Kaoru woke up to sounds in the kitchen and his husband missing from the beside him in the bed. He pulled the blanket off of himself and trudged to the kitchen and there his husband was in all his glory. “Good morning precious” Kaoru mumbled a response and sat down at the table. “I got a email this morning” kaoru sat up a bit straighter “what was it about?” “It was an invitation to a high school reunion” as joe knew Kaoru wasn’t the most popular boy back when they were in high school. He was always picked on for looking so feminine. The girls loved him though, they loved braiding his hair and putting cute stuff on his face and hair. “Do you want to go?” Kojiro asked in a loving voice. “You don’t have to” he included. Kaoru took a second to think ‘it would be nice to catch up with my old friends’ after a bit of thinking kaoru reluctantly agreed to mumbled “I suppose I could go”
-time skip cause I’m to lazy to write the whole fucking day-
Kaoru and Kojiro were sitting in their car driving to the location the reunion would be held. Kaoru was fidgeting anxiously in the passenger seat Kojiro must have noticed because he placed his hand on kaorus thigh and gave a small squeeze. They were outside of their old high school and Kaoru was getting more and more anxious by the second Kojiro looked at him concerned “you know we can go back home if you don’t want to be here” he said in a loving low voice “no, I’ll be fine” Kaoru muttered “if you say so princess”. They walk into the building it feels nostalgic walking though the halls of their high school again. “Well the email said the reunion would be held in the gym” they make their way over to the gym hearing old music playing and people talking “are you sure you wanna stay? I don’t want you to do something you don’t want to” Kojiro said in a worried voice “I promise I’ll tell you if something is wrong Koji” Kojiro smiled and kissed his forehead. With that they entered the room there was a table with drinks and food and a clear space made in the middle for people to catch up and talk with their high school friends.
Kaoru and Kojiro are talking at the snack table when someone approaches them “hey pinky how you doing” kaoru turns around only to see his high school bully “I’m fine” he said in a firm voice “I see you got rid of you’re piercings” he said trying to tease “yes they would be rather unprofessional for my job” he said in a monotone voice “OH YEAH” he said loudly “your famous now right?” He didn’t even let Kaoru answer before he continued “never expected someone like you to end up so successful” he laughed Kaoru was shifting in place looking extremely uncomfortable Kojiro took this as a sign to interject “ hey man that’s a little rude to say to someone don’t you think?” “Oh hey I didn’t even see you there, cant believe you guys are still hanging around each other” “ well yeah people tend to hang around the person they're married to” Kaoru said getting back into the conversation. The man who was just teasing blinked at him a few times before responding with a small “congratulations” and an excuse to leave.
Kaoru turns around right when he can’t see his old bully anymore and grabs a handful of ice out of the ice bucket and shoved it in his mouth. “Woah there Kaoru” Kojiro says, surprised at his spouses sudden movement “sorry” Kaoru says with a mouthful of ice. “Are you sure your ok?” Kojiro says concerned as to why his lover just shoved a handful of ice in his mouth. “I’m completely fine” Kaoru said but it sounded more like “ I’m fomfetly bine” “if you say so” Kojiro said a questioning tone evident in his voice he made a mental note to keep kaoru in his eye range at all times just to make sure he’s not lying. They were talking for a bit after and suddenly a girl came running at kaoru full speed. “OMG HEY RU RU” the girl said before almost knocking over Kaoru with a hug. “Hey?” Kaoru said confused as to who this woman was. She pulled back from the hug and he immediately recognized her. He smiled and gave a more proper hello “Hey Amano , nice to see you again” he said gleefully “nice to see you to” she was grinning widely “I see you haven’t changed a lot you still have that pretty hair and face” she said pointing at him “you haven’t changed much either you still have the same attitude” Kaoru said a small smile making its way to his face.
It has been an hour and Kaoru seems to be having fun with amano he is smiling an laughing which makes Kojiro happy. there is a clinking noise Kojiro looks up to where the sound was coming from only to see Kaoru's old bully on the stage of the auditorium "id like to make a speech" he said "but before that id like to invite my dear friend Kaoru up on here with me" Kaoru who had his back to the stage turned around confused 'why would he want me up there?' He thought " come on up Kaoru" he said in a voice that the pink haired man was very familiar with 'oh so he's going to embarrass me how wonderful' Kaoru thought as he walked up to the stage. once he was on the stage he knew he had done the wrong thing because immediately a tub of water was poured on hm from above he expected something like this to happen what he didn't expect was the laughter from the crowd. He looked off the stage only to find almost everyone laughing at him his anxiety spiked and his breath picked up. Kojiro ran on stage the second the water fell on Kaoru's head he was surprised that the crowd of grown adults laughed at his husbands misfortune. When he got to Kaoru he noticed the panicked expression on his face and knew he was about to spiral into a panic attack. Not wanting his husband to suffer anymore embarrassment he led him off stage and into the hallway were Kaoru broke down.
"i knew i should have stayed home something like this was bound to happen" Kaou said tears filling his eyes "now i'm soaked and i don't have a change of clothes" he said , a few tears slipping from his eyes "hey, don't cry we can go to the bathroom and get you cleaned up i have some of your spare clothes in the car" Kaoru nodded and they walked to the bathroom Kaoru sat on the counter while Kojiro get a roll of paper towels and started to dry Kaoru off. "You know we can still have fun, i'm sure they wont make fun of you and if they do we can kick their asses" Kojiro said Kaoru laughed "do you really think they wont make fun of me?" "i do" Kojiro says in a reassuring voice Kaoru smiled and nodded "well then lets go back in there and have some fun" after Kaoru was mostly dry they went back too the auditorium. before they entered Kaoru stopped "are you sure they wont make fun of me?"he said in a worried voice "im very sure Kaoru" he kissed Kaoru's forehead as an act of comfort "ok then" with that they walked back into the room. The minute they entered all eyes were on them it made Kaoru anxious then what happened next was the opposite of what he thought would happen half the guest rushed over to him asking if he was alright or apologizing for laughing some doing both.
after Kaoru convinced them he was fine the party continued. They had lots of fun, they played old games, and ate lots of food after the party was over and everyone said goodbye . They were in the car driving home when Kaoru suddenly said "im craving Italian food" Kojiro looked over at his lover and said "you know i'm a chef that owns an italian restaurant right?" "yes i do speaking of you're restaurant lets go there" Kaoru said "ok princess" Kojiro said sighing as he changed the route. Once they arrived at the restaurant Kojiro went in the kitchen to prepare the food while Kaoru sat in his usual seat. "you know this place is like a second home" Kaoru said after about 5 minutes of silence. Kojiro pops his head out of the kitchen " i'm glad you think of it that way" he said in a soft voice reserved for only his lover he brings out two plates of carbonara "i made your favorite" Kaoru's eyes sparkled as his husband sat the food down on the table. "i lobe wew so muf" Kaoru said with a mouthful of food Kojiro laughed "glad you like it" he started easting his own food. after they were finished with their meals kojiro started to clean up "i'm glad you went to the reunion today i had fun" "me too" Kaoru said sleepily after Kojiro got finished with the dishes he came back into the room to find Kaoru fast asleep. Kojiro ended up carrying him to the car and to the apartment. he laid him in their bed and then got in himself, he felt his lover cuddle up to him and he smiled "good night i love you" he heard Kaoru say before he drifted off to sleep "love you too" he said before letting himself drift off to sleep.
