For some, red is the color of love. The shade seeps a warmth that feels as if it could scald you, yet many don't fear its touch, only revel its embrace. However, Shin Tsukimi never wished to feel even the heat of the smoke. It was too harsh, too hot, feeling more like a raging fire than a pleasant hold. Even now, Shin would not say the color of love is red. He would say it's blue.
Blue. The shade does not warm, but it cools. It's a sea that calms the raging fire held within him. It doesn't engulf him, but it lets him float. Not once does he fear breathing the water in, as he knows despite all odds, he'll feel only air pushing into his lungs.
Unlike the warmth, it doesn't burn down the walls Shin has spent so long building. The cool blue only erodes them gently and slowly. It may not make him feel warm, but for once, he's cool. And that feels good.
For some, love is a fierce red. For Shin, love is a soothing blue. Neither one is the correct way to love the grand scheme of things, but Shin grasps one thing. He feels the most alive when he's in the calming sea.
