"Lieutenant, sir, is there a plan for this raid? These..'Ghost Pirates', they're known for, well, being ghost like.."
As if that wasn't obvious, the solider only made Luna feel more like an fool. This was their first job in the New World, so they had to do good. They sighed, looking over the wanted posters on the ship wall. 'Scarlett The Ghost'. Her bounty was..69 million berries...and she was a devil fruit user on top of that.
"Guys, we got this! Our plan is to get the sea prism stone on Scarlett, and bring the rest of the crew in with her. Try not to kill anyone, while i don't mind inflicting wounds into them, we'd rather have them alive. And Coby prefers alive..BUT! They're allied with some big pirates. And don't forget! Protecting these people is also important! If all else fails..uh.."
They chuckled nervously, looking at their group. The gazes of their team was starting to toll on them. Luckily being interrupted by their transponder snail ringing. Perfect distraction! Luna shooed the other out of the room before picking it up with a sigh.
"Hello..?"
"Luna! Thank god you haven't cut us off yet!" Jeez. "I just thought i should check up, you got stuff under control?"
Hardly.
"Well..Y-Yea, we found out what Scarlett is here for, it's one of Doflamingo's SMILES. So we managed to make a deal with the person who's gonna give it to her, that sort of plan."
"That's good! But a SMILE? There? After Luffy took down Doflamingo...Luna, shouldn't we send backup? A-At least let HQ know first, please?"
The nervousness in his voice was enough to make this harder. They sighed, dragging a hand down their face before responding.
"Coby..I got this. P..please let me do this. I..I need to show the others i'm strong! On my own. Without you or Helmeppo helping me..You know i can do this! So, i'm gonna do it. Take down the pirates and all. Maybe.."
"Maybe..? Luna if you think you'll be allowed to eat that SMILE yo-"
"Hon, no, just maybe i'll get acknowledged by the higher ups! Stuff like that! I like being able to swim anyway."
A bit of laughter from Coby made them smile, before a quick 'Love you', and they hung up. Finally, a solid plan. Sorta. Scarlett will go to get the SMILE, and the building will be surrounded by the marines, hopefully things go smoothly..
Prepare for the worst Lunes..
Well, the plan was going smoothly. Till all hell broke loose and they had to fight. They didn't count on Scarlett scaring the SMILE dealer into telling her the plan. And now?
I'm gonna die here aren't i?
Scarlett thrusted her sword forward at Lunas heart, only to have been stopped by their hand. The blonde winced in pain, grinning at the pirate.
Could've deflected that with your sword idiot.
"Never been stabbed in the hand before! This'll leave one hell of a scar if you ask me!"
More scars? That's nothing but fun.
"Honestly! I don't see why you're trying to hard to stay alive! The longer you keep going the more pain you'll endure!"
"Well i mean thats kinda the point, yea?"
They retracted their hand, quickly jumping back to wrap it tightly with their shirt. The pirate scowled, looking around at her crew mates fighting the Navy.
"Come on kid, I could give you a painless death! And send your head home in a box too! You cant win here!"
Coby would die on the spot if he saw that..weirdo.
"No thanks, but if i can't at least take you down with me, i don't mind dying."
Actually, they didn't want to die here. They're lying outta their ass. Nervous habit. Luna had picked up their sword once again from the spot it had landed, biting their tongue from their wounds. Luna couldn't hold the sword correctly, so they improvised and ripped up the rest of their shirt to tie their hands to the hilt. Smart right? Probably not, but it'll work for now.
"If you give yourself up now, maybe you'll only go to level two of Impel Down, Scarlett!"
"Tch, like i'd do that! I'd rather DIE that give up!
"Ah, can't really let that happen, I'm on a strict no killing diet! Pacifist boyfriend, i'm sure you understand!"
The older woman growled at the Navy Lieutenant, how was this kid engaging in a conversation during a fight?! Whatever, if she used her Devil Fruit powers she'll win this easily. While she was concentrating to work her powers she hadn't noticed, probably since something exploded and she had to make sure her crew didn't die.
She cares about her crew. Good to know.
Luna rushed her, sprinting with what energy they had left and stabbed her hard, with a knife they borrowed from Smoker, fully made from Sea Prism Stone.
He's playing a more dangerous game then i am with these Sea Prism Stone knifes...
"YOU LITTLE BITCH!"
Upon hearing the reaction they retreated back a bit, standing up and grinning.
"Me? I'm not a bitch, well, maybe i am. But now you..you cant use your Devil Fruit powers!"

"Well, Maybe not..But, you should also be careful always watch your surroundings, yes?"

Their knees were kicked, hard, from behind and Luna fell on their face, struggling to breath a bit as a heavy boot was now on their back.
"Got 'em babe! Now what?"
Babe..? Shit i forgot about-
"Risa! Good job. Keep that asshole pinned down, the marines will BACK DOWN ONCE THEY REALIZE THEIR CAPTAIN WAS CAPTURED!"
The fighting died down as the rest of the Ghost Pirates finished off their opponents or the marines DID back down because of it.
"D-DONT STOP FIGH-"
Words were cut off by an aggressive stomp to the head, blood flowing from the nose and mouth.
"S-Sir! What do we do?"
Sure, ask the one who's literally eating dirt.
Risa lifted Luna up and threw them over onto the ground near Scarlett who'd already discarded the knife onto the ground. Risa landed another kick on Luna's stomach, coughing up blood.
"Well? You gonna send my head home in a box?"
"Oh, Haha, funny. But maybe! Risa, set them up"
Set me up?! What's that even supposed to mean?!
Risa grabbed Luna's arm and tied them behind their back. Their sword was held onto by another marine, who looked worried. They all did, and it worried Luna. Some were wounded and trying to help the others, it was a nightmare. Scarlett had her own terrifying sword right up against their neck. Cold. And scared..
Im on my knees. Hands behind my back. A sword to my neck. This is an execution. Im..gonna die...?
They never cried in situations where they were losing, well, since Coby and Helmeppo where normally there to help. Although this..was definitely different. They seriously didn't want to start sobbing in front of their crew, this was just plain embarrassing.
My ears are ringing..
Someone started speaking and a few marines started running to the ship, and they closed their eyes and let the tears just fall.
I'm so stupid..
A hard smack to the head from someone before they were eating dirt again. The boot was heavy on their head, but that didn't stop much as the tears and blood soaked into the ground. So much fuzzy yelling and panic. What was going on? It wasn't long before the ringing stoped and they heard the worst outcome.
"We DO have something that i'm sure you marines would find important, yes?"
She called someone from my transponder snail?!
"N..no please, don't..call..."
"Shut up!"
A swift kick to the jaw shut Luna up quickly, and probably broke their jaw. It felt stuck when they tried speaking again, nothing happening. What bothered Luna more was that they couldn't hear the other end all that well. Hopefully it was anyone but Coby..
"Yea, blonde, scar under eye, really fucking annoying? What about it? Expecting someone else?"
Shit
Every time they tried to move Risa only kicked them. They must've passed out, but by the time Luna opened their eyes again, they were still on the ground, staring at different boots. Risa, Scarlett, the other marines..
No...please no..
Unfortunately they knew those stupid black shoes too well. And the pair next to him. Sounded like he was trying to negotiate something, knowing him he definitely didn't want to fight anyone that'd result in more people hurt.
"..c..coby..?"
They managed to say something, but it was so quiet it didn't seem anyone heard them. But the DID feel the gaze of everyone when they had held themselves up with their arms, still coughing up some blood and..a few teeth. It seemed that Coby tried to approach them only to be stopped by Scarlett.
"Our deal first, Captain."
Deal..?
They looked up at Coby, he had the SMILE in hand. Huh, he did it. As he went to hand it to Scarlett-
Wait?
He was gonna give it to her?!
In exchange for them?!
"N-NO!"
Standing up, they caught themselves from falling and only took a step before more hell broke loose. Actually, this hell was more controlled. Coby punched Scarlett in the face WITH the SMILE in hand, Risa fell to the ground with a thud, seeming as though she was hit hard by Helmeppo.
"RISA!"
Scarlett had gone to her girlfriends aid and that put her in shackles. Sea Prism Stone. Finally someone picked Luna up, they only saw blurs of everything and more ringing as someone quickly brought them to the ship's infirmary.
How long have i been out..?
Too long.
Well then get up!
Can't. We lost too much blood to be awake right now. They'll have to do a transfusion.
But who-
Coby will try. Although he doesn't have the same blood type, he knows that.

Oh, it's time for you to wake up, they found someone.
Slowly but surely, they did wake up. By a blinding light and a doctor right over their face.
"Mhm..I-Im..awake.."
Their non wrapped up hand was taken up by someone, warm and happy. Coby. A weak smile at him.
"Hey..Uhm..Sorry.."
"Don't..okay? I'm just..so glad you're okay. Turns out you and Helmeppo have the same blood type."
We do...?
He nodded, kissing their forehead and then pointed over to the next bed, Helmeppo passed out sleeping.
"Ah, nice..But uhm..is anyone mad at me..?"
Coby instinctively rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously.
"Garp is..a little. Miss Suki is worried about you, and Osano is definitely gonna scold you for it."
"Oh..How fun.."
Coby wrapped his arms around Luna carefully.
He's so warm..
And smells like peaches.
"I hate seeing you cry."
Scoffing, Luna put their good arm around his neck and hand in his hair, leaning on him. They almost spoke directly into his neck too.
"I can say the same.."
"Yea..you know we wouldn't have been able to get Scarlett without you, right?"
"Nope."
More laughter, it made them blush and smile.
"I'm serious, that knife really helped."
"Alright Mr punchy."
Luna giggled and let him do his own freak out, before kissing his cheek.
"Coby?"
"Yes?"
"Wanna go on a date after this..?"
"You do know you're in here for probably a month or so, right? Deep wounds."
"Yea, but hospital dates are nice too."
He moved again, standing next to the bed and putting his hand on the back of their head to pull them in for another forehead kiss. Luna's favorite type of kiss from him.
"Sure they are. But, Luna, I'm proud of you. That fight was hard."
Here come the waterworks!
And they did cry, Coby laughing while just holding them close and rubbing their back.
"Love you blondie."
"A-And i love you too strawberry hair.."
"But please remember to work on your terrible planning, okay?"
