Work Text:

Soviet smiled at America as she brought them out to a nice place, "My treat" she said. She had a large bag in her car but Soviet wasn't allowed to look inside it.

Not like she could anyways without giving it away but Soviet still wanted to. The bag was huge easily taking up half the backseat and Soviet was sure she knew what it was. Just not exactly what it looked like.

America had got her a new friend. What it was, was another question Soviet wanted answered.

America pulled out the large bag and pulled Soviet in where she had made a reservation months in advance.

And there they sat. Eating food and smiling at each other, lit up by a candlelight and faint music.

America had let Soviet pick from the menu which dessert she wanted. They hadn't had much Soviet knew as familiar so she chose the chocolate cherry cake which looked noise and delicious.

The slice they were given was huge and delicious.

"Hey Sovi." Soviet looked up just in time for America to plant a smudge of frosting right onto her nose like she was Rudolph.

"Hey come on dear." As annoyed as Soviet acted, she made no move to wipe it off. Just eating more of the delicious cake with America.

"Okay, now that we're done you can open your present."

Soviets eyes opened wide as she snatched up the bag from the ground and pulled out a huge Black Bear plushie. It was big and soft and Soviet rubbed her cheek into it immediately with a huge grin on her face. She giggled with pure glee. "Mmm. Your name is Blackberry now."

Some people from nearby tables turned to see the slight commotion Soviet had made from her outburst of excitement. The plushie was almost the same size as her and she was hugging it tightly.

America on the other hand was smiling brightly at Soviets reaction. She's spend hundreds of dollars on those for Soviets reaction to them. Every single one loved and appreciated with open arms.

"Thank you dear."

"Of course. I know Bears are your favourite."
