It was already 11 PM when Kim Dokja kept shifting on his bed feeling uncomfortable as ever. He was frowning the whole time and couldn't sleep.
He was alone in the bed — to be precise, he was alone in the guest room. He wasn't in the room they husband shares every night. He chose to sleep to the extra room because he fought with his husband.
Aside from the fight that caused them to almost break off their engagement 6 years ago, this was the longest quarrel unfolded between them. Kim Dokja can't help but feel anxious as he curled in the center of the bed with the comfortable blanket over him.
Their quarrel was caused by a simple advertisement photoshoot between a female streamer and his husband. Yesterday, Kim Dokja tagged along with Yoo Joonghyuk to look after him since his husband's manager was currently on a honeymoon break. Fortunately, It was Saturday and Minosoft was closed that day.
On the venue, Kim Dokja heard Yoo Joonghyuk stubbornly refused to do couple poses with the female streamer, but the director didn't budged to his requests. This caused Kim Dokja displeasure towards the director and the whole set.
But he can't just take away Yoo Joonghyuk because of this. So, he tried to calm down and waited patiently for the shoot to finish.
Everything was fine until the female streamer arrived, looking so pretty causing Kim Dokja to feel insecure. Not to mention, the female streamer was also interested to Yoo Joonghyuk despite being aware to the fact that the man was already married for 7 years.
Throughout the photoshoot, the female streamer didnt held back on touching Yoo Joonghyuk and even called names on him. She even tried to ask for his number and even threatened Yoo Joonghyuk that she would cry in front of the camera.
Yoo Joonghyuk begrudgingly complied and let her do what she wants. He would slightly push her away but the gal would come back, and will disgustingly press her bust against his arm causing Yoo Joonghyuk to feel disgust but tried to maintain a caln posture.
After the shoot, Kim Dokja chose the photos with no contact between the two of the streamers and left, not even bothering to wait for Yoo Joonghyuk who was in a trouble of how to coax his little husband.
They got home, a fight broke out causing them to ignore each other and sleep in separate rooms....
And now, Kim Dokja terribly feel so awful. He now dearly missed the arms of his man but because he can't even watch his words yesterday, he hurt Yoo Joonghyuk's feelings and this might even cause a divorce...
"...No I shouldn't think like this... if this gets worse then our relationship will really...." Kim Dokja murmured under the sheets and quietly sobbed.
He clearly know how Yoo Joonghyuk loved him even when they were still in highschool until now, but his overthinking and insecurity got the best of him causing to impulsively say things that made the situation worse.
If he kept silent yesterday and let Yoo Joonghyuk coax him with his cooking, cuddles and such... then he wouldn't end up in this kind of situation.
Yoo Joonghyuk on the other hand, deeply regretted his actions on the set ever since yesterday night. He still can't sleep even though its already 1 am and he's sure he'll have dark eyebags tomorrow.
If he acted more cold towards her and let her cry like some dumb spoiled kid on the set, then his little husband won't be upset and feel more insecure the whole time.
He knew how insecure Kim Dokja was. Thank God he managed to make him feel pretty and confident throughout the years after their first year in highschool, but he never expected it was more fragile than a glass.
The confidence of his little husband Yoo Joonghyuk built up for him shattered in a few seconds causing Yoo Joonghyuk to make sure he'll make him more feel pretty and loved in the future. This way, maybe this kind of incident wont happen once again.
Of course he was hurt after what Kim Dokja told him at their fight yesterday. He even suddenly felt the urge to punch him square in the face, but fortunately he didnt (thanks for Uriel treating his anger issues). This caused him to be upset with him and decided to ignore him for almost 2 days. Now, he's a bit better and forgive his little husband in his heart.
Suddenly, the door creaked open and revealed the sobbing Dokja on the doorway. The latter was wrapped on a soft blanket and his sobs was muffled against it.
The sight in front of him cause dhis heart to ache. Yoo Joonghyuk sat up on the edge of their bed and watched Kim Dokja to try to speak between his uncontrollable sobs.
"Hyuk-ah... I'm sorry..."
His voice was weak and hoarse. Yoo Joonghyuk immediately opened his arms inviting the latter in to comfort him.
Kim Dokja immediately dived into his arms and cried more. His blanket was now ignored on the floor lying pitifully. His arms wrapped on Yoo Joonghyuk's waist and his face pressed against his chest.
"Im sorry... Im sorry... I ... I was impulsive... Hyuk-ah, I was wrong... I'll never do it again... Im sorry..."
Hearing this caused Yoo Joonghyuk to hug him more and place his head on the crook of his husban's neck. He smelled the faint scent of the sweet scent of their shared bodywash.
"Its okay. Its okay. Im so sorry too, I know you get insecure too easily but I still let her do things her way. I should've stayed away from her from the start." Yoo Joonghyuk softly spoke as he drew circles across Kim Dokja's bare back. He just noticed how his hand found themselves under the man's shirt where it's supposed to be. "Or I should've left before the photoshoot started because how stubborn the director was. Im really sorry."
At the photoshoot, Yoo Joonghyuk already noticed something is definitely wrong... But he still brushed off the thought in the back of his mind and continued the activity.
The pair of husbands kept muttering apologies to each other, not noticing how they ended up lying on their shared bed under the comfortable blanket sorrounding them. It took 30 minutes before they both calmed down and no one even thought of pulling the hug.
"I love you, Dokja." Yoo Joonghyuk softly said, his head resting on the top of his husband's head. He slightly felt other nod weakly against his chest, hands never bothered to let go of his now crumpled shirt.
"I know... I love you more." He heard him say, "Ill do my best to be not insecure tomorrow and in the future... and I'll be cautious of my words too..."
"Okay."
"Okay..."
They slept peacefully that night.
