Ladybug watched in despair as the illusion of the message retriever with Hawk Moth inside the shield, threatens the Parisians, to attack them more than ever. Ladybug thought
all was lost and can never be repaired. She was never meant to be a hero. All she did was mess all up and neglect her partner.
Previously, during the battle, she and Chat had fought. Chat told her how she never explained any of her plans to him. She had never meant to hurt him. Honestly, she was scared of Chat Blanc happening again. Things went worse when she accidentally revealed that Rena Furtive was around to Chat Noir under the influence of Risk.
She was so pathetic. She let all the people of Paris down and made Chat Noir hate her. Now she was sitting here doing nothing and crying senselessly.
" I've lost everything!" She felt someone's presence behind her. " You haven't lost me."
Ladybug gasped as she saw Chat Noir behind her. How loyal can he be? After everything she did, he still came for her.
" Why don't you just give up on me? I've lost all the Miraculous! I am the worst guardian ever!" " Ladybug it's not your fault. I don't blame you. " Chat Noir exclaimed.
" How can you say all this after all I did to you? I didn't listen to you! I kept you at a distance! Every time you tried to help me, I pushed you away! I am sorry for everything!"
Chat Noir reached out his hand to Ladybug " M'lady...." Ladybug could feel herself blushing as she took his hand.
Chat Noir picked her up and hugged her. " There's nothing to be sorry for, Ladybug. You could never disappoint me. "
Ladybug relaxed knowing that her partner forgave her. But she still couldn't get rid of the guilt she was feeling. She pulled away from him making Chat frown.
She sighed, burying her face in her hands. He deserved to know. But what if he got mad? She closed her eyes and tried not to picture his crestfallen face.
Oh boy, she could already see his cat ears dropping flat against his head. A voice jarred her back to reality.
" Hey! Earth to Ladybug!"
Ladybug lifted her head from her hands and turned around and for some reason, her heart did a small leap when meeting a pair of green emerald eyes.
" You ok, Bugaboo?" Chat Noir went a bit closer to her, putting his warm gloved hands on her shoulders. Ladybug leaned against him a little.
" Hey, is there something on your mind?" He didn't miss her small jump. Ladybug still didn't look at him as she continued to gaze at the Eiffel Tower.
" No... It's fine. I am just stressed. You know with Hawkmoth getting the miraculous and all."
Chat Noir gave a familiar smirk and leaned closer to her. " Are you lying?" Ladybug sensed a feeling of déjà Vu.
But then aura became serious. " Is there something you aren't telling me? I feel like you're hiding something." Ladybug bit her lip. Should she tell him?
They had already fought over her trusty issues. She didn't want to hurt Chat Noir more than she already did. She tightened her fists.
Chat Noir was starting to get worried. Did he cross the line by hugging her? Something was clouding her bluebell eyes that seem wary.
" Why are you like this?" Ladybug broke. Chat tilted her chin to make him look at her, forcing her to look up at him. " You know you can tell me anything right?"
"Y-yes.."
" Then why are you hesitating?" Ladybug met his eyes and he saw a hint of fear in them. She closed her not wanting to have a mental breakdown.
" You wanna know why I never wanted to reveal our identities and kept you in the dark all the time?" Chat nodded not sure where this was going.
A small tear escaped her eyes. It hurt Chat seeing his lady in this state. " The last time you knew my identity it destroyed the whole world. And it isn't fair for me to hide this from you anymore."
" It all started when I gave my friend Adrien a present for his fifth names day," Chat smiled at her, urging her to continue.
" Well, idiot me wrote my civilian name on the card which resulted in him finding out my identity. He probably told Alya who gave it to lady blog and that's how you found out my identity." Chat knew that he didn't do that. Maybe Ladybug was missing something.
" I was about to go home when Bunnix frantically told me about a major disaster that had destroyed the world. " Ladybug looked another way. Chat so desperately wanted
to comfort his lady but at the same time wanted to know what happened.
" She took me to her burrow... And she took me to a horrible future where Paris was completely flooded, and you were there. You called yourself Chat Blanc."
Chat's eyes widened. Chat Blanc. It took him a moment to register that name. " Every single part of you was white except for your eyes which were striking blue."
Ladybug took a deep breath and continued " You kept asking for my miraculous." Chat spoke his voice a little hoarse " Why do I need Y-your miraculous?"
" Because you wanted us to be in l-love again. You said that I left you and you thought I was n-never gonna come back again."
" Did you?" Ladybug shook her head. " I am never gonna leave you, kitty. No matter what happens."
" Anyways... when I refused, you attacked me. To say the truth, you were the hardest villain I had to fight. I couldn't bring myself to fight you Chat Noir. You're my partner and my best friend, I didn't want anything to happen to you and be the cause of it. I care about you a lot more than you think, Chaton. "
Chat's throat felt dry as he asked quietly " What happened next?"
" You said my name. My real name. " How did I know your identity?" Chat asked. " I don't know. But something happened in the timeline that broke us up and...
" Hawkmoth found out." Chat finished the line. "That's what you said. You said everything was perfect until Hawkmoth found out everything. You also said our love did this to the world, M'lady. "
" I couldn't figure out where Akuma was. First I tried your staff but it didn't work. Then you yelled at me to give me your miraculous and that everything was helpless."
" Then I tried your belt which also didn't work. To make a story short, you got angry and threw a mega-cataclysm which made the ground crumpled and I fall dipped below the surface. And you won't believe what I saw.."
Chat was curious to know what happened. " What did you see?" "I saw me and Hawkmoth destroyed and completely turned to ash."
Chat looked a bit guilty now. " I am sorry," Ladybug gave him a strained smile. " Don't blame yourself, Chaton. Anyways, I asked you what happened to them and you said you didn't mean to and I tried to reason with you but you wouldn't listen. And then you summoned a mega cataclysm to take out the world"
Chat gave her a lopsided smile for her to continue " I told you I'd give my miraculous." "What?!" "Don't worry, kitty. First, hear the full story." " Yes?" he said softly.
" You said you were Chat Blanc and not Chat Noir " Chat gave her a goofy smile. " Hey, I am Chat Noir. I will always be Ladybug's Chat Noir even though Hawkmoth made me
Chat Blanc." Ladybug's lips trembled " That's what I said." " I needed to distract you so I leaned in. You thought I was gonna do you know what. While you were distracted I grabbed your bell and - and everything went back to normal. The Akuma flew out I captured it and eve-everything went back to normal. "
Chat smiled. " So, you finally figured out where the Akuma was?" " Yeah... I did." She gave him a small sad smile.
"M'lady?" " Yes?" HE wrapped his arms around her tightly " " Thanks for saving me."
Ladybug's breath caught in her throat. Instead of saying anything, she just sunk into the hug without responding.
" Why? You deserve so much better than me. I hurt you a lot, mon Chaton." Chat stared blankly at the sky before saying " Because what you were doing was to protect me. Sure, the way you did wasn't the right way to do it. But I could never be mad at My Bugaboo."
"Chat?" " Hmm" That doesn't change the fact that I lost all the Miraculous." " No, it doesn't" Ladybug frowned.
" But we are gonna get them back one by one, until the very last. And we'll make sure this never happens again!" " You and...Me?" Ladybug asked to make sure if she was hearing right or not.
" You, the best superhero there ever was," Parisians started cheering for them " and Me, Your Loyal Partner"
Ladybug sunk into his arms deeper knowing that whatever happens, will get back all the Miraculous and fix everything. She and Her Loyal Partner.
