Work Text:
It was a Saturday and you were happy to finally get a free day where you could relax. It had been a busy and stressful week for you, so you were glad that you could spend hours on the couch watching a new show you had found on Netflix.
Though you were happy to be free, you were missing your boyfriend, Hawks. As he was the no.2 pro hero, he barely got days off, because he was out protecting the public.
You wished he was with you. It would have been nice to relax with him, but you were glad that he was out doing something he was passionate about. You spent the rest of the day doing things around the house and finishing up some work you had to get done during the weekend.
You made a cup of tea and walked out onto the balcony to enjoy the view of the setting sun. The sky was a mix of reds, oranges yellows, and pinks. You felt a sense of calm as the wind blew in your hair. You were there for quite a while, and the sun had set completely when a figure with large wings approached you. You couldn't help but smile, as Keigo came closer.
He put his fingers under your chin and pulled your head up, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
"Hey there, baby bird. I missed you", he said as he stepped onto the balcony.
"I missed you too, my birdie boy", you giggled at the silly nickname.
You held his hand and tried to pull him inside the apartment, but he in turn yanked your hand, pulling you to him.
"Come with me, I want to take you somewhere."
He jumped up and balanced on the railing, holding his hand out for you to take it. You took it and with a strong flap of his wings, you lifted into the air. He held you tight, knowing you were afraid of heights. You shut your eyes tightly. He looked down at your cutely scrunched up face and chuckled. He began to move slower, and your face relaxed a bit.
Both of you landed on the roof of a building where there was a picnic set up. Posts holding up strings of light surrounded a cosy-looking bunch of blankets and cushions, and buckets of kfc chicken sitting on a small table in the centre. You gasped at the sight.
"When did you get time to do this?", you asked, turning around.
"I have my ways", he chuckled, "Do you like it?", he asked with a hopeful glint in his eyes.
You reached up on tour tiptoes and pecked his lips. "I love it", you said, smiling.
He let one of your hands go and pulled out his phone. He played a song and set it down. He held his hand out towards you,
"May I have this dance?" You giggled and put your hand in his. He pulled you closer to him and put his hands on your waist, while you looped your arms around his neck. You put your head on his shoulder, both of you swaying to the music.
"I love you, my feather", he whispered in your ear softly.
"I love you too", you hummed, feeling safe in his arms. He was your home, your security net, and your soulmate, and you would never let him go.
