I could not wait to get home. after a whole day of being on my feet at work, all I wanted to do was to lay down and feel my wife's fingers in my hair. oh how I yearned to feel them on my scalp. she truly has magic fingers. I got into my car, a mini cooper, and fastened my seatbelt. I placed the keys into the ignition and turned the engine on. I pulled out of work onto the busy road driving towards mine and Kate's shared home. all I wanted to do was to be in her arms again. I suddenly thought about when we first met.

I finally reached our shared home, thank god. I switched the car off with a huge sigh of relief and I opened my car door. I stepped out and closed it, making sure I locked it. I entered the house and closed the door behind me.
"honey, I'm home!" I yelled, my voice echoed throughout the halls. I then heard footsteps coming down the stairs. first I saw fluffy slippers, then pyjama bottoms and then I saw all of my gorgeous wife making her way toward me. she must have gotten home before me.
"hello, darling. how was work?" she asked me in a soft and caring voice.
"all I've been thinking about is getting home to spend time with you. I'm absolutely exhausted. and you? how was set?"
"it was fun but I would have enjoyed it more if you were there. come on, let's go sit down and relax."
we walked towards the sofa and plonked ourselves down. I rested my head on Kate's knees and immediately felt her fingers thread through my hair, sometimes scratching my head which made tingles go all the way down my spine. I had been craving this all day.
"that feels nice."
"I'm glad it does. I know how much you love it."
"mhm. your fingers are magic when it comes to this... and many other things."
she laughed a little bit. I fucking love that laugh. it's like an angel singing.
"I love you so much, my darling."
"ditto. very much."
