Curled up on Ritsu’s bed, Shigeo had an arm wrapped around his little brother’s waist. They were watching some sci-fi film because those were Ritsu’s favorites. It wasn’t like it mattered to Shigeo since he couldn’t make out anything that was going on on screen anyway.
His focus was on the the warmth of Ritsu’s back, the sweet scent of Ritsu’s hair, and the cute way Ritsu always intertwined their legs to be that much closer. There was truly no better way to spend a lazy Sunday than with his other half.
His free hand combed aside some of Ritsu’s fluffy hair to leave kisses on Ritsu’s neck.
“Nii-san,” Ritsu whined. “You said you’d pay attention this time.”
“I can’t help it. I always want to kiss you.” He propped himself up on his arm to kiss around Ritsu’s cheek and ear, too, watching them turn redder with each touch.
“Can you stop that? It tickles, and I’m still trying to watch.” It wasn’t like Ritsu particularly minded the attention. It was just more embarrassing than anything. He was too tangled up with Shigeo’s body that hiding his reactions was impossible.
Knowing that, Shigeo’s glowing powers paused the movie. “We can continue it later. I never get you to myself.”
“Fine.” Ritsu turned around and hugged him back. “Only because I’ve missed being able to do this, too.”
Ritsu buried himself in Shigeo’s chest while the older sibling gave the top of his head kisses.
“Ritsu, you’re too cute! I’ll love you forever!” Shigeo fawned over his brother and squeezed him tighter.
Ritsu peaked up cautiously. “Promise?”
“Of course! Who could I ever love more than you?”
Ritsu’s finger ran gentle circles on Shigeo’s back. “You’ve been getting more popular lately. Before you only really spoke to Reigen and me, but lately you have the body improvement club, and the telepathy club, and Mezato, and Teruki. You have a lot more options now.”
Shigeo tilted Ritsu’s chin up to kiss his nose. “I could say the same for you. You’re on the student council, our schoolmates adore you, you keep in touch with the kids from the awakening lab, and Shou takes up your attention at least once a week. For someone so drawn in by powers, you know a lot of espers now. You might grow bored of me soon.” He added that last sentence dramatically.
Ritsu whipped up and straddled the other’s pelvis. “That’ll never happen! I could never love anyone more than you! Yes, I love your powers, but I also love when it’s cold out and you hold my hand in your pocket, and I love how every New Year’s you talk to me to keep me awake until I can watch the new sunset. I can never get enough of your smile or how gentle you are to others. You’re the most hard working person I know, yet it’s never for selfish gains. There’s no one like you, so there’s no way I could ever dream of being with anyone else.”
Shigeo was only teasing him, but that did fluster him a bit. “Then how could you think I could love anyone else? You’re the first to greet me every day and the last to say goodnight after making sure I’m alright. You fix my spoons so I don’t have to replace them. You’re smart on a national skill, but you still spend your time helping better the school. Not to mention, you’re way sexier than anyone else at school.”
He playfully grabbed Ritsu’s ass, making him gasp. Teasing Ritsu was undoubtedly Shigeo’s favorite way to spend his free time since he knew Ritsu only turned that shade of pink for him. If anyone else make that comment, a tie would already be strangling them.
“So you really won’t leave me for anyone else?” Ritsu asked as he leaned down.
“Where would I go? Down the hall back to me room?” he joked.
“I just love you too much. I want to spend every possible moment like this with you.”
“I know because I love you just as much.” He hands ran up and down Ritsu’s back as he gently kissed him.
Shigeo found the mere notion of Ritsu being jealous amusing. Who else could melt into his arm from a single kiss? Or still get excited goosebumps after spending their whole lives together?
In Shigeo’s mind, his boyfriend was beyond his wildest dreams, and knowing how much Ritsu wanted him by his side only made Shigeo love him that much more.
