I take a bus from the city centre to the bus stop that's in walking distance to where i live after getting some supplies for the start of my holiday to Japan tomorrow and i head to the local shop and i am in there and i am looking at pot noodles trying to decide which one to go for when three men in masks enter and holds everyone in the store hostage. one of them grabs me by the hair and forces me to the floor and walks away i look around and i see a little girl not far from where i am looking terrified when i am sure that I'm not going to get caught by the men holding us hostage i quietly sit up and gesture for the girl to quietly make her way over to me and when she does i gesture for her to curl up and she does and i go back to the floor shielding her as best i can.
I have no idea how long i stayed in that position and when i hear the police enter and i hear them arrest the men in masks, i nonetheless don't move until a police offer says "It's alright, we've arrested the men involved it's safe to get up now" I sit up revealing the little girl i had been sheltering and i stand up and then help the little girl up from the floor. The police officer takes us out of the shop and to an ambulance where paramedics check us over and gives us the clear bill of health. Police officers take our statements and they had just finished when the girl's parents arrive and learn what just happened.
I start making my way home only i get stopped by the little girl's parents who thanked me profusely for saving their daughter "It's no problem, i only did what's right" I reassure and after making a quick stop at the shop after enquiring if they were open and i bought pot noodles and collected my bags that i had dropped in the chaos and made my way home and had my pot noodles after warming them up. The next day i my holiday started with my travel to Japan and having the next day to relax a bit to unwind from the travel.
I've been in Japan for a week now and i am spending a month in Japan, currently i am in Kyoto and i have just bought an outfit and i was lucky enough to find shoes in my size, i went back to my hotel room in Kyoto. I'm glad i spent the last couple of years learning Japanese as it has come in handy so far I have changed into my outfit i bought even the shoes and right now i am walking in Japan and it is evening time and i am strolling through the city This place is beautiful I bought a tour guide called 'A Traveler's Guide to Japan's Hottest Warlords.' as it made me smile and promised information on good sightseeing spots. Flicking through the book showed a monument to Nobunaga Oda is in Kyoto showing a map to it's location I'm glad i am curious of Japan's history as i know that he almost unified all of Japan under his rule 'In the year 1582, betrayed by Mitsuhide Akechi, Nobunaga committed suicide amidst the fiery wreckage of Honno-Ji' I read
I followed the map to where Honno-Ji once stood to see a simple, sombre monument Hmm it has its own beauty in a way, things don't have to be complicated to be beautiful after all I spend time looking at the monument for a moment when a man comes up to the monument as well. He's wearing a lab coat in public does make him stand out could he be a scientist? he looks young maybe he just finished studying to become one I snap out of my thoughts when i feel a rain drop fall on my nose."Oh no" I groan
"What poor timing" the man complains "Clear skies all day and all night' it said! Stupid weather report" the man continued "Are you alright do you have an umbrella?" he asked
"yes but it's at my hotel room" I answer before either of us could say anything else a bolt of lightning touched down in front of us, shattering the stone monument. First time I've seen lightning that close
"Careful miss" the man starts holding out a hand but everything warped into darkness, I last for a few minutes but eventually i have to close my eyes as i start to feel dizzy all of a sudden. After a period of time i have to close my eyes as everything started to get too dizzy for me.
When the dizziness passed i open my eyes to see streams of billowing hot smoke what? it was just raining and now it's not and suddenly there's fire, how did i get in here when i was outside? I cover my nose and mouth with my hand i look around trying to see if i can spot the man in the lab coat when i saw a man in ancient Japanese armour asleep on the floor. There's another man holding some kind of weapon approaching the sleeping man, hang on that's a sword he raised the sword above the sleeping man "Hey, Mister, look out!" I call out and the man with the sword froze, i crouch beside the unconscious man and i shake him urgently and he finally wakes up, opening his eyes lazily
"Who are you?" he asks
"There is no time for introductions I'm afraid, let's get you out of here!" I inform With a building on fire and a man trying to kill you we need to get you out of here "Take my hand!" I spoke he took my hand into his powerful hand and I hold tight and pulled him to his feet. I'd rather not see anyone hurt or worse die in this fire We run through the fire for our lives.
I let out a breath once we are safely out of the burning building. "Someone tried to do away with me while I slept? Audacious, but foolish." the man i saved commented "killing my guards and getting that close to me is another matter" he continued "you there woman. Let go of me" he commanded i did so
"I'm sorry i didn't realise i was still holding your hand" I spoke he looked me over thoughtfully
"You saved my life" he commented"you may be some girl the monks snuck in for amusement, but I owe you my thanks" he spoke
"I'm not sure how i got in there" I comment just who have i saved exactly?
"What are you staring at? Surely you know who I am" He demanded
"I honestly don't sorry" I answer
"You saved me without knowing who I am? Not expecting a reward or favour?" he asked "So be it, I shall tell you my name. I am the man who will rule all under the sun" he starts Wait i have a hunch as to who he is and i think I'd rather not know
"on second thought, I'd rather not know" I interrupt
"What?" He asked incredulous "You're a curious one, woman. No one's ever spoken so impudently to me before" he continued and let out a loud, amused laughed that echoed into the night. "You intrigue me, which almost as worthy of praise as saving my life" he commented "I am the lord of Azuchi Castle and Daimyo of Owari, Nobunaga Oda." he introduced himself.
