Sunfall didn't know what to do. His mind was racing as he watched his friend, Moonflower's body was dragged into the camp.
But instead of getting placed in the the camp so the clan could hold a vigil she was taken to the medicine cat den.
That made Sunfall blink. Was there a chance that Moonflower was still alive? Could she be saved?
Sunfall and Moonflower are best friends although Sunfall has had a crush on her for a while and to be honest he still does.
But Moonflower didn't love Sunfall back. Instead she fell in love with a cat named Stormtail and became his mate and had his two kits named Snowpaw and Bluepaw.
Now Sunfall doesn't like Stormtail. Not just because he's Moonflower's mate but because he's a massive asshole.
Stormtail is a very prideful cat. He spends his days hunting and providing for his clan. Which would be good but Stormtail never has any time for his family.
Stormtail also doesn't spend time with Moonflower and he never has any time for his kits and he never helps them train.
Which makes Sunfall mad of course. But he spends a lot of time with Moonflower and even her two kits.
Shaking away his thoughts Sunfall approached the medicine cat den and stared at Goosefeather and Featherwhisker.
Now Moonflower got hurt and maybe died in a battle with windclan. The clan decided to fight against windclan all because Goosefeather saw a so-called "omen" In a dead vole's pelt and said that starclan said that they should attack windclan or windclan would chase thunderclan out of the forest.
Some cats including Sunfall didn't believe that but Pinestar didn't care and attacked anyway.
But windclan fought fiercely and chased thunderclan out. If you want to get technical The fact that Moonflower is hurt and maybe dead is all Goosefeather's fault.
"Is Moonflower alive?" Sunfall asked.
"Yes. For now. If your not hurt get out of here. Your crowding the den." Goosefeather ordered.
Sunfall knows that what Goosefeather saying is true but at the same time he can't help but get angry. But he didn't speak and he just did as he was told and left.
As he padded away Sunfall ran right into Stormtail and his yellow fur bristled. He was so tempted to snap at the tom but he managed to keep his tongue.
Sunfall was about to walk away but then Stormtail spoke up.
"How's Moonflower?" He asked.
That was the last straw for Sunfall and he lashed his tail, thinking of an angry reply.
"She would be fine if you helped her!" Sunfall pointed out.
Stormtail's eyes widened. "What do you mean? Are you telling me that I'm responsible for my mate's death?" He demanded.
"Moonflower is not dead yet. And maybe that is what I'm saying. After all where were you when your mate was dying? Your own daughter had to watch her mother get badly injured." Sunfall pointed out.
"I was on the other side of the battlefield helping my apprentice, Dapplepaw! What the fuck was I supposed to do? Magically fly over there with the power of starclan?" Stormtail asked.
Sunfall wrinkled his nose in disgust. "I think you spend to much time with Dapplepaw I feel bad for her."
"Oh shut up. She's my apprentice and I can do what I want with her." Stormtail then turned away. "I'm not going to bother talking with you. Your clearly only jealous that Moonflower loves me. Not you." He pointed out.
But before Sunfall could reply Stormtail stormed off. Sighing Sunfall went to go and try and find Bluepaw to comfort her.
If Moonflower lives or dies Sunfall is still going to act like a father to Bluepaw and Snowpaw if Stormtail will not.
