Snowflake (OC&Bucky Barnes)

Summary:

How old was she? Couldn't be sure. Agent 33 has lived a long and exhausting life was missions and assassinations. You would think that by someone's late fifties, they would stop fighting and settle down in a home. Instead, Agent 33 continues killing while still in her eighties. Although she is old, she looks far from it, hasn't aged past age twenty-one.

The explanations for this? Unknown. She is unaware of how she developed this ability to live longer, and HYDRA wouldn't tell her regardless, even after it fell. Agent 33 never minded until a series of fortunate events led her to discover someone that she didn't know existed. Her father.

Chapter 1: 1- This Might Be Something

Chapter Text

T.W. Disclaimer: violence, death

1997

The two casually walk inside the club, him walking ahead of her. He gracefully walked, blue eyes searching for ones he recognized. Her eyes stayed ahead as she followed her boss. Their faces looked monotone, similar to robots scanning their surroundings. The two walked up to a man surrounded by people, and his eyes lit up with excitement.

"Pierce," He greeted," Glad to see you came."

Pierce smiled and shook the man's hand, the woman stood close to him, still and emotionless.

" Well when someone makes an offer like yours, Mr. Hall, how can I ignore?" Pierce smiled at the man, who began to shoo off random guests he had around his arm before leading the two new people into a private room.

The man laughed lightly at his potential business partner," With merchandise like yours, how can I not?"

They ordered drinks before returning to their meeting. "Did you bring what I asked for?" He asked Pierce, who just gestured to the woman next to him. She stayed still, watching both of the men discuss the deal.

Mr. Hall, on the other hand, looked completely shocked. He stood up to examine the woman. Besides a few scars that seemed barely visible, she looked frail. Her dark brown hair was tightly tied into a low ponytail. She was small, and wore a red cocktail dress, with matching red lipstick and heels.

Her gaze lifted to meet the man's, who looked almost disappointed. Hall turned back towards Pierce," She is the assassin? I thought you would choose someone stronger."

This didn't offend either guest, in fact, Pierce found it amusing. " What, like your superhero villain back there?" He pointed out a large, burly, bald man standing behind Hall to guard him. A small smile formed on the woman's face as she looked the bodyguard up and down to see any other stereotypical evil characteristics.

" I just need someone capable."

" She is more than capable."

" Pierce, I trust you, but you can't be serious. This is barely a woman."

" Well then," Pierce stood," If you don't want her then we'll just leave."

Hall thought as they began turning before calling the two back due to reconsideration. " Prove it," and when they looked at him with confusion, he continued on," I trust you, Pierce, of course I do, but you can't expect me to trust that a little girl will take on a task such as this."

The man shrugged his shoulders in response before agreeing to these terms. Pierce tilted his head to the woman only slightly before ordering her to kill the bodyguard.

The bodyguard's eyes widened as the woman began to approach him with a smile, and in a panic, he threw a punch her way. She swiftly dodged and instead grabbed onto his fist with one hand. Before he could pull away, the woman sent her hand into the back of his elbow, finding a rather creative way to separate the forearm and the upper arm.

He yipped in shock and pain, but barely had time to register her actions before she continued her attack. The bodyguard tried to swing his good arm back her way, but she leaned to avoid the swing. Her eyes rolled in boredom as she thought to herself,' Hall really thought that this man could really protect him from a trained assassin?'

The woman attempted to get on his shoulders, but he slammed his hand in her direction to make that difficult, so she decided to wrap her legs around the arm and turn her body in a way to throw off his balance and slam him into the floor.

The two businessmen watched this encounter with different expressions. Hall looked horrified at her actions, guilt and regret already building. Pierce, on the other hand, looked proud as she grabbed one of her heels and shook it to reveal a blade popping out of the heel.

The man was disoriented by the time he hit the floor, so he had little time to react before she thrusted the blade heel down at the bodyguard's head-

"Stop," Pierce calmly ordered, to which the woman immediately paused her action. The blade was inches away from piercing the bodyguard's eye, and he just laid there still. " I change my mind," Pierce continued," Don't kill him. Return to station."

Without hesitation, the woman followed her orders and calmly returned by his side, returning her special heel to her foot. Hall just stared at them while they awaited his response to the attack.

After a few long seconds of waiting, Pierce sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose," Listen, Mr. Hall. I am a busy man, as are you. I would like it if you decide quickly."

Silently, the man pulled out a briefcase before holding it out to Pierce. The woman took it instead, placing it on the table and opening it to check if their prize was in there.

Inside wasn't money or priceless jewels, but instead a cylinder container. Inside was a liquid metal. The woman lifted the object out of the briefcase and tilted it to watch how the metal moved before quickly putting it back and closing the case.

Pierce turned to Hall," This is it?"

" Yes, it is what you asked for. And you will do what I asked for?" Hall held his hand out to the side, leading the Hall to next grab a manila file folder to give to Pierce.

He looked at it before chuckling and looking at his partner," Well, Снежинка, looks like you're going to Paris."

A Week Later

The woman sat in her room eating mashed potatoes that tasted more like lead. Her hair was let out of a ponytail, but it seems to be slicked back slightly due to the amount of gel she used to keep it in a perfect-looking bun.

The room itself was bland with grey concrete walls and floors, and the only other thing inside was a small mattress on a barely holding-together bed. She didn't need anything special, nor did she want anything.

Her door opened to reveal her boss, who held out a folder. The woman looks at him confused, as she0 had just returned from a mission not an hour ago,  before taking the file and began reading it while the soldier explained the situation.

" это была подделка" (it was a fake) He let her know. She nodded in understanding. The item they tried to acquire was thought of as a myth, but the idea of its existence was enough for HYDRA to search. There was no way they could've known it was what they wanted unless they tested it in labs.

Professor Hall had been the only one to study and presumably discover the new element. Since he had given them a fake gives off the idea that he truly did find it, as he wouldn't be stupid enough to discover even a mineral and mistake it for a legend.

" Я напрасно убил принцессу," (I killed the princess for nothing/I killed the princess in vain) she muttered to herself as she looked at her next target. Hall shouldn't have lied.

His house was beautiful, that was something she had to praise him for. It was a lovely house near the coast in Malibu. The woman looked at all of his metals and pictures that he had of his younger years: graduation certificates, pictures of family, other geeky things that she cared little for.

Not too long after her break-in and snooping did Hall make an entrance. He came out of his basement muttering a bit, a tablet in one hand. His focus was solely on the information that needed to be recorded, so the woman decided to sit down in his office chair and put her legs on his desk while she waited for him to get closer to her.

Hall entered his office and looked up to turn the light on only to find the assassin he hired over a week ago sitting in his chair. His eyes widened as the tablet in his hands slowly slid out and hit the floor with a thud.

"Careful," She muttered with a heavy Russian accent," You'll wake the kids."

They stared at each other for a short time as she waited for him to speak. It was obvious that he didn't know what to say. He was too terrified to ask questions or even move. The woman sighed," I'm surprised you didn't at least try to get another bodyguard, not like that would matter."

Her fingers wrapped around a picture frame to reveal Hall with three little children and a wife. He took a shaky step forward," Please don't hurt them, they're just kids."

The woman tilted her head in confusion," You're the one who put their lives in danger when giving my boss the wrong element?"

He apologized profusely, but realizing that the woman was half-paying attention to his pleas, he continued to talk about his family in hope of reaching some form of humanity in her heart," My wife, her name's Vanessa. My children's names are Tommy, Maggie, John."

The woman smiled slightly," Well I'm Agent thirty-three."

He turned his head slightly to the side in confusion before backing away in fear. She wouldn't tell him any information if she wasn't sure that he wouldn't be alive to tell it.

The woman's smile quickly turned into an emotionless expression. 'Don't play with your food,' she could hear her trainer repeat to her inside of her head. Calmly, Agent 33 revealed her gun with a suppressor on the end. The moment she aimed it at Hall was the moment he began to run as quickly as possible out of the room.

As he ran to the home telephone, the agent got out of her chair and walked towards where she knew he would be. As he typed in '911,' she rounded the corner with one hand on her hip. The line was dead.

" Do you consider me an amateur?" The woman joked as she raised her gun at him.

Hall panicked and grabbed a dirty plate and a knife from his previous dinner and threw both at her one at a time. The woman dodged the plate and decided to catch the knife. The plate shattered behind her as Agent 33 quickly shot Hall.

"Honey? Are you okay?" Another woman's voice echoed from the top of the stairs. The HYDRA agent just stared at the direction the voice came from in surprise. 'Who hears a noise in their house and decides to call out to it?' she thought to herself.

Sighing a little, the agent calmly walked to the stairs to look at who was likely Hall's wife. It was indeed Hall's wife, and she was a quarter of the way down the stairs when she registered the figure at the bottom of the steps to not be her husband.

"Oh my-" She could barely shout before she too was shot.

"Mommy?" A child's voice called out.

"Christ," the agent pinched the bridge of her nose before ascending the stairs to take care of the children. Hall really should've been more quiet.

After that was done, the woman returned to the office to retrieve the tablet. A quick little hack made getting into his information easy. The light to the basement was still on, which reminded Agent 33 to go exploring. She practically skipped down the stairs whistling Puttin' On the Ritz.

The basement was not very clean, with papers strewn about the place discussing many theories. It seemed that the element was a recent discovery to him, which made it easier to steal. No one knows of its existence still, only the theory.

Agent 33 looked around the place until she finally found their prize. In a medium sized container was a liquid-like element floating in the center. The container was lit up and humming, likely exerting some sort of energy that was being used to stimulate the element.

After the quick analysis, the woman quickly grabbed the item, which thankfully the container had a handle at the top, and the collected data Hall got from observing the element.

She grabbed her phone held it up to her ear. " У меня есть посылка." (I have the package).

The box hummed as the element floated around in a liquid state. It is no longer a myth. The unbelievable is residing in her hand. Something that could be an improvement to health or a weapon of mass destruction.

Gravitonium.

Author's Note:

Hey everyone! Welcome to my new book! Sorry for the likely poor Russian. I do not know the language, so I used a few translators. Hopefully it still effectively gets the point across. Also, for those who are a little confused, I am using a few aspects of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the storyline. It is an amazing show, definitely worth the watch. This won't tie into the show despite all of the references, and it also won't tie into the Marvel Movies or shows often. It may be a bit confusing at first, but I promise things will make sense in the end.

Thank you for reading this far and I hope you all have a wonderful day/night/(insert holiday here!)
