Chapter Text
After Tomura died Katsumi knew he had to protect Yoichi, had to protect the only brother he had left. No matter what he would make sure he was safe.
The first few years were calm and peaceful for them, even if at the time Katsumi had begun to start his army against the government, fighting for those people like himself who had meta abilities. He was gunna fight so everyone would be equal. Even if he knew they probably couldn't be, considering the people with more power will probably end up being on the top, but for now it was quite the opposite, people with strong and flashy powers couldn't use them. Yoichi didn't know yet, Katsumi didn't want him to know for a few years yet.
"Katsu," Yoichi started as he looked at him, "why have you been going out so much more recently?"
That question surprised him, he'd been mostly going out at night, when he was sure his little brother was asleep, was he that bad at sneaking out? "It's nothing Yoi, you don't have to worry."
"...if you're sure," he didn't seem convinced.
"Look, I'd tell you if it was anything important," he told him.
"Okay," Yoichi said before standing up, having just finished eating, "I'll be in my room if you want me," he then walked up to his room.
"I just want you to be safe..." Katsumi muttered, "I don't want you gone like Tomura..." He knew he would never be able to tell Yoichi that to his face. Neither of them really talk about Tomura, sure he comes up but the topic of him is always dropped almost immediately. Neither of them could really talk about him even when he's on their minds. Yoichi hadn't been sick recently, which was awesome, though they both knew that he would be and probably soon too. At the age of 23, almost 24 Katsumi Shigaraki is beginning his plans, no he doesn't want to take over the country, just insight change, make sure people with powers can use them without, yknow, being put in jail.
Yoichi knew that Katsumi was hiding something but what? His older brother refused to tell him, he knew even without his brother saying it straight out that he wants to protect him, that much is obvious, the eldest Shigaraki brother has always been protective of his brothers... of course now, for the last nearly four years, that's been singular.
Yoichi was going to wait till the next time his brother left and sneak into his room to see if there was anything he was hiding that could, possibly be bad enough that he should be hiding it. He took out a comic to read while he waited for the right time.
Hours later he heard the front door close "it's time," he whispered placing his comic down, and getting up walking out of his room and to his brother's room. He turned the knob "locked..." He sighed but then grabbed a paper clip from his pocket, picking the lock.
He finally opened the door and went into the room. He went to the closet first opening it, he searched for anything suspicious. "Nothing here."
He looked under the bed first, there was a box, he took the box out, it was locked. He lock-picked the box and opened it, looking inside, he found pictures of them, including Tomura, he closed the box before tears could obscure his vision.
He shook his head and then noticed the lap top on the bed. He opened it, he saw the 'eneter password' screen, "damn what could his password be?"

"still wrong, what the hell?" He said, "wait, I got it."

"Finally, the right password." He automatically looked for the document files, he saw some normal documents that you'd probably see on anyone's computer, some memes, of course. Deeper down there were ones with titles like 'war plans' or 'allies.'
"What the hell?" He wondered aloud, he heard a car coming into the driveway, "shit," He shut down the lap top and put it back where it was and ran put, shutting and locking the door and going back to his room.
Yoichi let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding when he heard Katsumi come in the house and go up to his room.
He took out his phone and went to a social media app and went to a pm with a person he trusted, despite not knowing him in real life.
MemeLord420: Hey, dude
ILoveDogs: Why are you even awake?
MemeLord420: I snuck into my brother's room, because I wondered what he was doing, I found weird documents on his computer. I didn't read them but some of the titles worried me a little.
ILoveDogs: Like what?
MemeLord420: Well, something about a war and allies, I dunno why. I heard his car coming back into the driveway before I could read them.
ILoveDogs: Okay, then
MemeLord420: That's all, sorry if I woke you up
ILoveDogs: Nah it's okay, now good night.
MemeLord420: night dude.
Yoichi put his phone away and closed his eyes, snuggling into his blanket, slowly falling asleep.
