I was left to my own devices
Achilles stands on top of a building, looking out onto the ongoing war. The top heroes fighting the league of villains. U.A hero course students can be seen gathering civilians and leading them to safety.
Many days fell away with nothing to show
Izuku knew war was approaching, it was inevitable. At this point, battle has been insuing for several hours. Many of the heroes are injured and worn down from the constant fighting, and many casualties lie among them. Yet, the worst is yet to come. Shigaraki is yet to be seen.
And the walls kept tumbling down
The city is already in despair, many buildings have fallen or caught fire.
In the city that we love
What was once a prospering shopping district, has been reduced down to rubble and ash.
Grey clouds roll over the hills
As war rages on, so does the fire left from both Endeavor and Dabi, now known as Todoroki Touya.
Bringing darkness from above
The sky is covered by thick clouds of ash and smoke. Achilles makes his way towards a group of kids, all scared out of their minds.
“But if you close your eyes”
“Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?”
Achilles comforts the kids, telling them to imagine the prospering city the ruins once were. Though, he knows it will never be the same again.
“And if you close your eyes”
“Does it almost feel like you’ve been here before?”
As the kids remember the bustling city they grew up in, Izuku looks out to the fight. More heroes have fallen, but the villains look like they’re only getting started.
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Izuku sees something, no someone, emerging from the distance.
How am I gonna be an optimist about this? Shigaraki steps into view, destruction following his every step. There is an air of power radiating off of him that wasn’t there before. Shigaraki Tomura has inherited All for One. The final boss has arrived and the heroes have no chance.
