Summer of 2015, that's when I met him.
My family had just moved to Hurricane Utah, cause dad had this job offer he couldn't refuse.
Headphones in my ears blasting my favorite song, I stare at our new house for quite sometime, was this really the start of my new life? New schools, new friends. Away from NYC, away from all my problems, those fake losers from school and Ben, god I hate him.
Some part of me wants to go scream at my dad and demand to go back, but alot of me wants to use this as a you know, to start fresh and just leave all my problems back in NYC?
I sigh, and turn off the music. Taking out my earphones at the same time, phone and earphones in my hand I enter our new house. Wow, it's so big!
I look around amazed, woah. Then I immediately rush upstairs to find a room before one of my siblings take the best rooms. Doing so, I hear my siblings run up the stairs too. Aries and Priyanka, my bestfriends.
Eventually I find the biggest room not including the master, which is WAY bigger than the room I wanted.
"Daaad, I want this room!!"
"Do what you want!" He says from afar.
Eventually Aries catches up to me and his face turns into a frown.
"What?! I get the smallest room?!!"
"Suck it up, baby brooooooo...." You say in a mocking manner, smirking at him.
Soon Priyanka catches up to us, "What's up? What'd I miss?"
"Aries got the smallest roo-" you get cut off.
Priyanka suddenly bursts out laughing and mock Aries in a sarcastic way, Aries OBVIOUSLY trying so hard not to laugh with her. But he eventually fails and starts to laugh as well, I love them.
"Not cool Aries, how could you fall for Priyanka's laughing?!" You say in a sarcastic way, trying hard not to laugh as well.
Eventually I give in and start to laugh with them too, making weird noises and weird poses to make them laugh harder, unfortunately we all get cut off by our mom telling us that our stuff was downstairs and we needed to fix our rooms. We all nod and go to pick up boxes and bring them to our rooms, I could still tell Aries was bothered cause he got the smallest room. Sucks for him.

I was laying on my bed, scrolling thru Musical.ly cause I have nothing better to do lol. The sun is setting, and pretty much hungry because I had to move boxes all afternoon. I heard there was this pizzaria downtown, maybe I should tell dad about it so we could eat dinner there?
Suddenly a notification pops up, a notification from tinder. I sit up my bed and open the app to see the message, hopes high. All my hopes dissapeared when it was another message asking to hookup. I scoff and turn off my phone. No. I didn't want that, I wanted love. Someone to go to when I'm in my darkest days, someone to call mine. God, everyone's so hyped up about hooking up these days. I throw my phone to the side of my bed and collapse.
"When will I meet the one for me?" I sigh, staring at my ceiling.
God, nevermind that. Maybe I'll meet him in Utah?
After a few minutes of daydreaming, my stomach grumbles. Yep, maybe I should really go tell my dad about that pizzaria.
I slowly get up from my bed and walk downstairs to the living room, where dad was resting at.
"Hey dad? Are you hungry?"
"Actually, I am. I was just waiting for you guys and your mom, are you?"
"Yeah daaad, OH! Do you know there's this pizzaria downtown? Maybe we could eat there? I want pizza so bad." You say with a pout in your face.
"Hey, if your talking about Freddy's Fazbear, you know I work there right?" He says casually, eyes on the show he was watching.
Whaaat???
"Really? As what?" You say confused
"I'm the new manager there, they pay well." He says with a chuckle.
"Maybe we could eat dinner there dad??"
"Why not? Go call your siblings, were going now" Dad then grabs his car keys and walks out the front door.
Victory!! you walk out of the living room and go to each of their doors and tell them about dinner, soon they all come out and all of you walk outside.

The bright welcoming sign shines out outside of the restaurant, an image of a bear with a hat holding a welcome sign. Aries and Priyanka looks excited to see the animatronics inside, I was too. But I was mostly excited to see and eat the pizza... The thought of that makes me SOoooo hungry.
I rush inside the restaurant and the smell of sweat and pizza fills my nostrils, little kids running around the restaurant. I chuckle and go to sit down at a table.
"Hey dad, can I go explore?" I ask.
"Do whatever you want kiddo!" Dad replies.
Cool! I go to see where the animatronics are at, so many kids.
I observe the animatronics singing and dancing, a bear, a bunny and a chicken? So cool!! I've never seen anything like this before. Oh man, the bunnie's got to be my favorite one.
Standing amazed watching the animatronics sing and dance, someone goes up to me and pats me on my shoulder.
I jump and turn around, to see a guy maybe around my age? Brown hair, blue eyes and abit tall. Maybe around 5'6?
"Hey relax, sorry for scaring you. I'm not a creep I promise!" His hands sticking out.
My face softens and I smile. "No, it's okay. What's your name?"
"Michael, Michael Afton. You seem new, whats yours?"
"Oh, I'm Y/N Everwoods. We just moved from New York."
"Damn, that's so far away, well then welcome to Utah my dear friend." He does a curtsy in a funny way, which makes me giggle.
"My, what a pleasure." You curstied infront of him, trying to keep an accent. You hear him laugh and you laugh aswell.
"Oh man, I've never laughed like that in a while. Your funny Everwoods." You chuckle at him.
"Hey so what school do you go to?" You change the subject and he seems to catch on.
"Oh, I go to East Lincoln, how about you?" Your eyes widen at his response and you excitedly said that you were going at the same school.
"Hey! You should come by our house sometime, maybe we could talk more?"
"Yeah! Sure, what's your number?" He says back.
You both exchange numbers and said your goodbyes to eachother before separating.
After eating dinner with your family, you all go home.
Laying on my bed, thinking about Michael.
"New friend, I love it." You excitedly talk to yourself, this is going well.
