“Now come on. I know that this is just something temporary. You are not like this Mafuyu; now, go back to studying. I’m sure that when we talk again, you will notice that this was all just a silly, little misunderstanding, alright? I’ll be waiting for you downstairs.”
Why..? Why was this happening? She had been so careful not to let her mask drop. How was this happening?

Mafuyu had started her day just like any other, waking up early, getting ready for school, and finishing assignments, the usual.
"Good morning mom. Good morning dad." She said, attempting to put excitement into her words, failing miserably. Not like her parents would notice their perfect child lack enthusiasm.
"Good morning dear. Come and sit with us, breakfast is ready!" Her mother said with a smile plastered on her face.
She went and sat in front of her parents, making sure her smile never left her face.
“Fufufu~ Your food tastes as good as always mom.” Nothing, again, I can’t taste anything.
“Ahhh you flatter me Mafuyu.” I wonder, how does it feel to feel.. flattered? Is it one of those feelings that warms my chest or that hurts it?
“She’s not lying though, your cooking is always amazing dear~” Dear? They use that word quite a lot, it’s supposed to be said to someone you care about, right? Is there someone I care about? Someone that I can say is dear to me?
“Ah! I have to go now, I have an early committee meeting today.” Huh? That’s not true though, the meeting is supposed to be tomorrow, not today… Why did I lie?
“Oh my~ then you better hurry up, you don’t want to be late now~.” They believed it? What will I tell them tomorrow then? That I got confused? That it got postponed? Will they believe that too?
“Right! I’ll see you later mom, dad!” Mom.. dad.. Why do those words feel so… weird? Is that the right feeling? They make my chest hurt… not a good feeling, that’s for sure. I’ll have to ask Kanade tonight. Ah, when did I get here?
“Oh! Could that be..? Asahina-san, good morning!” Ah, Hinomori-san? And her sister too, what are they doing so early in the morning?
“Good morning Hinomori-san, ah- sorry but would it be alright if I address you two by your first names? I wouldn’t want us to get confused while talking.” First names huh, now that I think about it I’ve never called anyone outside of the 25ji circle by their first name. Does it make a difference?
“No problem at all! Shi-chan, are you ok with that too?” Shi-chan? Huh, I’ve never called anyone by a nickname either. Do K, Enanan, and Amia count as nicknames? Guess that’s another thing I should ask Kanade about, at this point I should just make a list of questions-
“Gosh sis, stop treating me like a baby, and yes Asahina-senpai, that would be fine.” Ah right, I’m still talking to them.
“Fufufu~ That’s good to know! Anyways, what are you two doing here so early in the morning? Classes don’t start until an hour and a half.”
“Hmph, stupid sis set up her alarms way earlier than it was supposed to be and I ended up being dragged with her.”
“Fufu~ That does sound like something Shizuku-san would do. Actually, I had a similar incident this morning, I confused tomorrow's committee meeting and ended up getting here earlier than I expected.” Guess I’m going with that lie huh. “But it’s pretty convenient since I get to study a bit more for this week’s test.” And I will be able to tell that to mother, that way she won’t think I was just slacking off.
“So responsible as always Asahina-san, would you mind if I join you in your studies? I have a few questions that I hope you could help me with.” This is… a minor inconvenience.
“Sure! It’s easier to learn when you do it with other people. Ah- what about Shiho-san, do you need any help with anything?” Guess I’ll have to make the list later today.
“Nah, I’m fine, gonna practice with my bass, thank you for your offer though, Asahina-senpai.” Oh right, she is also in a music group.
“Well I wish you luck with your practice, Shizuku-san and I will head to class 2-B. If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask us fufu~!” Guess today will be a busier day.

“See you later Shi-chan~!” Must be nice to have a sibling. But I guess it’s different for each person… Ena says that her brother is quite annoying and loud and Mizuki says that they have a good relationship with their sisters. I wonder, how would my sibling be if I had one?
“Asahina-san? We’re here already.” Huh?
“Oh you’re right! Sorry, I spaced out for a moment there.” What’s up with me today? I need to be more careful or who knows what might happen…
“It’s alright! You must have a lot in your mind, wouldn’t be that surprising from the top student in our grade.” The top student, is that all I am to her? Or my class?

“Right! Well you see, I was quite confused in this part, you see, it says that the first wife got divorced, the second one was beheaded, the third one died, then the fourth one… I can not keep up. I think you see what the problem is now?” Oh, just need to help her memorize stuff. That should be easy.
“Oh, well in this case we could try making a small song or just a rhythm to help you memorize it! You’re an idol meaning that you are quite used to rhythms and songs right? So this should be easy for you, fufu!”
“Yes! This is going to be a piece of cake!” It’s going to be a what now-? Haaa, another thing to ask Kanade.

Ah, I could write the list here, I never use this notebook so it’s not like mother would find it either.
And so, while Mafuyu absentmindedly answered her kouhai’s questions, she wrote the list of question she was going to ask Kanade later that night.
“Ah,Asahina-senpai, may I ask what you’re writing? I’ve never seen you use that notebook and you seem quite concentrated on it.” I- If someone is studying and seems concentrated, wouldn’t it be better to just leave them alone? And how did she know about the notebook? Is that normal? Haah, I’ll have to write that down too.
“Fufu~! It’s just a notebook I keep to review topics with some friends, we meet sometimes and try to come up with ideas for solving problems while obtaining the best outcome.”
”Oh, alright. Uwa! The school is going to close soon, we have to go!” Wait what- how much time has passed? Gonna have to send a message to mother saying that something came up.
“You’re right! I’ll see you later Hoshino-san fufu~” I just want to go talk with Kanade and the others…

Ah, I forgot to pack the lyrics for our next song. Maybe I can put it inside Hoshino-san’s notebook? No, I might forget about it and she will end up seeing everything. I could put it inside the notebook that I used for the list, it will be easy to notice because it’s red too so I won’t end up forgetting about it.
