Chapter Text

There's many things that can put Alan to sleep. A lullaby, after some time stargazing, exhaustion from a rescue... and warmth.

This day was no exception.

Alan announced he'd take a long shower, after a stressful but successful rescue.

Scott, knew what would come next. And as if his time has come, he went to Alan's room to check on him half an hour later.

Entering the room, he noticed Artemis sleeping fondly in his enclosure. And no sign of his little blonde brother.

This could mean one thing...

Off to the en-route bathroom, the shower was still running. Scott pulled away the curtain and he finds Alan laying on the bottom of the basin, snoring underneath the jet stream of steaming water.

Bless his heart, Scott smiled.

It wasn't the first time it happened and it won't be the last.

Big brother Scott fetched a body sized towel and turned off the shower. Alan mumbled in protest but didn't bother shifting from his nap.

Quickly but gently, he wrapped his brother up to keep him warm while the steam was up in the air. All the while, Scott was drying him up, including the time spend on the blonde hair.

He thought he saw tiny slits of blue behind closed eyelids. Too sleepy from the warmth of the towel and Scott's arms. As soon as his little brother was wrapped in a partially wet yet soft and warm cocoon, the young blonde subconsciously laid his head on his big brother's shoulder. Towards the all too familiar warmth.

The eldest carried his little brother back to his room. Humming a song, warmth of his voice and heart made little Allie curled closer to him.

Unfortunately, Scott had to let him go on the bed if Alan were to peacefully sleep. He didn't bothered to remove the towel, knowing all to well what is like to be on a receiving end of a pouting naked little brother who's got his "cocoon" taken away.

He watched Alan curled up in his towel, gently sighed in content as his mind drifted further into slumber. Then, Scott leaned to give his little brother a warm kiss to the forehead, before leaving him be, in the warmth of his cocoon, knowing he would wake a happy blonde butterfly the next warm morning.
