The moment she doesn't brush him away when he give her his usual greeting antics, and the fact that she is alone without her flying companion alarmed him.
"Whats happened, comrade?" He asked, hoping his voice contain some sincerity.
"Nothing." Her answer definitely cut down the conversation.
He trailing her, walking out of Liyue Harbor gate. But didn't say anything.
"Why you following me?" When they approach the hill near ancient waypoint, she stopped and asking.
"Well, uh... I just get the feeling to not let you alone...?" He didn't lie. Eventhough he scratch his neck and cant saw her in the eyes and averted his gaze to the harbor, now spread in the distance.
"Childe, just leave me alone," She dropped her voice, "please."
He think he saw tears on that last word.
"Lumine-"
"You hear me right? Leave me alone!"
This time he saw the tears glistening from the sun shine on her cheeks.
He closed the distance, "Whats happened in that ruin? With that strange masked man?"
She rub her palm on her face, try to erase the tears with no avail. He eyeing her with concern.
"I dont know whats happening," She tried to talk, almost choked, "He suddenly appear, and leaving me again with some bullshit, that dumbass brother!"
Realization strike him. So he decide just to shut his lips tight. Standing there, listening to her ranting and at some point she drop down crying so hard without coherent words. He just there, move to sit next to her.
After awhile she calm downs. The sun comes down, paint the harbor and the sea pinkish orange as far as they can see from the hill they sit on. She hug her leg on her chest, eyeing the horizon a far with her swollen eyes.
"At the end of the day, I think I just want him to trust me more. Just tell me the truth, take me there with him. I'm not a kid whose dream should be protected anymore, stupid big brother."
He hear her words clearly, and those words take him back to his little brother. He close his eyes and let out long breath.
Maybe, just maybe, he do understand the whole situation.
"Stupid big brother indeed."
He finally reply her.
