Narcissa’s hard blue eyes skimmed down Hermione’s pajama-clad form. “No,” was all she said.
Narcissa’s silk nightgown alone was likely more expensive than everything Hermione had ever worn combined.
“Hermione, you ought to be the statement the clothes make, not the...” Narcissa’s nose wrinkled. “Cat print.”
Hermione smoothed down her pajama shirt. The grumpy marmalade-colored cat fabric had reminded her of Crookshanks in the store, so she’d bought it. “You are such a snob.”
“Boudoir attire is as high class as the rest of a proper witch’s wardrobe. Luxury is paramount.”
Shaking her head, Hermione remarked, "You're luxury enough for the both of us."
Narcissa sighed.
