Chapter Text
“Lady Kobayashi, may I inquire into what you are doing here so early?” The black haired woman grew nervous and snapped her head toward the small boy standing next to her.
“H-h-huh-!?” Just as she was about to explain the door to 101 opened and revealed a teenage girl.
“Hello-? Oh, Kobayashi-san.” The girl bowed and stayed like that until Kobayashi placed a hand on her shoulder.
“There no need for such a deep bow!” She nervously laughed well the (H/C) haired teen stood.
“Right, I apologize.” The conversation was interrupted by a boy knocking on the door frame.
“Hello! I am Sato Kotaro!” The polite boy bowed to the new comer as she crouched.
“I’m (Y/N). Nice to meet you Sato.” She spoke well making eye contact with the child. “You on your own to?” The girls head tilted to the side as the boy nodded.
“Yes! But I assure you! I am strong enough! There is no need to worry!” Sato pulled out a toy sword and pointed it to the sky, proudly standing.
“Of course, I do not doubt your strength. You must be doing a good job.” (Y/N) reached out and ruffled the boys black hair as she stood and invited Kobayashi inside.
Noticing the young one still staring she pointed a thumb into her apartment. “Wish to join us?”
“I am most grateful for your invitation, Lady (Y/N)!” He quickly walked inside and untied his red boots as (Y/N) closed the door.
A kettle went off, it’s high pitched noise filling the near empty apartment. Listening half heartedly to the conversation between the adult and the child behind her, (Y/N) took out three cups and poured tea into each. “Apologies if you like anything in your tea, I have not gone to the store yet.” She explained well setting the cups in front of her two guest.
“It’s no problem (Y/N),” Kobayashi said well handing a brown envelope over the table. “Here’s your allowance for the month.”
“Right, thank you.” She bowed and set the envelope to the side as the boy spoke up.
“Do you know where the money comes from, Lady (Y/N)?” The girl and woman froze as the (E/C) eyes of the teen seemed to glaze over.
“I-… M-mine comes from my parents… I am unsure, of where yours comes from…” The girl trailed off as a hand gripped the edge of the table. “I- Apologies, I must use the restroom.” She said quickly before standing and going to the bathroom.
“I’m sorry if I said something wrong, Lady Kobayashi…” The woman with purple glasses sighed and shook her head.
“It’s not your fault, Kotaro.” Kobayashi jumped when she felt something rub against her leg. She then looked down to see a fluffy black cat. “A-Ah- Hello, Aki.” Petting the back of the cat, the cat quickly moved to the bathroom door.
It then started to scratch at it, wanting the woman’s help to open said door. When it finally fell silent there were soft gasps heard from behind the door. “Kotaro-“ When the black hair woman looked to where the boy was she found him gone and the front door open.
