"...why is it so dark? Where am I? What just happened...? I was in class now it's just so dark... was I kidnapped?!? Am I in a sack? I've gotta get out of here!"
As I try to push out of the sack I hear cracking noises. I find it strange how a sack could crack but I keep going anyways. Soon there's a crack and light shines in
"I'm almost out I can see the light! Wait the light? If I've been kidnapped I doubt there would be any light... that doesn't matter I have to get out!"
Soon enough I break through whatever is keeping me captive and... glorious sweet light shines through. For some reason it feels like it's been ages since I've seen the sun. Not sure why that is I was looking out the window a few... seconds ago I think?
"No time to dwell let's get outta here!"
Soon I crawl out of whatever I was in and look back, and it was... a shell?!? Huh?
"I came out of a shell!?! What the #%$*! But if I came out of the shell then what am i...?"
Slowly I raise my... WING? to my face. MY WING?!? I begin mentally panicking, "what the hell am i?!! Some kind of oversized bird!? Where even am i?!"
I drag my arms wings* across my face in an attempt to calm myself down. I attempt to process what may have happened.
"So a moment ago I was doing... something, just your average normal day. then suddenly I'm here! Some kind of bird creature as well! My feathers are bright orange and it didn't actually feel that bad when they ran across my face... actually they were kind of soft! But that's really not the point right now."
Burying my face into my new wings I continue to try and think about what could have happened but I come up dry. I was in class and the next second I was here. I dont know how I got here but I'm here now so it doesn't really matter I guess...
"Well if I don't know how I got here not much point in continuing to try to remember if it refuses to come to me I suppose. But i should at least try to find out where I am I guess!"
So if I'm a bird now can I fly? Attempting to lift myself off the ground I gain hight for a moment but immediately fall back down... guess not! But a moment afterwards I hear a voice in my mind speak.

"WHAT-WHAT-WHAT WHAAAAAAT?!? What was that!? Is this some kind of game world I woke up in! What kind of joke is this!?! I'm a #%$ #*!^ bird in a game world!?!"
Calm down I think to myself. No use crying over spilt milk... if this is some kind of game world and I gained a skill called flight mabye I can actually fly now?
Attempting to fly I manage to actually propel myself into the air! I'm not actually gaining much height, it would be more accurate to say I'm just levitating right now. But that's still pretty damn cool!
Whilst hovering like this I suddenly notice the gnawing pain in my stomach. I should probably go find something to eat. Settling onto the floor I begin to climb out of the hole I'm in.
Luckily for me it's a curve and not a straight drop down hole. Otherwise I might not have been able to get out!
Once I exit the hole my (figurative) jaw drops. (birds don't have jaws) all around me. Is lava. As far as the eye can see it's lava. North South West East lava.
I'm honestly to shocked to even respond right now. Shouldn't I be burning to death right now? Lava is something a bazillion degrees is it not? Suddenly, a thought occurs.
I'm a bird with bright orange colored feathers born into an incredibly hot and dangerous environment. Am I some kind of Phoenix?
Clearly this is some kind of fantasy world since not only did I get some kind of skill. no creatures on earth can survive near molten rock
My thoughts are Soon confirmed when I see some kind of sea horse pop out of the lava. Yeah! No way this is earth right? There's no kind of creature that can survive direct contact with lava.
The creature turns to look at me. I'm not sure I like that to be honest. It whips its head back and I see flame forming at its head... It's not shooting that at me is it?!? It is!
The sea horse looking creature fires at me and I jump out of the way the fireball exploding where I was standing a moment ago. Cracks in the floor form from the impact of the shot.
"BACK IN THE HOLE BACK IN THE HOLE!" I scream at myself and make a break for the hole I came out of another fireball zipping past where I was a moment ago. "This thing doesn't have very good aim does it?"
My ridicule is quickly interrupted by another fireball it barely misses me as I leap into my hole... oh crap that's a big drop! "Activate flight! Activate flight! ACTIVATE FLIGHT!"
I manage to glide down back towards my egg. I'm now even more hungry... do I have to eat things like that seahorse... A second thought crosses my mind. What if I eat my eggshell? I would assume it's edible after all. Well... bon Appétit!
I begin eating pieces of my eggshell... and it's not that bad! I keep tearing into it. Kind of tastes bland but it's not bad, Soon enough I finish it off and I'm not nearly as hungry anymore.
"The issue of the seahorse outside still stands though... if I'm some kind of pheonix surely I have some kind of combat skills right? Hey world or whatever you are you can show me right?"
..........nothing happens
"Uhhh status! Nothing status window? Nothing appraise stats? nothing this is dumb! Is there nothing to let me view my own abilities? Are there even any skills to let me see something like that?

"So there is a skill like that! But that seems like alot of points for one skill. But I started with 3000 so mabye it's not that many? Il take it!"

"Ok use appraisal on self!" Bird. "...Wait is that it? That can't be all right? Use appraisal on self!" Pheonix. "... I've been scammed of a third of my points."
I decide to use appraisal on the destroyed egg and... destroyed egg. "yeah I thought so. Worthless skill... no mabye it can level up. It said level 1 didn't it? The way to level up skills in games is to use them so I guess il try doing that."
"Anyways this is distracting me from what I need to do right now. Find a way to deal with the sea horse sitting outside of this hole!"
I tried to breathe fire and it worked! A steady stream of flame came from my beak. It wasn't the normal color of flame it was very bright like a rainbow of sorts. I just hope that meant it was hot enough to kill something that sits in lava
As I exit my hole I see the seahorse still there. It was clearly waiting for me to come out and as soon as I did it shot another fireball at me. I barely managed to get out of the way feeling the air part the feathers of my right wings.
That was a close shot... rolling over and getting up I attempt to fire back at the seahorse my rainbow fire barely not reaching him
Skill proficiency reached:holy fire level 2 acquired. The voice speaks in the back of my head distracting me from the fight at hand.
"Holy fire? That sounds powerful like REALLY powerfu-"
I'm hit directly by a fireball, my momentary distraction costing me. There is no pain but I'm flung far off of the ground beneath my feet. Suddenly im Directly over Magma. There is no time to react, I'm going to die. Thinking back to what I had said minutes ago I quote to myself
"there's no kind of creature that can survive direct contact with lava!"
Have such a way with words I do! God I'm stupid.
