Chapter Text
- You couldn’t help but question if you had done something wrong in a previous life or something.
- Why?
- Because nothing else could explain why you found yourself in this situation.
- You found yourself in the middle of a battle.
- Between, what looked like humans and…elves?
- Did I eat something rancid? What the hell is this?
- But you weren’t sleeping, you were awake.
- You had already pinched yourself to check.
- And, more importantly, the way it hurt to breathe as you ran brought that fact into clarity.
- You had been shot at by humans and Elves alike.
- One side thinking you were faking being a human because of your abnormal clothing.
- The other side instantly picked up the fact you were a human.
- Now, both sides were after you.
- But you ran and ran.
- Until, of course, you tripped.
- Damn it all!
- “What this?”
- You looked up.
- It was one of those elves.
- He smirked at you.
- Why must he be hot?
- That thought soon left your head when you noticed the sword in his hand, tainted with blood.
- You had sat up, but you couldn’t move beyond that.
- The fear stopped you.
- The elf in front of you bent forward.
- “What a pretty thing you are.”
- His eyes glistened with laughter before it dulled.
- “Too bad, I have to get rid of you.”
- “No-”
- And then everything turned black, but you can hear a faint.
-
“I’m sorry.”
- How was this possible?
- The last thing you remembered was that elf bastard killing you.
- And yet, here you were.
- In what looked like a meadow.
- Crunch
- You turned around.
- Oh, you got to be kidding me.
- It was the same bastard who had killed you.
- And from the way he looked at you, he was surprised to see your face too.
- “How is this possible?”
- “You’re the last person I want to see too. You fucking elf.”
- He smirked, “I’m of the fae. The elves you speak of do not live in this region.”
- He tilted his head, his long hair swaying with his movement.
- It’s not fair! Why is this jerk hot!
- “How curious, you had died not even two years ago.”
- “Two years!”
- You were flabbergasted.
- It wasn’t even a minute for you.
- “Will you try again?”
- “I have no choice. Our race determined that we would meet on the battlefield.”
- “I don’t know what you mean by that. You’re the only one swinging a sword.”
- He laughed, looking as amused as ever.
- “What is your name, intriguing one?”
- “Why should I tell you? Will you let me go?”
- “Humor me, little one.”
- “Now, you sound like my grandfather.”
- “Hardly, I am young for my age.”
- You didn’t disagree with that.
- He was certainly no grandpa.
- “Well?”
- “It’s YN.”
- The Fae in front of you smirked, “No last name?”
- “I know better than to give a Fae my full name. I read the books and watched the shows.”
- “While I do not understand what you mean by that, I shall give you mine. It’s Lilia.”
- “How do I know you are not lying?”
- Lilia laughed, “You don’t.”
- You didn’t give me your last name either.
- “For amusing me, I will let you go little one.”
- Lilia turned away and left.
- You didn’t hesitate.
- You turned and ran in the opposite direction.
- Only to meet your demise by a fellow human.
- Are you fucking kidding me?
- Was the first thought in your mind when you next came to.
- You were fed up with this.
- This was the second time you had died already.
- And while you were happy to be alive, you wish you were back home already.
- You were pretty sure someone was laughing at you.
- But, looking around.
- You didn’t see that el- well, fae, Lilia at least.
- First thing first, you had to find someone to help you.
- And keep yourself from seeing that fae again.
- Lucky for you, you had an easier time.
- This time around at least.
- For the next five years, you lived in a small village.
- Where an elderly couple took you in.
- You had learned that you now lived in the world of Twisted Wonderland.
- Where all kinds of people lived.
- Basically, you were living in Disney World.
- If the history books meant anything, that is.
- And when you first came here, you were in the middle of the Fae and Human War.
- A war that was still going on.
- And a war, you hoped to never be part of again.
- But peace didn’t last.
- One year later, your little village was burned by raiders.
- You had helped the elderly couple and some of the villagers escape with what magic you had learned.
- It wasn’t much, but you were able to distract them.
- Sadly, for you, it had only led to your death.
- But you felt a certain satisfaction this time from it.
- You had helped your loved ones, and you lived longer.
- And the raiders who attacked your village soon met their end at the hands of the fae army.
- With a certain general in their midst.
- He had been surprised to see you and rushed to your side.
- Both of you knew it was too late.
- You smirked at Lilia.
- “We have got to stop meeting like this.”
- “I agree, little one.”
- Everything went black.
- The next time you came to be.
- You had a small child with horns in front of you.
- The child was hesitant and looked ready to roast you, figuratively or literally; only time will tell.
- But you found him adorable.
- “Who are you?” The child yelled, fire shooting out of his mouth.
- “My name is YN. What is yours?”
- “I’ll never tell you mine. You, humans, are horrible.”
- Must be a fae then.
- “Well, then why don’t I give you a name? How about Ryu?”
- “Why would I ever agree to that?!”
- “Unless you want me to call you Horn Boy?”
- The child blushed green, “Ryu is fine!”
- Haha I thought so.
- “So, why are you here alone?”
- “I got lost. I’m waiting for my guardian to find me.”
- You sat on the floor and patted the seat next to you.
- Ryu hesitated before doing so.
- “Why don’t we play a game?”
- “Why would I want to play with a human?”
- You took a nearby twig and drew lines on the floor, “Because I don’t want to leave a child alone in the forest, and I doubt you want to see my beautiful face the entire time.”
- You cheekily smiled at him.
- Ryu huffed and looked away.
- But you could tell he was listening to you as you explained the game to him, and when his turn came, he took the twig from you.
- One thing you kept doing in this world over and over again, was running.
- Your little play date had been ambushed by the fae.
- And it turned out to be a group that wanted to take Ryu from you.
- And it would all have been good, but this fraction wanted to kill the child and blame the humans.
- And you could not let that stand.
- So, after Ryu had used what magic he could to create a wall of fire, you had snatched him up and ran in the opposite direction.
- Now would be the perfect time for that one to appear.
- “My~ My~ What do we have here? His highness and YN?”
- Ha! Perfect!
- “I could kiss you right now.”
- “Nothing is stopping you.”
- You saw the smirk, which only widened when he saw your flustered face.
- “Not now! Now, go deal with those hoodlums behind us!”
- Lilia straightened up, his eyes becoming slits.
- “Hoodlums?”
- “Yeah, there’s a few of your kind trying to kill this child. Maybe you should use those fancy sword skills on them.”
- “I believe you are right.”
- You watched as he stealthily disappears.
- What was that saying again?
- I hate to see you leave but do I love to see you walk-gah! Shut up! Shut up!
- “Are you and the general dating?”
- “We are not!”
