He’s 30 when he meets a mutant who will change his life forever.
Charles sees him, not like a weapon, but like a person.
His gaze lingers on Erik for hours after he looks away.
Erik thinks he might have found a home in Charles, in his beautiful view of the world.
But life crashes into him, and suddenly they’re on a beach, saying things that should have never been said.
He holds Charles in his arms and silently apologizes to him, begging him without words to forgive him.
But Charles rejects his apologies and Erik’s heart breaks in two.
