Chapter Text
In the middle of the night
Chapter One
So, the situation was like, real strange. A bunch of friends, going out for the night. Not like having drinks and let themselves out. No. Ice skating. All the girls were kind of an expert. Expect for one girl. Jinx. She was a total failure of that kind of sport. So, she did not even plan to go out. But her friends talked her head full of it. And she tagged along. She planned to do a few spins around, then get out and have some drink by herself. But everything changed when he saw him. And it was all by a sudden eye contact.
Jinx was the last one to get on the ice. All her friends were already on the ice. And spinning everywhere. But it was hard for her to stand up with her new kind of shoes, to be on the ice, and try to skate around. When she finally got her courage, and stepped to the ice, she almost fell. And hit her butt very hard but got a grip at the edge of the ice stage. To build up her power, before she could do anything.
“Don’t be such an ass, Powder! Come on!” Vi shouted, as she passed by Jinx.
Her sister. Who was stronger, older, and much more perfect? And was already spinning around like an Olympic. And maybe even she laughed at her younger sister. But did not really care about more that. Just moved around. Not caring about Powder.
Jinx barely got by. But almost letting go of the edge of the stage. Over her first round on the ice. Stopped for a few moments, to hold on. Building up her some courage. When her eyes, locked with another pair of eyes.
The mysterious man. Who was on the other side of the ice stage. Where he looked at the skating people. He almost walked away when he spotted a girl. Standing next to the exit on the ice stage. A beautiful, young, blue haired girl. That made him even stay. And watch everyone skate around. But mainly, focusing on the blue haired woman.
Even this made Jinx feel empowered. To try to go around by herself. And do some steps without holding on to something. So, when Jinx was able to do that, everyone was so surprised. But nothing lasted way to long. They kept going on.
After some time. Jinx quit after doing so many laps. By herself. She literally kicked her ice skating shoes off, then put her legs down, to the chairs. Her legs were hurt. So much. She finally took out some sighs, when she looked around, and saw the mysterious man. Again.
“I assume, you do not really do ice skating.” The man said, as he spoke up. Standing a bit way far away from Jinx.
“Nah. Not my thing.” Jinx said, as she looked at him. “I am not like I would hurt you, so you can even sit right here.”
Even by that. He still, did not sit down. He wanted to stand. And stay quiet a bit. But the power and everything he felt by looking over that girl. Made him want to stay there forever, by her sight. The youth what came out of her. Was glowing. Real hard.
The conversation went along. Jinx was really open with that man. Even got his name. Silco. The name behind the mysterious man. So charming and mysterious. Jinx really liked it, already. But as she looked at him, she only saw the ages fly by. She was young. Not that young. But younger than him. But already felt how charming he was. And was ready to give in everything.
There was a moment when each friend of Jinx, went down from the ice, to have some rest. Silco did not take any less chance, to invite back Jinx to the ice. Jinx willingly said yes. She was happy to go back to the ice with him. It was a little weird. Nobody seemed to come back to the ice. Only the sound of some music seemed to be around them.
“It is weird.” Jinx commented, while she stepped onto the ice.
“You do not like it?” Silco asked, while he followed her, and already moved a little further on the ice. Even he was a professional in skating.
“I like it. I can be as clumsy as I want to.” Jinx admitted, while she slowly moved her right leg. Followed by her left leg.
Silco turned back, to see Jinx. She was slow, indeed. So, he skated back to her. He offered his hand, to Jinx. Jinx slowly, decided to accept it. They were skating. Hand in hand. And slowly. Step by step. To make Jinx feel confident in herself. Then Silco tried to move a little faster, while holding Jinx’s hand. Stronger, a little.
Jinx smiled. A lot. She felt excited. The moves, the power she got from the man. The man who was skating with her. And only her. And only them, on the ice. By the power. And surrounded by the songs what echoed in the room. Then, her favorite song came up. Silco heard some humming sounds, then he looked back at Jinx. She was the one who was humming and singing, so quiet. But he heard her voice. And it was beautiful. And only these minutes helped him realize, he needs more of this woman.
“I assume you like this song.” Silco said.
“You got it right.” Jinx said, as she held on to a little smile.
“Trust me.”
Silco, turned back. Reached out for Jinx’s other hand. Held both of her hands. Then slowly, by looking at Jinx, he started to skate backwards. Jinx started to skate forward. Until they reached the center of the ice. Then Silco, slowly, tried to give a little turn to Jinx. By her favorite song. To have some imagined thing, as he thought.
Jinx tried to do that spin so grateful, and smoothly. And it worked out well. Silco smiled. Even he had a smile on, because of how good Jinx did that little spin. But Jinx could not land verry well on her feet back, so she fell. And while she tried to hold on, and held Silco’s hand, they both fell to the ice. Jinx being down, and Silco getting on top of Jinx. An awkward situation. But they both blushed.
The spinning was in Jinx’s mind. She always danced to this song when she was home. But the last minute of the song was on, even the last refrain. So, she took on her chances, and while holding herself to the ground, and not trying to hit Silco with the ice-skating shoes, she only moved her head, and placed her little lips on his lips.
Silco was surprised. Even shocked. By the power and the fierce young woman. He had down on him. And even kissing him. No time for being shocked, he kissed her back. Slowly, and little. Not trying to ruin that little girl. But that was not the time, and place to do.
“Sorry… Kind of a thing to do around when you see a man you feel attracted to.” Jinx said quietly, after she stopped kissing Silco.
“I accept your apology.” Silco said.
After they stood up and skated back to the quit place. Holding hands in hands. Then getting their ice skater shoes off, had a last look at each other. Wanting to do another kiss. They all felt it in them.
“There you are!” Vi shouted, as she came back, seeing her little sister.
“Guess it is my time to go.” Jinx said quietly, picking up her shoes, in her left hand. “I will not forget this. Never.”
Silco did not even had the time to say goodbye to Jinx. He just watched as Jinx left. Walking away with a pink haired woman. Not until, he saw a little piece of paper. With a strange handwrite. But, with blue ink, of course. Saying only a few words.
Tomorrow. Same time, same place. Do not forget me. – Jinx.
This meaning. That Jinx and Silco’s future, did not melt away, on that ice, while kissing.
