Honeys of my mind

Summary:

What if Gregory and Freddy find the crying child, (Evan) inside of Freddy's dressing room? The three of them work together to solve the mystery of the Mega PizzaPlex and try to survive until six am. But all the while of trying to survive, Gregory gets gravelly annoyed at Evan who is crying every minute of the long and stressful night. He has had enough of Evan crying and wants to do something about it.

Only what can he do?

"I-I need to use it..." Evan says quietly as he, Gregory, and Glamrock Freddy walk in silence.

"Use it?" Freddy questions with a puzzled expression. There was a small clicking sound that his robotic eyes made.

"Don't tell me," Gregory groans. He slaps a hand on his face. "You-"

"I need to use the bathroom..."

"Are you serious?"

"The bathroom!"

Work Text:

"I-I need to use it..." Evan says quietly as he, Gregory, and Glamrock Freddy walk in silence.

"Use it?" Freddy questions with a puzzled expression. There was a small clicking sound that his robotic eyes made.

"Don't tell me," Gregory groans. He slaps a hand on his face. "You-"

"I need to use the bathroom..."

"Are you serious?"

Gregory stares at the shorter kid with displeased eyes. His arms crossed over his chest as he shook his head. “You seriously can’t hold it until morning?”

The shorter male shook his head and he hid behind Freddy with a shy and guilty expression. “No…I’m sorry…” He apologizes with a large frown.

“Gregory,” Freddy’s eyes averted from the kid to an annoyed Gregory. “From what I have been told, “using the bathroom” as Evan has mentioned is a normal experience humans have.”

“Well, yeah,” Gregory agrees, his nose upturns a bit. “But he can’t at least hold it?”

“I can’t,” Evan’s legs bounced a bit, showing that he really needed to go. “Please?”

“Ugh,” Gregory grumbles. “Fine. Freddy, is there any bathroom available?”

“Everything should be closed,” Freddy’s eyes clicked as his ears wiggled. “But if you somehow get a master key that is usually kept in the security offices, you should be able to get one.”

“Right.” Gregory nods his head. “Let’s go then.” He was the first to walk off, leaving Evan and Freddy behind. He doesn’t mean to be rude to Evan. He means well, but Gregory couldn’t help but get annoyed. In the first half of the night, all Evan did was cry and complain about wanting to go home and see his sister again. Freddy did his best to encourage the young male but it did not work that well as the animatronics were constantly trying to kill them.

That sent Evan into a crying state as he and Gregory were forced to split up from Freddy multiple times and try to outsmart the killing animatronics. Evan would grip Gregory’s arm in fear as the one time they had to stay in the security office from Chica, Monty, and Roxy for them to live. Evan was a crying mess as he had never been in that type of situation before. Gregory wanted to cry as well but held in his emotions to get them both out of hell. He felt bad Evan was in the situation but was annoyed that he was crying too much. (And don’t even get Gregory started on how the whole daycare thing went down)

But what made Gregory even more annoyed was how they found Evan.

It was a little soon after Freddy had found Gregory inside his chest cavity. Gregory was about to go unlock the door when Freddy said his sensors had sensed someone inside the room with them, They came to find a sleeping Evan hidden under a dresser. It was a weird interaction as Evan barely explained why he was there. He just said that “They were looking for me, so I just ran and passed out,”

Some excuses, but Gregory had no room for talking. So he didn’t press on it.

The rest is history as Gregory constantly got annoyed at Evan and came to find out that he was two years younger than him. (Gregory is 12 and Evan is 10). Though, his age didn’t comply with all the crying he did. With Evan constantly by his side, Gregory was getting more and more ticked off by the second.

Gregory’s eye twitched as he can hear Freddy’s and Evan’s light conversation. Evan’s voice was quiet and timid while Freddy spoke gently and lightly. As they talked about whatever, Gregory suddenly heard Chica’s voice in the distance. Oh no.

“Guys!” Gregory turns towards Evan and Freddy with wide eyes. “Chica is nearby!”

Evan’s smile immediately disappeared and he grips Freddy’s arm. “W-What?”

“We must hide.” Freddy declares. “The both of you cannot fit inside of my chest department.” The robot’s eyes searched around for some ideas. His eyes then clicked as he spotted a bathroom nearby. He looks up at the walls and his eyes click again, this time his ears wiggling.

“Up there,” Freddy points at a vent just up above the bathroom. “There is a small vent the both of you can crawl through. If my calculations are correct, there should be another vent inside that male's restroom. Do you think you both can do it?” Freddy looks at Gregory and then at Evan.

“Yeah. If it means hiding from Chica for a while.” Gregory was in on the plan and wanted to do it.

“I-I don’t know…” Evan blinks as he bites his lower lip. “The last time we were in the vents, those scary robots tried to attack us…”

A valid point Gregory won’t lie. But they don’t have time for thinking of another plan. It was either that or they get caught by Chica or the others.

“Do not fear, superstar.” Freddy tries to comfort him with a gentle voice. “It is only for a few minutes. You have your fazwatch so you can contact me whenever. you want. Meet me in parts and service when Chica is gone.”

“Freddy!”

Chica was getting closer and they needed to leave for the vents now.

“Right!”

The three of them run over the vent and Freddy was able to pull the cover off with ease. He then picks up Gregory first and pushes him into the vent, Evan soon following after.

“Remember,” Freddy reminds the two kids. “Parts and service.”

“O-Okay…” Evan sniffs with a tear rolling down his face. “Got it…” He looks back at Freddy one last time before following Gregory inside of the tight vent. He can hear Freddy closing the vent shut and Chica soon approaching him, asking him questions about the missing kids.

“Come on,” Gregory’s voice startled Evan out of his thoughts and he nodded. “I think this is it.” Gregory stops abruptly, forcing Evan to do the same. He couldn’t see what Gregory was doing but he can hear.

Gregory hits the vent with his elbow that was just before him. Cool air passed through them as Gregory successfully open the vent. Though, the cover fell on the ground, making a loud sound.

Evan held his breath as Gregory stopped moving completely. It was quiet and both males prayed that Chica or anyone else had heard it. A few moments passed and Gregory assumed that it was safe to go.

Hurriedly, Gregory crawls out of the same vent and lands head-first on the ground. He grunts in pain and Evan gasp in shock.

“Are you okay?!” His black eyes stared at Gregory. “You landed on your head!”

“I’m fine…” Gregory rubs his head and stood up slowly, using the wall as support to stand up. “You can go now. I’ll catch you.” His brown eyes averted up. “Evan?”

“Oh…are you sure?” Evan blinks. “I don’t want to hurt you…”

“You won’t,” Gregory insisted with a small sigh. “I promise I’ll catch you.” He holds out his arms to do so.

“...”

“What?” Gregory was getting a bit annoyed again.

“You aren’t lying?” Evan confirms. “Like, you promise-promise?”

"Yes!" Gregory groans and scowls. "Are you going to do it or not?"

"..." Evan takes a deep breath and falls through the vent with a loud yelp. He shuts his eyes tightly and felt ready for pain.

But none came.

"See?" Gregory's annoyed voice broke Evan out of his fearful state of mind and he opened his eyes. "I caught you as I promised."

"O-Oh…" Evan blinks as Gregory gently sets him on his feet, Evan wobbling a bit. "You caught me…"

"Well yeah. Hope you didn't piss on me either." As Gregory goes to check his clothes for any pee stains Evan might've caused, Evan stood there with wide and curious eyes.

Gregory kept his promise. No one ever did. It was surprising. His family never kept promises. His dad would always cancel stuff at the last minute and promise they spend time together some other day. But they never did.

Michael never kept his promises as well. And if he did, the outcomes would be pretty bad. (He doesn't want to elaborate on it) Michael bullied Evan and he couldn't fight back. How could he when that person is a lot bigger and stronger than you? Michael is twice his size and there's no way he stands a chance.

Elizabeth, his sister, isn't so bad. She's nice to him but can be a bit repulsive and greedy at times. She doesn't promise anything and does stuff right then and there to get it over with. And it was pretty obvious who Michael favors over the two. Elizabeth is treated like a princess and gets new things while Evan just got whatever what's left. He doesn't try to complain but it's getting harder to do so now that is slowly realizing how abusive they are. (And at such a young age)

Why were promises so special to Evan? He doesn't know.

With a small shaky sigh, Evan goes to one of the urinals, barely tall enough to reach, and aims his piss at it. The feeling of needing to pee washed over the younger male again and he quickly uses it, nearly sighing in relief at the overwhelming and pleasurable feeling.

Still peeing, Evan can hear Gregory entering one of the stalls and closing it a bit harshly. Evan flinched at the sound but doesn't say anything about it. He knows Gregory is annoyed at him. It was obvious and Evan felt bad for getting in the way. If he didn't need to pee, maybe they would be in parts and service with Freddy right now.

"I'm sorry…" Evan says quietly as he finishes his business.

"Sorry?" Gregory's voice rang out in the empty bathroom.

"Yes…" The crying child zips his pants up. "For getting in the way and crying all the time."

"Oh…" Gregory goes silent and the sound of him pulling up his shorts and zipping them up. He doesn't bother flushing and walks out of the stall with a puzzled expression.

"Are you going to wash your hands?"

"Oh yeah." Evan blushes and mentally scolds himself for not doing the simple task. He shuffles over to the sink but sighs as he wasn't tall enough to reach the soap dispenser. "Dang it!" He stands on his tiptoes but still failed.

"Here. Let me help." Gregory easily reaches to the soap dispenser and lathers some over Evan's hand. "Need help reaching the sink?" Gregory teases.

"No!" Evan huffs as he turns on the water. "I got it."

"Sure, tough guy."

The two boys wash their hands in silence, the only sounds of the water splashing and running. Evan finishes first and turns off the water, quickly shuffling over to the paper towel dispenser and grabbing a couple of sheets.

He wipes his hands and tries to take a step back for Gregory to get some.

Suddenly, he felt the back of his head hit something soft and a bit squishy.

"Hey!"

Evan quickly turns around and his cheeks flush red. "O-Oh! I'm sorry!"

He drops the paper towels and blinks. He accidentally hit Gregory's chest. He didn't mean to. But…

Why was it so squishy?

He wasn't trying to be rude or anything but because of television and finding some of Michael's porno magazines, Evan came to realize that…

His eyes widen as he looks into Gregory's brown eyes.

"You're a girl?"

N-No!" Gregory blushes as he backs away from Evan. "Stop it! I-I mean…" He tumbles over his words. "I'm not a girl…I'm a boy."

"But you're a girl," Evan says slowly; his eyes never leaving Gregory's. "You have-"

"I know what I have!" Gregory growls as he bulks up at Evan. He pushes the shorter male towards the wall. "But that isn't your business."

"I-I'm sorry!" Evan can feel tears forming in the corner of his eyes. "I didn't mean to-"

His fazwatch suddenly beeped.

"Evan?"

It was Freddy. Thank god he called.

"Freddy!" Evan quickly answers as his eyes never left Gregory's.

"Thank goodness you're alright! Is Gregory there?"

"Y-Yes…"

"Excellent!" Freddy sounded relieved. "Unfortunately, I have some terrible news. You see, I have checked the security cameras around the bathroom you two are in and I do not think you can make it out without getting caught without the security bots catching you."

"What are you saying, Freddy?" Evan asks. "We have to stay in here longer?"

"Fortunately, yes. But good news! It only has to be about fifteen minutes! It is not a long wait!"

Evan feels his heart leap out of his chest as Gregory growls under his breath.

"Make sure to behave, Gregory. Try not to cry, Evan. The two of you should be quiet. I wish I can do more to help but the only thing I can do is wait for you two in parts and service. I will see you soon."

"Bye Freddy…" Evan gulps as he turns off his fazwatch and shuffles in place. He doesn't want to look at Gregory right now. He can practically hear the angry frown he has on his face.

"I'm sorry…" Evan squeaks out after a moment of silence. "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings…I didn't know you are a girl-"

"I'm not a girl!" Gregory corrects again with a sneer. "God, can you get it through your head?! I'm a boy! A boy like you!"

"B-But-" Evan doesn't understand. Was Gregory a girl or a boy? He knows for sure what he felt. "You didn't use the urinals as I did…"

“So?” Gregory raises his voice. “That isn’t any of your business. Why do you care?”

“I-I just asked a question!” Evan tries to say. “I’m sorry if-” Evan was truly confused. He vaguely remembers his father saying that people like Gregory are sinful and wrong. But was that truly the case? Was what Gregory was doing wrong?

Evan didn't know. He was confused.

"Stop apologizing!" Gregory snaps. "You're always apologizing and you're not even sorry!" He waves his arms around and Evan backs away, his back hitting the wall. "G-Gre-"

"Shut up!" Gregory leans close to Evan's face. "Just shut up! I'm tired of hearing your voice! I'm tired of you crying and whining every freaking moment! Why can't you just ever…Shut up!"

Gregory's voice was loud, loud enough for it to echo throughout the bathroom and be heard from outside. His face was red and his hands were clenched into fists.

Evan blinks and gulps, his tears finally escaping the corner of his eyes. So there it was. Gregory's turn feelings. He knew it. Nobody likes him. No one would ever like him.

He was too weak.

As Evan was going to do something, anything, there was a sudden bang on the door, startling both boys.

Crap! Someone was there and heard them!

Quickly thinking, Gregory grabs Evan by his hand and pulls them both inside a bathroom stall, locking the door and sitting on the toilet.

"Come on!" Gregory whispered shots as there was clambering on the other side of the door. "Sit on my lap!"

"...." Evan does it without arguing and sits on Gregory's lap, blushing as Gregory scoots back and can put both of his feet on the toilet seat. There, in that position, Evan felt like he wanted to die. His legs were in between Gregory's parted ones and his arms were forced to hold them up.

Gregory's breath tickled his neck and he shivers as an unknown feeling slowly sprouted in between his legs. It was suddenly getting too hot and everything felt hazy.

They stay like that for a couple more seconds before the bathroom door opened and the sound of heavy robotic footsteps filled their ears.

Evan's voice hitched and he wanted to sob. They're dead! They're dead now! It was nice living. He didn't really like his family or school but it was a bit nice. He liked Freddy too. He was the nicest robot he ever met. Gregory too. He likes Gregory despite Gregory not liking him that much. That was fine. Nobody likes him.

His breathing became labored and Gregory covered his mouth to keep him quiet. Thank god for Gregory.

"Oh, kids!" Chica's voice rang out in the bathroom as she walked inside. "I have candy! Come with me so I can take you boys back to your mommies and daddy's!"

She walks past their stall and continues talking.

"Come out, kids! I promise you're in good hands!"

She then goes quiet, scaring Evan and Gregory. What was she doing?

Evan trembles in Gregory's lap as a small sob almost falls out of his mouth. He tries to calm his heavy breathing by biting his tongue, doing anything to prevent Chica from attacking them.

The smaller child looks at Gregory with wide and fearful eyes, begging for them to do something. But he knows that Gregory is just as scared as he is.

Gregory shakes his head, eyes just as wide as Evan's. His hand squeezes Evan's mouth in some sort of comfort. "It'll be over soon. Just keep still." Even can hear Gregory think.

So, the smaller child tries to keep quiet and relax. He can do this. Only a couple of more minutes before Chica will leave.

Blinking, Evan sighs softly through Gregory's cool hand. Keep focus. He can do this. He can…

Looking up, Evan's heart felt like it had leaped out of his chest. His mouth fell open and a loud shriek erupted.

There was Chica, staring at them with wide eyes. Her mouth (or beak) was wide open and her head peeked over the stall.

"Peak-a-boo!" Chica laughs and tries reaching for Evan who was the closest in her grasp range.

"No!" Evan quickly moves out of the way, his forehead hitting the stall door.

"Evan!" Gregory leaps from the toilet and gets on the ground. "Come on!" The older boy begins to crawl underneath the stalls, Evan following in pursuit.

Chica giggles as she follows them just outside the stalls they were crossing underneath. "Gregory! Evan!" She grabs Evan's foot and the poor boy screams in fear.

"Gregory!" Evan shouts in sheer fear as Chica begins to drag him. "NO! NO!" He sobs loudly, trying to break out of her grasp.

"Evan!" Gregory crawls from underneath the stalls and quickly looks around for something to get.

Evan screams louder as Chica tightens her grip around his ankle. His sobs racked through his vocal cords, his heart beating fast and his vision hazy.

"Let him go!"

Gregory charges at Chica at full speed with the vent cover in his hands. He slammed the vent in her face, messing up her sensors and vision. Immediately, she lets go of Evan and he scrambles away quickly, hugging Gregory's arm.

"Come on!" Gregory had no time to think as he grabs Evan's trembling hand and pulls them both out of the bathroom before Chica could get up.

The two boys ran away from that bathroom, Chica following after them in hot pursuit.

"This way!" Gregory pulls Evan as they ran up the escalator. "There should be a security office around here…"

And there was indeed a security office. Just around the corner. The two boys hurried to get into the office, hoping that they would make it on time.

And they did.

Quickly, Gregory shoves Evan inside and slams the door shut just before Chica could get to them.

"The other door!" Gregory points at the other door parallel to the other. "Hurry! Evan!" Gregory pleads.

"O-Okay!"

Evan runs over to the door and locks it just before Chica could open it. Her sudden appearance made Evan scream as she pounds on the door harshly. The metal clang together creating a loud sound and scaring Evan into wailing more.

His legs collapsed on the ground as relief flowed throughout his body. He thanked god and promised he’ll start praying more when the horrible night is over. Evan sobs more as Gregory pulls him underneath the desk, hugging the boy for dear life. His arms were just as trembling as Evan’s were.

Chica continues banging on the door, her robotic laughter continuously and repeating the same pitch.

"G-Gregory!" Evan wails in the crook of Gregory's neck. "I…we…." He begins to stutter.

"I-I know…" Gregory tries to keep his composure as he looks at his fazwatch and contacts Freddy. Maybe he'll know what to do.

"Freddy!" Gregory sighed in relief when the nice animatronic answered. "Oh my god, Freddy!"

"Gregory!" Freddy's voice sounded concerned. "Where are you and Evan? Why is Evan crying?"

"Chica found us and tried attacking us!" Gregory rambles. "We managed to block her off in the security office but I don't think she's going to leave anytime soon!"

"Chica attacked?! I do not know what to tell you. I am…in a different situation that requires me to stay for a while…"

"Wait what? Is your battery low?"

"Unfortunately, yes." Freddy sounded sad. "I cannot come to you both at the moment but please stay inside of the office for a while."

"We're doing that." Gregory sighs as he looks at Evan who was done sobbing. He was silent now, quiet tears rolling down his face. His cheeks were puffy and his eyes were red. He looked…tired.

"I am sorry for leaving you two on your own. But I will hurry as best as I can. I have already tracked where you are."

"Okay…see you soon, Freddy." Gregory turns off his watch and sighs as Evan cuddles closer to him, clinging onto his arm for dear life.

"You doing alright, Evan?"

"....no…"

"Alright."

"I-I mean…" Evan glances up at Gregory with sad eyes. "I think I'm doing fine…and…I'm sorry."

"Sorry?"

"For…assuming you're a girl…my father always told me that people like you are the reason the world is turning bad." His British accent was almost too thick but Gregory understood what he was saying. And quite frankly, he was happy Evan was trying to learn and understand instead of hating. He genuinely looked curious as his eyes showed his true emotions.

"It's okay I guess." Gregory shrugs his shoulders. "You didn't know…and I'm sorry for yelling at you. I was just so mad at you earlier that I just…snapped at you."

"That's alright," Evan smiles a little. "I've been called worse by my brother and father…"

"And I've been called worse by other kids at school…"

The two go quiet for a moment, sitting underneath the desk and cuddling. It was a nice moment and both boys enjoyed it without complaining. And with time passing, Evan realizes that there was no more banging on the door.

His black eyes glance at both doors and gently pats Gregory's thigh.

"Hmm?" He hums softly.

"Chica is gone."

"So I noticed."

"You knew?"

"For a little bit, yeah. I was waiting for you to notice."

"Oh." Evan giggles a bit and wipes his eyes. "But I want to stay in here for a little longer…with you…"

"Me too…" Gregory agrees as he pulls his knees to his chest. "If I'm being honest…you aren't that bad, Evan…"

"..."

Evan blushes at the small compliment (?) And shuffle nervously beside Gregory. Wow. He never received any compliments. It was rare and he doesn't know how to react or feel about them. His heart feels like it is going to explode and his body seemed to react every time he looks at Gregory.

What was this feeling?
