overnight bag next to Naruto. "I'm alright, Naruto."
"Daddy." Menma says in Sasuke's arms, reaching out for Naruto. He's three years old with all of Naruto's energy.
Naruto takes him from Sasuke. Sasuke watches Naruto settle their son on his lap. Kissing his cheeks as Menma smacks his Daddy's face in joy. He lives with Sasuke, but they have a lax setup with Menma. Whenever Naruto wants him, he gets him, which is pretty often since he works on his family's farm.
Sasuke is a city boy. Though he will admit, he enjoyed helping the Uzumakis birth the new calf last week.
"Pa's in the house. You could go in, and say hi." He lets Menma go, and his little legs take him into the house. The door slams loudly causing Kyuubi to bark.
"Shut the fuck up, Kyu." Naruto reprimands the Husky. It whimpers, walking down the stairs toward Sasuke. Sasuke squats down, petting his head.
"Hello my sweet boy." He scratches his chin. "Menma told me you've been having a hard time hearing." He says to the dog.
Naruto snorts, running his fingers through his hair. All of his flower and frog tattoos on display from his left arm. The tight short sleeve shirt looks good on Naruto. "Yeah, the doctor said he might need surgery."
"Oh no." He says with sympathy to the dog, looking into his eyes.
"Remember when you were pregnant, and we were in the barn and he wouldn't let anyone near you during the baby shower?"
Sasuke chuckles. That was the first time he met all of the Uzumaki clan. His own family looked stiff next to the proud Yankees. Kushina pulled his mother from the party to take her on a tractor ride.
They were currently on a vacation in Greece, but with plenty of time to call to video chat with Menma. The only grandchild.
"Yeah. We had to give him some meds before the gift giving." He stands up. "Didn't help." He smirked. Kyuubi had to sniff each bag before it could be handed to Sasuke. "Tell your Dad, I'll stay longer when I pick Menma up. I have a meeting with Itachi and a client in two hours." It took thirty minutes to drive out here and he wanted to eat with Sakura beforehand.
Naruto leaned back on his arms, looking Sasuke up and down. Biting his lip. "You can come back and stay the night."
They were strangers that started off as friends with benefits for a year until Sasuke got pregnant. They tried dating from the revelation until Menma was six months before they figured a friendship works better for them.
Sex from time to time was normal for them. Sasuke wasn't having sex with anyone else, he didn't know about Naruto's status. Felt it wasn't his place to ask. If the person was important, he would introduce them to Menma.
"Your rut must be close." He sniffed the air, but all he smelled was weed. "If I sleep with you, you'll fight to get me pregnant again."
His own inner Omega wanted Naruto to get him pregnant.
Naruto shrugged. "Wouldn't be so bad. Then you'd have to move to the farm."
Sasuke had to cover his mouth to hold his laughter in. "Farm life doesn't look good on me."
"You never tried."
This was an old conversation.
Sasuke looked at Naruto's dirty blue jeans with his red cowboy boots. "See something you like, Omega?"
Shifting his eyes upward, Naruto sat up straight, resting his elbows on his knees. "Maybe." Sasuke flirted a bit. He's felt safe with Naruto since the night they met at Neji's house.
Naruto rubbed his hands together. He opened his mouth slightly, gliding his tongue along the top row of his teeth. Showing his Alpha canines off. "Don't you think it's time we tried again?"
Sasuke shifted his eyes over the sheep walking around, Kyuubi was over there now. "Maybe, Naruto."
"You know I can take care of you." He urges.
"I know, Naruto."
That wasn't the answer Naruto was asking for.
Naruto stretches his legs out over the steps. He lowers his head with a sigh. Snapping his fingers, a method he uses to distract himself.
"Okay, Sasuke." He doesn't pick his head back up.
Sasuke nods. "I'll see you later."
"Bye."
________
"Was that your sexy baby Mama, I saw driving out of the ranch?" Shukaku asked in lieu of a greeting. A manic grin on his face in contrast to Gaara, his twin's, emotionless expression.
Shukaku had eye tattoos. Black covered the whites of his eyes with the blue shining through. He had tribal tattoos up both of his arms. Gaara had none. Refused the thought of tainting his body with ink, other than the one on his forehead that he got as a teen when he was just as bad as Shukaku.
Shukaku was better, a best friend to him with Gaara, which means he knew how to fuck with Naruto. "You know who that was." Growled Naruto.
Naruto threw the overnight bag into the doorway then hopped off the porch, heading toward the barn. His friends close behind.
"The ink fucks with my eyesight, don't ya know." He chuckles.
"Don't lie, you fucker." Sasuke was hard to miss. That's why he worked hard to get the quiet man to talk to him at Neji's party all those years ago.
When they reached the barn, he pulled the doors open. Some of the chicken bi-passed them through the cracks. The door creaked loudly as he widened the entrance. "She's over here."
"We know where Delores sleeps." Said Shukaku. His feral grin was gone, he had his hand on Gaara hip as they walked deeper in. Two of the cats hissed at them, and Gaara reached out to them anyway, hoping to befriend them again. They were neutered last week at their clinic.
Delores was a horse. Dark brown, beautiful mane with fresh horseshoes, Naruto installed two weeks ago. He used to compete with her when he was younger. Naruto leaned over his stall door. "Hey girl."
No response. Naruto frowned.
"See." He looked over his shoulder at the twins.
Gaara moved away from Shukaku, tapping on the door for Naruto to open. The blonde obliged. Gaara slipped in, the hay crunched under him as he got closer to the horse. The silent man kneels down next to the animal.
Shukaku leans on the door next to Naruto. "How long has she been like this?"
"A week."
"Any other symptoms?" Shukaku bits his thumb nail. His eyes are on Gaara, watching the physical continue.
"She refuses to eat her normal food. She doesn't come out of her stall anymore, and she's just quiet!"
"I thought you liked quiet." Shukaku raised an eyebrow with amusement.
Naruto shakes his head. "You know I do." Appreciating his friends' attempt to lighten the mood. Back in high school, he confessed to Shukaku, thinking he was Gaara. The boastful laughter at his cringe confession wasn't expected. That's how he found out Gaara was a twin, and Shukaku was kind enough to relay his message to his twin.
They dated for a year. Broke up because Naruto felt like he was dating two people. Shukaku and Gaara may be in two different bodies, but they were one soul.
Both of them were dating a man named Rock Lee. He was their stay at home Omega with their three kids.
"Gaara, what do you notice?" Shukaku asks, patting Naruto's back in reassurance.
"Her heartbeat is slow."
"Surgery?" Naruto asks with reluctance.
Gaara was gently caressing her neck. "An x-ray first."
Naruto groaned. Putting his head in between his folded arms over the stall door. "Fuck." He said.
Shukaku continued to rub his back. "You got the best Vets in the area." He slapped his back. Naruto oof'd from the impacted. "We'll fix her up. Save your fucking tears."
Naruto's smile was hidden.
"Yes." Gaara agreed.
Two hours later, Delores is at the clinic to be monitored overnight. The X-rays show fluid in her lungs, and Gaara and Shukaku are discussing the best course of action. He told them to keep him posted, he had to get back home to Menma. His Father was going to the movies with his Godfather and Fugaku.
At home Menma was fed, sitting in his bedroom with Kyuubi in bed with him. A show with a blue dog was playing on the screen. "Menma~."
The bed squeaks under his weight, he curls his arm over his son's back. His son ignores him, his two small palms rest under his chin.
"Going to ignore your daddy?" He rubs his nose into this son's dark hair.
"Where were you?" His small voice asks.
"Delores is sick."
"Sick? Like a cold."
"Yeah. Remember when I couldn't take you last month. I had the flu and was in the hospital."
"Oh yeah. Mama cried when we left the hospital."
Naruto sits up. Staring at the back of his son's head. "I didn't know that. Did he say why?"
His son scrunched his face in thought. "Mama said he was scared when I asked him why he was crying. I told him I wasn't scared. Pa told me Uzumakis are strong." He said nonchalantly. The blue dog was dancing with a mailbox, singing about Paprika.
Sasuke didn't cry during or after childbirth. Naruto has cried multiple times in front of Sasuke. He was an easy crier. Menma's first word was a cherishable moment, so was the day they saw the ultrasound together. Sasuke almost kicked him out until he accepted that his tears were a part of the routine.
Sasuke crying never registered in his brain.
But Naruto's being hospitalized triggered something in him.
Not even Menma could do that.
Should he feel proud of that?
Curling his arm over Memna's back again. "Hey, you want some ice cream?"
"Mama said not to listen to you if you offer it after the moon goes down."
"Will you tell him?"
"Yeah."
Mama's boy.
Easing himself back up. He gets off the bed, swinging his arms as he walks backwards toward the door. "I guess I'll eat alone then. Damn."
His son tilts his head toward the door, finally looking away from the TV. "Mama said people shouldn't eat alone."
Naruto shrugged. Looking elsewhere than his son.
Menma presses pause. Naruto watches his small body get off his bed, Kyuubi close behind. "I'll eat with you."
Naruto squats down. "You will?!" He asked cheerfully.
Menma nods proudly. "Of course daddy."
Naruto reaches out for his son's hand, who takes it. He stands up, guiding his son to the kitchen.
There, a son and Daddy eat mint chocolate chip ice cream.
_______
Sasuke leans back against his modeling partner for the photoshoot. The stylist has him in a red leather two piece set with the other in a black matching set. Itachi was behind the camera talking with the director. He was his temporary manager until his agency found him one that he clicked with. Itachi was a model for years, he works at Vogue now, with one or two runways he does as favors yearly for his friends in the industry.
Sasuke's partner is another Omega that they put Alpha fangs on. His mouth was near Sasuke's scent mark on his neck. The public loves the thought of two Omega's fucking.
"Sasuke, I'm so hungry." His partner whispers. "I've had only water for the past 24 hours."
Sasuke raised a leg over his partner's hip when they were directed to lay down together. "Me too. Do you want to eat together after this?"
Sai shook his head. "No, my wife is waiting for me. She owns the flower shop on the second floor." He pressed his fingers to Sasuke's lips.
"I know that shop. Sakura is best friend's with Ino."
"That's my wife."
The director's assistant brought a snake over to lay over them. Big and yellow.
"Hmm."
Two more outfit changes, with the same snake before the shoot ended. Sasuke exited the changing room, in a green Addias crop top with matching pants. His luggage rolled next to him as he walked closer to Itachi, seeing he was talking to a stranger.
"Oh, Sasuke." Itachi said. His long hair perfectly styled along his back. A soft sweater with ankle length pants and short blue boots. "The agency sent him over."
The man looked unappealing. A mask covered his face with unmanageable gray hair.
Sasuke knew his manners. He bowed. "Hello."
With a hand wave. "Yo."
He didn't look promising.
"This is Kakashi Hatake." Itachi continued. "The agency felt that he should be able to fulfill your needs in a more honorable way."
"Okay."
"And he's an Omega." Said Itachi.
Now that caught his attention. He looked nothing like an Omega. His muscle mass was easy to see through his long sleeve shirt.
"I have nine dogs." Said Kakashi.
"Why are you telling me this?"
"My husband told me, ice breakers are good." He said. Scratching his cheek, his eyes creased with joy.
Sasuke nodded. "Um, I had a twin I killed in the womb."
Itachi patted his head. "See. That's why Sasuke is a star."
Sasuke blushed. He hated when Itachi boasted about him to strangers. The first time he met Naruto it was terrible. He gave the blonde copies of Sasuke's baby pictures and sent him videos of Sasuke during his first runway at age five.
"Let's go to lunch and discuss this more in-depth. If this goes well, Kakashi will have to shadow me today during a meeting."
Lunch was pleasant. Kakashi didn't say much unless prompted. Yet, his knowledge of the industry was undeniable. He talked of his past clients, those who were in the industry and those that have left.
He modeled with a few companies in his youth until age 25. Then an eye injury from a rival during a backstage fight destroyed his career. His first client to manage was his husband, with a seven year age gap. They didn't date until his spouse found a new manager. After that he explained his method as a manager, and Sasuke agreed with all of it.
He told Kakashi about his son. He's lost managers in the past when he had to decline work to take care of Menma. He needed someone to see him as more than a money maker.
Kakashi said the less work for him the better.
They both laughed at that.
Itachi watched them silently. Eating his noodles and texting on his phone.
The meal ended with a promise to meet up tomorrow to sign the papers. He felt good with Kakashi.
When they exchanged numbers, Kakashi sent him a picture of his nine dogs. He was told the one in the middle was Pakkun, his first dog.
Such a tiny thing.
Back in his home, he video chats with Naruto and Menma, telling them about his day. Menma tells him about Delores, he knows how important that horse is to Naruto.
They rode her together during the first month they met. Naruto showed off his Show tricks which showed him how much Naruto was a country bumpkin with money.
The horse would be in the hospital until she was able to breath on her own.
Seeing Naruto's sad face hurt. He was too handsome to frown.
One of the reasons he had a baby with him. The cuteness.
"Sorry to hear about that Nar." Through the video, Menma sat on his lap. Sasuke was resting against his pillows on his side.
Naruto kissed Menma's head. "This guy has been getting me through it. He's the best."
"Best, Mama!"
Sasuke smiled. "You are, baby." He cooed.
Menma chatted some more before blowing a kiss and hopping off Naruto's lap when Minato called for him. "We made a good kid." Said Naruto. He rested his chin on his palm.
Sasuke snuggled deeper into his pillow. Feeling a bit lonely. "We did."
"So." He began. "You like this Kakashi guy?"
He nodded. "I feel good with him. He even has nine dogs. That's insane."
"You've been on the ranch. Nine dogs is insane to you?"
Sasuke scoffed. "You have a Zoo. With all of the land to boot. Kakashi having nine dogs is crazy. I'm going to meet them tomorrow after we sign the papers."
"You're going to be alone with him?" Asked Naruto. He sounded sad, but he must still be upset about Delores.
Sasuke yawned. "Yeah."
"I'm going to let you go. Looks like you need a nap."
"No, no. I can talk longer." He yawned again. "Or you can talk to me until I fall asleep. Like you used to."
"Want to hear a college story?"
"Does it include Killer Bee?"
Naruto chuckled. "It does."
Sasuke smiles with his eyes closed. "Tell me, Nar."
Sasuke missed the loving look in his phone. "Okay, Sas."
Getting out of the shower the following morning, a knock at his door catches his attention. He throws a robe over himself, drying his hair throughout his walk to the front door.
The knocking continues. "Coming." He yells out. He checks his phone, and he has no notification of anyone visiting.
Resting his phone face down on the window pane, he opens the door.
It's a stranger.
With flowers.
The person thrust the bouquet into Sasuke's hands without a word. No words are spoken afterwards. The stranger turns and walks away.
With the door still open, Sasuke looks down at the bouquet, happy that Menma isn't here. There is a card. Backing up slowly, he kicks the door closed.
A small envelope.
Sasuke
He rested the bouquet near the trash in the kitchen. Leaning his hip against the counter, he opens the card.
Hi Sasuke,
I'm a big fan. Your home is lovely and you have a gorgeous child, but I notice you are raising them alone.
My name is Stanley, and I would love to meet you and show you that I can be the Alpha for you and your child.
I will contact you again soon.
Xoxoxo.
He rested the card next to the flowers.
His mouth hung open in shock. Wasn't he a bit old to have a stalker?
