Divinity’s Sketchpad Cars/Planes (Artwork)

Summary:

This “sketchpad” is dedicated to any and all art I draw for Disney Planes/Cars. From character artwork, to memes, comic strips, and sketch dumps.

Notes:

So I decided to split up my original sketchbook into the different series and games I draw for, I felt that would be better than tagging every fandom I draw for and then mostly posting for one over the other. I also feel it would be easier for people to find the art of whatever series they like instead of wading through all the content.

Chapter 1: Bad Guys AU

Chapter Text

This is again another digital sketch done in my spare time between classes while the semester was still going on. They were made using the Paint 3D laptop app which is by no means professional so I apologize for the crappy quality to these sketches. Echo's red eyes don't stand out as dramatically as Bravo's since I used red for his lineart and I didn't know how to change it's color once it was already laid down; that's something I kinda regret. Also, it's super hard to draw aircraft in any view, 3/4 included, curse them and their wings.

It was initially just going to be Echo and Bravo in this but I decided to fill the large blank space above them with some skeptical Lumerians and thus birthed a new AU in my mind. Echo and Bravo are being scheming little gremlins and a skeptical, cautious Wildfire watches their backs from afar. She is flanked by other Lumerians who share her weary sentiment, discussing with her under hushed breathes if their new "allies" really are allies.

For the AU let's say Chug's rumors about the Jolly Wrenches were true and they weren't the benevolent squadron we saw in the movies. What if they really were the battled hardened type to "shoot ya as soon as they look at ya", what if they weren't all that good. Dusty, being a famed celebrity with the world literally watching his every move, had natural immunity from the harsh truth of the Jolly Wrench squadron. They didn't want to get caught being aggressive with the Crop Duster if he was going to be open about his experience during the race and thus rat them out to the public. However, when the Lumerians show up its a bit of a different story.

After the Battle of London, during the last leg of the World Grand Prix, which resulted in the defeat of The Lemons and The Shade, multiple Shade soldiers and operatives went AWOL on the Machine World. This led to Operation United Endeavor, which included the combined forces of Lumeria, The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Canada, Spain, Japan, and The United States. The goal being to get rid of all remaining Shade forces, and pushing the evil demons from the planet for good.

To solidify United Endeavor Lumerian high ranked military officials were sent around to different squadrons and platoons to initiate friendly relations to make the unified military operations run smoothly. The United States officials felt things would be better if the alien forces were seen as friendly by the rest of their military and if there were a sense of familiarity between them. One such meet up was between Lumeria and The Jolly Wrench squadron aboard the U.S.S Dwight D. Flysenhower. While things were bumpy between Lumera and the Admiral, who wanted nothing with them but obeyed under higher orders, it would eventually end in a rocky "alliance".

Wildfire was supposed to go to the conference with Lumera but decided to wait back with the rest of the troops on board; letting the other two Second in Commands go with her. While Lumera holds back her unease, due to a desire to unite all the forces together, Wildfire does not and she isn't afraid to advise Lumera on her worries about the Jolly Wrenches. Lumera takes her "sibs" opinions into account, but for Operation United Endeavor to work she needs to get the Jolly Wrenches included and so bites her tongue. Wildfire remains suspicious of the Jolly Wrenches and isn't deterred from discussing her concerns with her cohorts, while always keeping an eye out for surrounding Jollies. Of all the Wrenches on board Wildfire is most distrustful of Echo and Bravo, something about those two always set her on edge; they always appear to be scheming. On numerous occasions she has caught them sending each other knowing glances on deck and the lack of context has the Lumerian SIC thinking of possible plans they could be formulating. At the end of the day all Wildfire knows for sure is that she doesn't trust a single Jolly Wrench, and neither do any of the Lumerians their leader included.

Lumera (mentioned), Wildfire, and the three unnamed dragons belong to me.
Echo, Bravo, Chug (mentioned) and Dwight (mentioned) belong to Disney/Disney Planes.
