Chapter Text
Satoru Gojo sat on a pile of bare white skeletons. He took off his usual blindfold. What was the use when there was no one to see him anyways?
He didn’t know how time flowed in the prison realm. He threw a random skull into the darkness.
Boink!
Am I going to die of hunger or boredom first? Satoru wondered.
A hole opened up in the sky.
A bright light covered the expanse of the darkness. Satoru covered his face with his hand.
He suddenly felt tired and faint. He closed his eyes and dropped to the floor.
Satoru woke up in white sheets. He could feel the soft duvet covering his body. Tearing off the blanket, he dove out of bed. He looked around. This didn’t look like the room in his apartment or any of the rooms in Jujutsu Tech.
He was in a modern looking loft penthouse. 9 feet windows lined the left wall while a pristine white kitchen laid opposite. A giant TV screen sat on the back wall with a fitting large couch. In the next room, a sleek-looking black desk was equipped with a white PC setup.
He opened the curtains of the penthouse with a remote after trying all of the buttons. He was presented with a view of Shibuya. The calm shine of the sun and the noise of feet scraping the concrete of Shibuya crossing.
A ring buzzed from an unknown caller on what appeared to be his phone.
“Moshi moshi?” Satoru answered.
“Gojo-san, did you forget there is an important meeting?” Nanami’s familiar voice chastised.
“About a curse?”
“What curse? What are you talking about? The meeting with Marketing? Don’t tell me you partied too hard last night again?”
“Uh, yeah.” He said quickly. “What time is it again?”
“11 a.m. You have less than half an hour to get here.”
He quickly got dressed with clothes that were available in the wardrobe - black shirt with a deep crimson red pants. He covered his eyes with his favorite black blindfold.
He went to the elevator and pressed the ground floor button. The steel doors opened to the a lavish foley.
“Good morning. Gojo-sama!” The door attendant greeted, opening the door. She bowed and looked up in surprise.
“Are you okay? You’re wearing a blindfold, Gojo-sama.”
“Uh - Thank you, door attendant.” Satoru rambled. He must look like a complete jackass.
“It’s Hanabi, sir.”
“Sorry.” He quickly took off his blindfold, uncovering his blue orbs. His white hair flopped to the side.
“Ijichi-san is waiting for you in the limousine.”
Ijichi opened the door of a black car with white gloves.
He felt déjà vu as he stepped into the car.
-After the meeting-
He googled himself on the computer. A huge list of articles appeared on the screen.
Gojo heir becomes multi- millionaire after tragic loss of both parents
Gojo Satoru: youngest CEO to take over Gojo Enterprise at the age of 17
Playboy Gojo Satoru spotted with new fling
As Satoru read the tabloids, Gojo understood that he was an egotistical rich playboy in this world. Born with a golden spoon between his lips, the white-haired man was left parent-less after both of his parents died in a freak plane-crash. He graduated from Tokyo Uni with a business degree in less than a year – courtesy of a large sum of money donated to creating a new wing in the university. He was also a massive playboy and went on expensive international trips.
After testing if this was a curse’s domain and punching himself in the face repeatedly, there were two things Satoru learnt from testing:
- Satoru still had his powers of Six eyes, Limitless and Infinity.
- Curses didn’t exist.
He tried using Infinity while in shower. Water droplets bounced off harmlessly off the shield of Infinity and his toned body. He turned off Infinity to feel the presence of hot water. After minutes in the shower, he walked out and tried to pick out clothes from the massive wardrobe. He noted to get a new set of clothes. This world’s Gojo Satoru dressed way too fancy.
He also tried teleporting again. His feet touching Tokyo Tower as he gazed into the night sky. He exhales a visible breath of air.
This version of the world had no curses or curse users. All of his friends that existed in his world were also in this world. Even Geto Suguru, his former best friend, was still alive in this reality.
In this world, Nanami Kento was his personal assistant and unofficial best friend. With stoic no-nonsense attitude, he was the first person to stand up to him in high school. Now, he glued to Gojo’s side like a true friend.
Yaga Masamichi was the VP of Gojo realty and unofficial head of the said enterprise. He was a true tsundere – stern attitude but had a heart of gold. He has an odd hobby of sewing dolls in his spare time.
Ieiri Shoko was the chain-smoking department head for Gojo Medical. The branch does everything from medical equipment to expensive prescription drugs.
Geto Suguru was a successful high fashion model and current boyfriend of this world’s Gojo Satoru.
Next day, Satoru invested in purchasing a deep-tinted pair of glasses. Even if he couldn’t use his favorite black blindfold in public, he could still wear them at home.
The problem was Satoru had to relearn all of the skills that this world’s Gojo Satoru knew. Even with his overpowered skills, Satoru would need at least two years to understand the innate logistics of running a business empire. He couldn’t hire a tutor in fear of people finding out he wasn’t the real Gojo Satoru from this world.
Satoru started to frequent a local café, Café Crepe. He liked it since it was quiet and had a good selection of sweets. Soon, he was treated as a regular and always got the hot chocolate and matcha parfait. He always spent a few hours of working on a newly purchased laptop while sipping on a sugary drink.
A jingle from doorbell.
The smell of peaches wafted in the air. Spiky cherry blossom colored hair popped into existence.
“Konnichiwa, Itadori Yuuji desu~” The familiar voice squeaked. “Um, I’m here for the part-time barista position?”
Teenager bowed while handing out his card.
Time stood still as Satoru gazed at this world’s Yuuji. This Itadori Yuuji still had the same air of cheery air and smell of spring and peaches. No Sukuna ever harmed this version. He didn’t get his heart ripped out – never got a death sentence.
Satoru eavesdropped as the manager interviewed Yuuji about his past experience and other stuff. Eventually, Itadori-kun left.
“Are you going to hire him?” Satoru’s shades dipped as he questioned the brown-haired manager.
The manager sighed.
“He has no experience and he is too young to be working. I suspect he goes to high school too.”
So, this world still has a bias towards high school students who are working part-time too.
“Hire him.” Satoru ordered without thinking. “Or I can crush your business. No problem.”
The manager nervously nodded. She knew who Gojo Satoru was. She didn’t want to antagonize someone so important.
And so, for the past few weeks in-between work and studying, Satoru would go to the café - just to see Itadori. He smiled contently as he watched Itadori-kun get gradually better at pouring his drinks.
The pink spiky haired teenager personally set down his cup of coffee.
One cube of sugar
Two cubes of sugar
Three cubes...
Satoru stirred his coffee.
“Ya 'know. Too much sugar is bad for you.”
“Oh really~?” Satoru chimed. “And who is this cute server?”
Itadori blushed a deep red.
“My name is Itadori Yuuji at your service!” Itadori puffed out his chest and stuck out his thumb to his chest.
And that’s how he met this world’s Yuuji and started to fall in love.
