(Y/n)’s hands twisted Nami’s short ginger locks into two separate braids. Taking their time to get her braids as even as possible. They finished off the look by clipping on a cute hairpiece. (Y/n) smiled as they announced that they were done.
“Thanks (Y/n),” Nami chirped cheerfully, eyeing her hair with a critical eye, “It looks wonderful!!”
Nami’s happy tone immediately caught the attention of a certain captain, “What are you guys doing?” His arms looped around the two’s shoulders.
“I was doing Nami’s hair.”
“Can you do mine?”
Luffy blinked hopefully up at (Y/n). Silently begging them to do his hair. (Y/n) sighed, resolving to their fate.
“Fine, I will do your hair too.”
Luffy let out a loud cheer, throwing his hands up in their air. His smile brightened while he untangled his limbs from around their shoulders. He settled himself in front of (Y/n). Pressing himself flush against their knees in his haste. Nami chuckled at their captain’s antics, finding them humorous.
Nami hurried off to keep a closer eye on the ship's course, “Good luck with him.”
“Hey-“ (Y/n) sighed before turning to Luffy, “Okay what do you want me to do with your hair?”
“Do it like you did Nami’s,” Luffy answered, practically vibrating with excitement from his seat before (Y/n). They nodded in understanding as they got to work. Doing their best to braid his hair. Working with the shortness of it. In the end, they could only do a few small ones before it would start to look weird on his head. Luffy was exercising a surprising amount of patience as they worked. Not squirming all that much while they did his hair.
“Do you want a hairpiece as well,” (Y/n) asked to which Luffy responded with a hasty nod of his head. (Y/n) pulled out a small hairpiece that they thought would work well for him. They motioned for him to turn around. Luffy followed their command dutifully. Kneeling in front of them so they could pin the hairpiece properly. (Y/n) smiled as they admired their work. Finding pride in making their captain look good.
“All done,” They said, holding up a handheld mirror so he could inspect their work. Luffy focused intently as he gazed at his appearance in the mirror. Seeming to be in awe of (Y/n)’s work.
“Thanks (Y/n)!!” They watched him run off with a soft smile.
“You sure are good at wrangling the captain,” (Y/n) turned to look at Robin who made her presence known.
“Do you want me to do your hair as well?”
Robin responded with a smile of her own, “No thanks maybe some other time.”
