Summary:

Will their love be steady and strong? Or will Shopkeeper's cold demeanor and Aedemetos's chaotic nature be too different?

Notes:

Aedeemtos would let Shopkeeper top them in an instant.

Chapter 1: He said nothing.

Chapter Text

They hadn’t thought much of him when the two of them had first met. He seemed to be a standard run-of-the mill shopkeep, particularly short, but they’d come across shorter humans in their travels. When their eyes landed on that spellguard shield, they couldn’t think of anything other than stealing it. Sow a little chaos and get a magical shield? It seemed like the perfect opportunity. And  the shopkeeper's height made him particularly unassuming, so he had to be easy to steal from.

Oh, what a mistake that was.

As they stood there, shield in hand, locked in the shop with the shopkeeper towering above them, excessively muscular body flexing and convulsing, they realized that.

But somehow, they also couldn’t help but feel a little flustered.

This man… this short, unassuming man, had grown to be seven feet in height, the only human they had ever met that was significantly taller than them, and the body he sported was, well, impeccable. They couldn’t help but indulge in his abs as he stared them down, their eyes betraying them as they trailed down…

Aedemetos blinked, hard.

What the hell were they thinking?

They’d been caught stealing a priceless item from a man with muscles the size of their head. This man could kill them in a moment, snap them in half, cause them pain, torture, suffering… and they were being turned on ? In fact, the more they thought of what the man could and likely would do to them, were they to attempt to leave with the shield, the more attracted to the situation they become.

They could feel heat blooming down there .

This was quickly turning into a disaster.

Aedemetos took a deep breath, steadying themselves. If they couldn’t collect themselves, they’d have to lean into where their thoughts were going… an idea struck them, and they couldn’t help but smile.

Once a trickster, always a trickster.

Slowly, Aedemetos bent over, placing the shield on the ground. “You know, this is really humiliating,” they said.

The man said nothing in return, just watched them put the shield down.

“The cleric who’s patron is Loki, the Trickster themselves… can’t even properly steal from a shop! It puts us in quite a situation, doesn’t it?”

The man stayed silent.

“How’d you know I’d be into this? This… embarrassment. How’d you know I have a humiliation kink?”

They had finally placed the shield down fully on the ground, and when they did, the doors behind them flew open, and the man began to sink down to his regular height. Aedemetos sighed a breath of relief, but (as they were mortified to realize) also one of disappointment.

They’d have to be checked out. Did this really have to be what they were into?

Aedemetos turned to leave, but found they didn’t want to go. They had to get back to their house, they had not even an ounce of trust in those strange adventurers. But…

They turned back around, and walked further into the shop, their hands up as they made it obvious they weren’t going to cause any harm to the now tiny shopkeeper. When they’d reached the clerk desk, they pulled out a pen and paper from their satchel. “You know, you’re the only one who has ever made me feel this way, so,” they slid the piece of paper across the table to the shopkeeper, their address on it, “don’t betray my trust, got it? That’s my address. If you ever wanna hang out… let me know. I’ll be ready~”

They turned to leave the shop, turning around and winking at the man for good measure as they left. He, of course, didn’t react.

Hot.

Suffice it enough to say, their dream-like trance that night was riddled with the mysterious shopkeeper.
