The Ancient Lirias
Once upon a time, there were many villages in one country, each one bursting at the seams with occupants, either locals or tourists. There was little to no fighting in these villages. But a series of unavoidable tragedies struck all at once, progressively obliterating what had once been a thriving and healthy community.
The folks pleaded and prayed for aid because they were in such a serious situation. People claimed to have sensed another presence with them after a few seconds that felt like years. Then three individuals appeared, each with a different aura, after a cloud of sand and dust was hurled in their faces by an unknown source of violent wind.
The people pleaded with these personalities to come to their help and save the country from collapsing. After a couple of cries from the villagers, the statistics were accepted. Residents tried to piece the communities together and seek refuge from the storms and outlanders for several days, with the mysterious figures assisting and doing everything in their power to protect them all.
The dread had dissipated after several weeks, allowing the people to rejoice in their still-functioning lifestyles and the figures to depart satisfied. People began worshiping to the figures as if they were gods after witnessing their celestial abilities and the assistance they provided.
The locals dubbed them "The Ancient Lirias," and they sought help and shelter under the Lirias' wing, which has proudly kept the nation standing.
Lyuzhen, Jiraen, and Nihuo Quercia were the three lands that made up the country. Each one unique in their own way.
Residents of those locations believed that the divine could not watch over them all at the same time, because disasters have struck these communities, and while some have eased, others have worsened and lingered longer than the inhabitants would like.
As a result, the villagers prayed for the Lirias to come down and help them all. When the divine figures arrived to see what their people desired, the people were ecstatic. When the divine figures arrived to see what their people wanted, they urged them to find a way to keep the nation at peace.
After much deliberation and begging from the locals, the Lirias consented to split. Then there's the matter of having all sites safeguarded and watched after.
Though the villagers may appear to be lucky, the village of Jiraen did not have the best luck. As the Liria of misfortune, Noruban had opted to take over and be responsible for Jiraen, as she had previously shared.
The villagers were grateful for the protection of a Liria, but they thought Liria was odd. She wasn't particularly aggressive, but she had some nefarious tendencies. While she did protect the village, she enjoyed intentionally causing mischief, which often resulted in major or minor damage throughout Jiraen, or where she will go out of her way to leave the people unprotected; when the people demanded answers, she only laughed and replied, "It's just a little test to see your independence!"
Residents, on the other hand, were not amused by the Liria and objected, demanding a new Liria or, at the very least, that the Liria defend them properly.
This irritated Noruban, who sought a trade from the people. Noruban proposed (or more accurately, demanded) that they give over their expensive possessions to her as a form of sacrifice, and then they would have a brand new Liria to watch over Jiraen.
The residents, relieved that they would be getting a new (hopefully responsible) Liria, began to donate valuable items to the shrine the villagers had once built for the Ancient Liria one by one. You name it: precious stones, gold and silver necklaces, jewelry, etc. Which, as a result of the large number of residents, began to pile up in that shrine.
On top of that heap was a gleaming necklace with a tiny fox delicately attached to the gold chains.
