Chapter Text
Finally
You thought to yourself. school was your least favorite place other than. Well. Everywhere else. You really hated your life at this point. But you didn't necessarily want to die. Your life definitely isn't nightmarish but its not fun either. Your grades are still high and your GPA is at a 4.5, due to all the AP and honors classes your mom signed you up for. You hated her with a passion. Everyday after school its the same shit. She's mad for some ungodly reason and you're the only one around for her to take it out on. Your dad is in the military but its been a while since you've heard from him. You miss him.
Your math grade drops to a high b and you cant wait to get home. You know what's going to happen. You arrived home soaking wet accidentally dripping water on the mahogany hardwood floor just to not notice. Your mom appears out of the corner of your eye as you're taking your dirtied converse off.
Here we go
“I noticed your math grade dropped to a b”
She said quietly.
“I promise ill get it up its only an 88 please”
You pleaded.
“Am i just not being a good enough mom?”
“What have i done wrong for you not to try?”
“Its all because that damn phone”
She's going at it again
The whole shebang
“Sorry”
You muttered
“And there's water on my hardwood floors. You know the rule about that. Or have you forgotten?”
“No i remember ill clean it up right now”
“Im already doing it”
She threw her arms up in the air, sighing loudly. You rolled your eyes after she couldn't see your face anymore for if she caught you, who knows what would have happened. You were always careful around her. Ever since you met your dads new girlfriend you were cautious. She had always forced you to call her mom. Major red flag in your opinion.
“I need to clear my head. You're jamming my senses or something. We cant have another ‘incident’ now can we.”
She's leaving. Now you can have some alone time. What do you do in this alone time? Not much. You do the same thing but you dont really have to worry about anything. Like for example being loud. You always had to be quiet, careful not to give your precious mother a headache. You're still quiet, and following the rules, for muscle memory is pretty strong.
Tonight felt slightly off. You felt weighed down significantly more than before. You thought maybe its because no one is home and its raining. Quite heavily actually. All of a sudden, a shadow appeared on the ground, a fairly large shadow too. You froze. Not really sure what to do. Every possibility you could think of was in fact, impossible. As you sit criss cross apple sauce on your bed you mulled over what to do.
If i look back then it might attack me so i cant do that. What if i just wait for someone to get back.
Not moving, you scanned your surroundings as much as you could. Out your window you could see a black haze forming.
What in the world, what is happening. Maybe if i just run.
You decided just to get out of the house as fast as possible. You couldn't bring yourself to move so you counted down from 3.

You scrambled off your double sized bed not looking back. Almost slipping from your always polished floors and grabbing an umbrella? Maybe you could use it as a weapon. You ran out the door not bothering to put your shoes on, to find the world had darkened significantly. The dark haze looked almost like a dome all around you. You turned around towards the house to see a giant floating blob? It had grown from just in your bedroom to now almost the size of the house itself.
gross
You were in disbelief. It looked like a giant piece of floating poo. You heard a voice behind you say,
“Its got a huge cursed energy huh”
