Chapter 1: What a rainy day, better stay indoors or you'll catch a cold

Chapter Text

Living in a small town, Andy can say a simple life is all he needed. He moved on from the past, gets to make alcohol everyday, and is acquainted with everyone… except for the girl managing the manor.

She doesn’t seem the type to drink, Andy never sees her on his bar. He’s not into farm life either so he doesn’t set foot on her property. Even so, Andy frequently catches her going around town. The scowl on her face seems permanent. She always has her brows furrowed while scanning the list of work needed to be done.

At some point, Andy thought of telling her to take it easy and rest. But he guesses it's not his business to poke. There are other things in need of his attention— one of them is the beverage he's been trying to perfect for weeks. He needs someone to taste test it. Luckily, the situation led him to hitting two birds in one stone.

Heavy downpour can be seen on the windowpane of Andy's bar. The place is empty, which is good. It balances the bustling and loud image it has at night. As Andy stares outside, he notices a certain girl taking shelter under a pine tree near the area.

He could leave her there to freeze to death. Words say she’s too stubborn to ask for help even in the most difficult tasks. It’s all part of her independent woman façade, Andy guesses.

Being the gentleman he is, he picks up an umbrella and stalks towards her. A sharp glare greeted him upon approach.

“You know, you’ll catch a cold the longer you stay here.” He says, turning his head to look around. It’s hard to see clearly with all the rain.

No response. The girl just shifted her gaze elsewhere. Andy often gets the impression of a thug because of his stubble. Nevertheless he tries again. “Tell you what, I’ll let you stay at my bar until it stops but in exchange, you’ll have to do me a favour. Deal?”

There’s a long pause before the girl mumbled, “Deal.” Flushed cheeks accompany her usual scowl. It made Andy’s heart beat abnormally fast. It’s weird.

A warm smile stretched across his face as he led her inside. “The name’s Andy.” he uttered, sharing the rather small umbrella. His clothes are getting wet but he doesn’t mind. Nothing will beat the fuzzy warmth he feels within.

"Pleased to meet you,”
