Downtime

Summary:

A Magius' meeting ended early, with enough time spared to allow the Amane Sisters a moment of much-needed alone time.

Work Text:

The Magius' plans were going smoothly with the way Touka-san explained the situation: the Uwasa were drawing in energy, Grief Seeds were plentiful among the Black Feathers, and Alina Gray was distracted by one of her latest “art pieces.”

Which the Amane Sisters understood to be a good thing, moved by Touka-san’s promises of liberation. There were no further actions needed, at least, not until Nemu-san completed another Uwasa, which meant more feathers that needed recruiting and training. But for now, the Wings of the Magius could preen their feathers.

It was with this in mind that Amane Tsukasa and Amane Tsukuyo scampered away into a room in Fendt Hope, to enjoy each other's company, Tsukasa in the lead. A locked door to avoid any stray feathers walking in on what Tsukasa staked as their time together, before they had to remember responsibilities again, before Tsukuyo had to go home to lessons, Tsukasa to her chores.

As usual, Tsukasa let Tsukuyo initiate contact, letting her work up the nerves to wrap her arms around Tsukasa’s torso, hugging her closely and sighing out contently. Then, Tsukasa broke their contact and pecked Tsukuyo's lips first, and they grinned and giggled with each other, like this was their little secret, whatever this was. Tsukasa felt good knowing she made Tsukuyo feel good. Made her smile and shyly tuck her hair behind her ear—gosh, Tsukuyo was so pretty.

It was something Tsukasa noticed when she hugged her sister, but Tsukuyo was soft, teasingly pinching and rubbing the skin at Tsukuyo’s sides, smiling at the way Tsukuyo twitched away from her grabbing. The warmth of another body so close to hers, how her sister's face and breath felt against her skin when they kissed again. Their arms held their bodies together, Tsukuyo's gentle rubbing on Tsukasa’s shoulders and arms, their school uniforms catching and tugging and pleasantly warm with friction.

Their kisses dragged on longer, the giggles cut-short for sighs and murmurs of each other's name. Tsukuyo's hair conditioner cornered Tsukasa's senses, each catch of their lips tailed by a sound sticky and wet (because Tsukuyo's were so soft and Tsukasa's weren't). Tsukuyo hummed into Tsukasa’s mouth, her hand slowly holding Tsukasa's chin in place, sucking on her bottom lip.

They stopped for a moment. Tsukuyo’s lips parted, eyes hazy, and Tsukasa could only imagine she looked the same, her own breathing coming out in airy puffs.

Then Tsukuyo reached out, giving Tsukasa another kiss, suddenly holding Tsukasa's cheeks in place, her tongue brushing Tsukasa's bottom lip, whose knees wobbled, keeping herself steady with her arms wrapped around Tsukuyo's waist. Wet and warm, Tsukuyo's pretty sighs swallowed under Tsukasa's own whimper. Breathing in each other made Tsukasa dizzy.

… with their shared contact, Tsukuyo's eyes flickered between Tsukasa's own. The way, when Tsukuyo shifted her weight from one leg to another, their lips and chests pressed together harder for a second—Tsukuyo's teeth bumped into hers, Tsukasa grabbed Tsukuyo's rear and squeezed her closer, catching the startled noise Tsukuyo sung into her mouth—and Tsukasa's face burned hot at her own odd noise at the back of her throat. Another whimper as Tsukuyo hands wandered; a soft pinch at Tsukasa’s ears, then trailing down passed her neck to squeeze her shoulders.

Tsukuyo’s gaze kept trailing just shy of Tsukasa’s, but she pulled away, her head dipping down to Tsukasa’s neck, and Tsukasa could hardly focus on what’s in front of her, eyelids fluttering, one moment catching glimpse of Tsukuyo’s ponytail, the next, her attention drawn to her neck and the wet chirps of Tsukuyo’s lips on her skin, vision blurring, unimportant.

Her breathing stilted and erratic as she choked out, “N-no marks.”

And their clothes were in the way, a heated thrill down Tsukasa’s spine when Tsukuyo’s hands slipped just shy over Tsukasa’s chest—she sharply breathed in, and Tsukuyo slid the suspenders of Tsukasa’s uniform off her shoulders.

"Tsukasa-chan," Tsukuyo sighed, and Tsukasa swallowed at the way her sister’s lips pressed softly at her throat, her knees trembling again, chest to chest, Tsukasa’s hands gripping at Tsukuyo’s hips and lower back, Tsukuyo boldly placing a hand against Tsukasa’s breast—Tsukuyo’s thighs shuffling between Tsukasa’s—Tsukasa’s legs were about to give out—

A loud knocking startled the both of them.

Tsukasa swallowed down an embarrassing squawk.

Tsukuyo gasped and suddenly stood away from her.

Tsukasa held her breath, shivering at the chill on her neck.

"Tsukuyo-sama, Tsukasa-sama?"

The door's handle jingled. Tsukasa glanced to Tsukuyo, who looked back towards her, but they remained silent. Tsukasa swallowed.

"I-" the voice stuttered, "I could have sworn I saw them go in there."

"Let me try," another voice said, softer and familiar. The door handle shook again, a gentle but sure knock against the door.

"Tsukuyo-san?"

Tsukuyo inhaled softly, palms running down the front of her uniform, smoothing it out towards the door. Tsukasa easily recognized the voice herself, fixing her own uniform and following her sister along, rolling her shoulders, fitting the suspenders into place as Tsukuyo opened the door.

"Yes, Mifuyu-san?"

“Is Tsukasa-san with you?”

“I’m here,” Tsukasa said as Azusa Mifuyu came into view.

Tsukasa made eye contact with Mifuyu, holding it for a moment before her face heated, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear—it wasn’t obvious what she and Tsukuyo were doing, was it?—straying somewhere behind Miyufu's shoulder instead. Two black feathers stood with their backs straight, heads lowered with their hoods obscuring their eyes, and Tsukasa thought she may recognize one, green hair she may have seen in passing around Kosho.

"Is something the matter?" Tsukuyo asked, and Tsukasa looked back over to Mifuyu, who was silent, eyes lingering on Tsukuyo.

Tsukasa swallowed, stepping forward just shy of Tsukuyo’s side, still somewhat behind her in the door frame.

Mifuyu continued before Tsukasa had a chance to ruminate. Whether she knew what happened or not, Mifuyu smiled down at them nonetheless.

"The Magius have assigned the two of you to watch over the Misery Water Uwasa.”

"An Uwasa?" Tsukuyo asked after a brief pause.

Us?" Tsukasa blinked, finishing for her.

"Yes," Mifuyu said, "you're both White Feathers all the same."

They exchanged a look, Tsukasa watching Tsukuyo blink at her.

"It's nothing serious, just make sure none of the feathers drink the water, and turn away any curious civilians from the sewers,” Mifuyu assured them. “I’ll give you two a moment to collect yourselves.”

“Thank you very much, Mifuyu-san,” Tsukuyo said, carefully closing the door again. It remained unlocked.

She turned to Tsukasa, and a small laugh escaped Tsukuyo’s lips, followed by, “You are a mess, Tsukasa-chan.”

Hardly the chance to look down at herself—her scarf visibly disheveled, a folded lump by her shoulder—before Tsukuyo’s hands rolled up her suspenders with practiced ease, next working on tightening Tsukasa’s tie, all too comfortably close to Tsukasa’s chest and neck.

“Thanks,” Tsukasa squeaked out, tempted to continue.

Tsukuyo had done a better job at righting herself before, but Tsukasa tugged at Tsukuyo’s sleeves, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, cupping her cheek, appreciating the little smile she got in return… she wanted to touch Tsukuyo, too!

Biting her bottom lip, Tsukasa hesitated.

"Next time," Tsukuyo said, stroking her thumb against Tsukasa’s hand.

“Next time,” Tsukasa promised.
