Chapter Text
"why can't you two just get along?" atsumu whined as he watched the two of you, backs to each other and annoyed looks on your faces.
"she's annoying," suna deadpanned.
"well he's the one pissing me off!" you exclaimed turning to face atsumu. "he's the one refusing to cooperate here and now i'm putting in all the effort."
"suna," atsumu starts, making the boy turn around to face you. "would it kill you to put in some effort into this?"
"it wouldn't," he answered, tone rather dull despite the anger bubbling in him. "it's just little miss micromanager over here doesn't like anything i do."
you rolled your eyes. "for the record i would like what you do, if you only followed directions."
"oh then what directions am i missing out on then?" suna asked. "please, enlighten me."
you sighed, trying to keep your emotions at bay. "you forgot page numbers and a proper header on the paper portion of the project," you noted. "plus it isn't revised and you didn't even bother to make a citation list."
suna blinked in response. "i did do those things," he answered coldly. "i left the revised copy on your desk this morning."
"well i didn't get it."
"and how the fuck is that my problem?"
"you should've made the effort to get it to me," you sighed. "oh wait that's right, you were sleeping!" your voice grew more annoyed as you recalled how you spot him sleeping through the one class you shared together, frustration boiling in you while you remembered how he wouldn't wake up despite you constant efforts as you hoped that you could use that class time to work on the project.
"you should've made more of an effort to wake me up," suna answered. "i was tired."
"and how the fuck is that my problem?"
"i feel like we're going in circles here," atsumu winced, nudging his twin brother who was observing the whole scene.
"leave them be," osamu answered. "they'll tire themselves out and stop fighting eventually."
"can eventually come sooner?" atsumu pouted. "i don't like seeing them fight."
"what do you mean? all these two do is fight."
he wasn't wrong in that statement. in fact, to the twins it seemed as you were both made to piss each other off. it was comical to osamu actually, despite atsumu's growing concerns. but that was the dynamic you and suna gave off, pure opposites, that was the best way to describe you both.
atsumu just wished that this pair of opposites would for once get along.
"lazy." you spat out.
"regulator." suna answered back.
"selfish!"
"controlling."
"sloth."
"for the record that's not a bad thing."
"fuck you."
"why don't you then?"
and with that, you felt your heart drop.
his little line seemed to garner the attention of both twins as your anxious eyes watched suna approach you. "what do you mean?"
"you know what i mean," he answered rather alluringly.
god you were going to kill him.
you needed a way out and you needed it fast, watching as his anger turned into something coyer. you were quick to react, pulling out your phone and pretending it went off despite its previous silence. suna looked to you with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. "why is something wrong ms. control freak?" he asked catching your flustered state.
"yeah," you answered instantaneously, the boy not missing how panicked you looked. it fueled his ego in a sense. "i have to go."
and with that you walked off, moving through the hallways at a calm pace despite the rapid beating of your heart. your hand covering your agape mouth as you continued walking, hoping that the twins or suna would follow you before stopping in an abandoned classroom. it would be a nightmare if the twins followed, but it would be hell on earth if suna ended up going after you. your back rests against the wall next to the door, sighing in relief about how fast you got out of there.
"thought you could escape?"
damn it.
you turned to see suna standing at the door with a smirk. "hi," you answered with a panicked yet annoyed look still on your face.
"you were quite the good actor back there." suna sighed as he moved closer to you, caging you against the wall with his arms.
"i could say the same for you," you smiled. "i almost burst into laughter at atsumu's face."
suna laughed before leaning down, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips, one that seemed to be followed by many more. "god i love you."
"if you're trying to get me to forgive you for what you said it's not going to work," you sighed before threading your hands through his hair.
you felt his lips curl into a slight frown, "why can't we just tell everyone?" suna mumbled between kisses. "drop the whole i hate you act and finally say we're together." he asked, "we've been a secret for ages, i want the world to know how much i love you."
at that you pulled away from him. "despite your awfully sweet words, we can't."
"and why not baby?"
"because we're opposites," you sighed. "everyone and their mother knows we hate each other."
"now what's so wrong with being opposites?"
you went silent at his words.
"after all," suna continued. "we used to hate each other and now look at us," he kissed your cheek before patting your head, making you roll your eyes as a blush appeared on your cheeks. "now we're saying i love you."
"but what-" he cut you off with another kiss, his lips melting into yours once more before he moved to the shell of your ear.
"besides," he started voice husky and lower than before.
"they always say that opposites attract."
