Work Text:
The brown-haired coordinator would be walking in circles around the main lobby's table with a nervous expression in her eyes. She seemed worried about something, a very special something.
Without any type of permission or question, a fair-skinned man would enter the room. His shoulders and head would be covered by a sort of green hoodie, only wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt under it. His name was Naib Subedar, the mercenary. "Everything's set and ready outside "— He said with a serious, low-key aggressive voice tone, which was actually his way to speak to almost everyone in that manor. He would notice how his fellow comrade seemed to be in tension, so he would walk up to where she was to then touch her shoulder from behind, scaring her — "Don't worry, ok? Everything will go just as planned. Just remember, don't panic" —
Martha would then look up, knowing that Naib was right. She wouldn't be able to do anything for Vera in that state — "In, out... Okay, I'm calm..." — The coordinator said, taking a deep breath as she looked back at the mercenary. — "Good. Now go get changed. You can do this, Martha" — Even if the mercenary's words sounded harsh and sharp, the coordinator knew he really meant it in a good way. — "I know, thanks Naib" — She said with a smile to then walk out of the lobby up to her room. Today was going to be a great day.

The mid-day sunlight would enter through the old wooden window, illuminating the white-walled room. A feminine silhouette would be laying down in the only bed in the room, looking at the roof as different thoughts passed through her head. Surprisingly, they were all about a certain someone. When she noticed that, the perfumer would get out of the bed to then walk to her wardrobe. No, she couldn't be in love, right? Her presence was just nice, it was a simple feeling of intimate friendship, or well, that's what she wanted to believe. Vera would've continued asking herself any other many questions if it wasn't for that knock at the door.
"Coming! "— Said the perfumer as she walked up to the door. Her eyes would open wide in surprise as she saw who was outside. Martha Behamfil, one of her closest friends in the manor, and the reason for those "romantic friendship" thoughts. — "Oh, he-hello Martha! "— Vera said, trying to hide her nerves as she looked at the coordinator. She seemed to be wearing one of those "costumes" the host gave them from time to time. It was a white coat with a sky-blue ribbon, accompanied by a skirt of the same colour and a white classic hat with another ribbon. Why all the presentation? Did she forget any special date today? — "Hi Vera! Can you come with me for a second?" — The coordinator asked with a warm smile. Everything would be okay. — "Umm, sure" — She answered, not knowing what her friend needed or wanted. And without a second to ask, her hand would be grabbed by the coordinator's as she guided her downstairs, out of the dorm area.
After some time, they would arrive at the garden's door, where Martha asked Vera to close her eyes as she covered them too, just in case. The perfumer's confusion and intrigue were great at this point, but she agreed and did what the coordinator said. Then, Martha would slowly open the door and guide the perfumer into the roofed garden.
"Surprise!" — The brown-eyed coordinator would say as she uncovered Vera's eyes, showing her a fine crystal table with two seats, where laid different homemade desserts and two cups of tea, accompanied by their respective kettle. — "Do you like it? It's for you!" — Martha said with an enthusiastic smile. The perfumer didn't know what to say or do, just standing there with a noticeable blush on her face. Did she really do all of that just for her? Vera couldn't believe it — "Ye-yes, it's beautiful" — She answered as she walked next to the table. Everything was carefully positioned, and the table was shining clean, all according to Vera's preferences.
The brown-haired perfumer would take a seat in the left chair, while the coordinator sat in the right one. — "Bon appetite, Mon Ami" — Martha said with a warm smile as the perfumer blushed, trying to dissimulate it taking a sip of her tea. They had a very pleasant evening, talking, laughing, and drinking, until it the time came. It was now or never for Martha.
"Vera, can I ask you something?" — The coordinator asked to her partner — "Sure, what is it?" — Vera answered leaving her cup over the table. Martha inhaled and exhaled, trying to avoid getting overwhelmed by her own nerves. — "Would you... Would you like to go out with me?!" — She said suddenly, blushing and looking at the perfumer. This was the first time Vera saw this side of Martha, so nervous, so... afraid. She would blush too, being surprised by the coordinator's proposal. Now it was time to know what they were if friends or more. — "Sure" — She said looking to the side to avoid her face from being seen with such an expression in front of Martha. The white-dressed coordinator would giggle a bit at Vera's reaction, to then get up from the chair and walk next to the perfumer, who was still looking aside and didn't notice her partner's moves. Martha then would take advantage of that, giving her a kiss on the cheek to surprise her. It was effective, as Vera jumped in her seat and looked in surprise to the coordinator to then smile slightly. — "Je t'aime, Vera" —
— "Je t'aime aussi, Martha" —
