Work Text:
It was a relatively “slow” day all things considered. The boys were in the living room, whispering amongst themselves. At first Otto thought nothing of it until he heard his name mentioned enough times to be concerning. He was in the kitchen, preparing a simple lunch, as it was his turn to cook. He paused when he heard “when to meet him” and was now extremely curious as to what his boys could be going on about.
He left the soup he was making to simmer, and walked to the living room, curiosity growing even more as the three Peters froze as he walked in the room.
“And just what are you three going on about?” Otto asked, eyebrow raised at their “act casual” poses.
“Nothing much Doc.” Pete said, trying to play it off. Of course knowing his youngest and his inability to lie smoothly (I.e. much worse than the other two), Otto sighed.
“I won’t push, just tell me when you’re ready.” He smirked slightly as he turned to walk back into the kitchen as he heard Petey call out to him.
“Actually Doc, there is something I wanted to talk to you about.”
Otto went back to the three, sitting on the couch. “I’m all ears Petey.” He watched as the boy blushed, throwing Otto back in the past when Peter visited him and Rosie, the same look on his face when asked if he had a girlfriend.
“What’s their name?” Otto asked, noticing Petey’s hesitation to start.
The triple surprised looks thrown at him brought a laugh out, smiling at the three.
“Peter had the same look on his face when he talked about MJ from our universe.” He said, shrugging slightly. “I may not know this person yet, but I do know you three.”
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Petey looked the doctor in his eyes. “Well…his…name is wadewilson”
Otto frowned at the quick murmuring of Petey’s words. “Come again? I didn't get that last part.”
Before Petey could respond, a knock on the window caused eight heads to snap towards the sound.
Upside down, waving at them was Otto’s biggest (besides Norman) pain in the ass, also known as Deadpool. Using one of his actuators, he threw the window open and dragged the man in.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” Otto snapped, using all four mechanical arms to bind the man. “Who the hel-“
“Doc!”
“Doctor Octavius!”
“Otto!”
He turned towards the three voices calling him. “How?!” The fury in his body didn’t allow him to ask more than that, just wanting the red and black menace out of his home and away from his boys.
He looked between the three, noticing the worried and scared look in Petey’s eyes. Otto looked at him incredulously, everything clicking in the physicist’s head.
“NO!” He looked between the menace and Petey. “No, him?! No!”
The more he freaked out, Pete and Peter both tried to pry Wade out of the arms grasp. Otto let go of him, Flo being the overprotective “big sister” kept him in their grasp.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, eyes shut, he sighed deeply. “Now I want to know how this happened, when it happened, and of all people why him.”
“Uhm, can I be put down?” Wade asked, shrieking at the sudden movement of him being dangled out of the window.
“Gladly,” Otto said, looking at the dangling man coldly.
“Otto, you’re gonna make Petey upset.” Peter said.
Otto turned towards his middle child, feeling horrible at the tears in his eyes. He sighed, bringing the menace back in to the apartment. He put him down (threw him down) and walked towards Petey. He knew it was a stupid move, especially with what had happened to Gwen in Petey’s universe. Otto pulled the boy into his arms, one hand rubbing his back, the other holding Petey’s head in his shoulder knowing it could calm him down from the dark memories going through the boy’s head.
Petey pulled away after taking a few moments to calm down. He walked towards his boyfriend, holding his hand. “Doc, this is Wade Wilson, my boyfriend. Wade this is Dr. Otto Octavius.”
Otto frowned slightly, knowing that the menace was here to stay. He sighed, holding his hand out to the man.
Wade grabbed the doctor’s hand, shaking it firmly. Normally he would be his usual cocky self but when it came to his baby, he had to be serious at this moment.
Wade shrieked (not like a little girl, and no it wasn’t a sexy one either, weirdos) as the doctor pulled him closer.
“Just know that if you hurt Petey, I will tear you apart, and once you start to grow back, I’ll do it again and again and again.” Otto warned.
“Well Doc, if I didn't know about you and Norman, I would’ve thought you were into me.” Wade said. He quickly jumped out of the opened window, promising to call Petey later.
Otto rushed to the window, growling as his arms just missed from grabbing the menace. He turned towards the three Spider-men, frowning slightly at their laughing faces.
“You three are lucky I like you.” He teased, shutting the window.
