Work Text:
"Uki? Are you okay?" Fulgur asked, he had woken to the sound of sniffling, and he could feel the wet of tears on his arm where Uki was hiding his face. "I.. I'm fine Fuu Fuu-Chan, just... Had a little bit of a nightmare" Uki replied.
In truth, Uki's nightmare was anything but little. In his nightmare, Fulgur was walking away from him, he was calling for him, begging him to come back, but Fulgur kept walking as if he couldn't hear him. Fulgur walked a great distance before coming face to face with a masked man with a gun, Uki yelled, trying to stop him, but it was all to no avail, the man with the gun shot Fulgur. There was blood, so much blood, as he shot him repeatedly, Uki couldn't move, all he could do was scream, he screamed for the man to stop, but it soon became apparent that the man couldn't hear him. Finally, the man stopped, Uki felt a sense of panic as the man turned to face him, and slowly revealed his face. Uki was scared senseless when he saw his own face staring back at him.
"Uki? How about we get some coffee, it'll help calm you" Fulgur said softly, "that sounds nice, thank you, Fuu-Chan.." Fulgur got up to go make the coffee, and Uki followed, he was like a moth to a flame, completely drawn to Fulgur. He felt like his beloved Fuu-Chan would never come back if he left him alone. Uki stood behind Fulgur and wrapped his arms around his waist.
When the coffee was done, Fulgur poured two glasses, and sat with Uki on the sofa. "This tastes really good, Fuu-Chan" Uki said as he took his first sip, and before either of the boys knew it, both cups were empty. Uki silently moved over to Fulgur and snuggled up to him, hiding his face in his chest. "I love it when you hold me Fuu-Chan.." he said softly, "The light in your eyes makes me feel alright"
He's so beautiful, Fulgur though, admiring Uki's features, his purple ombre hair, his skin, pale as snow, his eyes, usually bright like the sun. Fulgur slowly raan his hand over Uki's jawline, down to his neck, he ran his hand down his back and rubbed circles softly at the bottom of his back. Fulgur brought his hand back up to Uki's face, back to the silky, soft hair. He gently moved his hair away from his face and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, "I love you, Uki" he said this so quietly, so tenderly, "I love you, too, Fuu Fuu-Chan"
Uki knew he would never have to worry about Fulgur leaving him, Uki rested well for the rest of that night, and the nightmare never came back.
The love between these boys was pure and would last a lifetime, no doubt about that, they would always love each other, through the rough times, through life, even death couldn't separate them.
