¨Hiya!¨ The lunar moth jumped fluttering slightly in the area, when he turned he expected to see someone twice as large as him, he was not expecting to see the small thornling boy behind him however. ¨What the hell! You didn't have to scare me!¨ For some reason he laughed at him, ¨Geez Scott, I didn't know you got so jump¨ ¨What?¨ ¨Well you never used to be this jumpy¨ the mothling just looked at him with a doubt full look ¨Who are you?¨
Now it was Jimmy's turn to stare at Scott in disbelief, letting out an awkward laugh ḧe quietly replied ¨That's not the funny Scott, i've missed you for a while¨ Scott decided this wasn't the hill to stand on, maybe they had met before and Scott just didn't remember, the person seemed genuinely hurt so he probably really did just forget. ¨Sorry, uh-¨ maybe he would stay away from using names. ¨I didn't mean to make you upset, it was just a tiny joke¨ ¨Yeah well-¨ The thornling laughed at that ¨You still as rude as ever, i guess some things never change¨ ¨Yeah and your still- blond as ever¨ He gave him a weird look, to be fair Scott would have gave himself a weird look as well.
¨Oh uh- here¨ The thornling gave him a poppy flower crown and smiled, Scott awkwardly smiled and took it ¨Er- thanks¨ he didn't know thornlings liked flowers, maybe it was something about their relationship he had forgotten again. What was their relationship? Where did he know this person from? Quickly trying to save himself from this awkward interaction he quickly tried to leave ¨Sorry I must go now, Pleasure meeting you- once again¨ before the sun haired boy could reply he quickly fluttered off leaving a confused Jimmy behind.
He found out the thornlings name was Jimmy, and he was quite the- character to say the least. Lizzie had found out his name from Joel and she seemed to have had a similar interaction with Joel, except he gave her a matching butterfly pin and they actually had a normal, and not awkward, conversation. Why did he get stuck with the Awkward conversation, that was not fair in the slightest. Apparently he was not the only one with memory lost because his raccoon friend had no idea who Jimmy or Joel was. They seemed to be the only ones, Fwhip and Gem seemed to have an unspoken bond, Kathreine and Shubble were already really close. Sausage and Jimmy were- weirdly close, so why did he give him a flower crown?
Scott had just got back from caving, he glided down to his bridge and right in front of him, a chest, great. Inside of it was a Bucket with a pufferfish, the tag attached read ¨Pufferish of peace” who could be so foolish to misspell- The thornling boy. The moth sighed and threw the bucket in the trash can that Lizze had left a few days earlier. When would he leave him alone, Scott huffed to himself, slightly annoyed.
Jimmy finally reached the top of the mountain Scott lived on, why did he live so high up? Why had Scott acted so weird the few times they interacted? They had been through so much between 3rd life and being rulers, shouldn't they have gotten over that by now? Jimmy sighed, he was about to knock on the wall next to the entrance due to the fact Scott didn't have a door. However, just before something told him to check the trash can, why? He wasn't Lizzie, they weren't even related anymore. Still, he just had this feeling, so he opened the trash can and saw something he couldn't believe.
Not only was the flower crown he gave them on their first meeting there, it was also the pufferish of peace, he had gone fishing for hours for that. It had meant so much to him and Scott, and the poppies? It was their symbol, it was their escape to a world of peace and he just- threw it away. Did Scott not care anymore? They went through so much and he just- throws away everything that was important to them? Jimmy was upset, yes, but he was also angry, he was trying to tell Scott he remembered their pain, what they had gone through. Just like the two had done in empires yet, it meant nothing to the moth. He angrily knocked on the wood, both items secured in his hand.
The moth jumped down between the holes in his floor, quickly reaching the entrance opening and pushing the lantern out of his face, to see who was at- oh. Him. Scott held in his sigh and went to greet him but just as he opened his mouth ¨WHAT THE HELL SCOTT?´ The moth was taken aback, this was different from all their past interactions ¨``Come again?” ¨You threw away- everything?!¨ oh- he found those wait- ¨Did you go through my trash?¨ ¨That's not important! I was trying to show you how much I cared! I care about everything we've been through! Do you not remember the pain we suffered together? I was showing you I Remembered and you don't care!¨ How dare he yell at him? He was the one showing up to his home dragging him into a memory that didn't exist, tired of pretending Scott yelled back ¨I don't even know who you are! We've never met until two days ago! I played along because I didn't want to talk to you, your quiet annoying, average thornling.¨ Jimmy stopped, he didn't remember? But he remembered back in empires, but- he didn't remember now?
¨I've never been through anything with you!¨ ¨What about 3rd life? Or your literal demon brother?!¨ ¨What??! I'm a moth! I'm not even close to a demon nor do I have any siblings! Are you insinuating that I'm evil?! GO to hell thornling!¨ Jimmy couldn't even get a word in before the moth walked back in his house and before he could call out after him, a trapped down was quickly behind the lanter so Jimmy couldn't speak. He stood there for a moment defeated. Everything they had was gone. It was broken. A sob filled Jimmy's throat but he refused to let it out here, he quickly ran off into the cave system behind Sco- the moth's home. Huddled in a corner of the cave, obscured from reality. The Flower crown clutched in his hand before he let out a sob. They were broken, the rose had withered.
