Chapter Text
It was a warm Colambian morning in Encanto.
The sun rose early and the inhabitants woke up at dawn to start their
day.
In Casita, in the garden, the table was already set with steaming
delicacies, leading the inhabitants of the house to take their
positions on the chairs to enjoy breakfast.
The matriarch sat at the head of the table, taking a bite of an Arepa
before announcing:
-Famila! These are the tasks for today - another bite to the arepa. -
Luisa, help your mother carry the food cart to town, then retrieve the
donkeys and bring them back to that idiot Martinez. Julietta, there
will most likely be injuries as the villagers are going to chop wood
today. In this regard, Luisa, later you will go and help them transport
the larger pieces.
Pepa, not a drop of water today, and that the temperature is not too
hot to allow the men to work properly.
She took an Empanadas and bit that too.
-Camilo, you will entertain the children with Antonio. Isabela, help
the women adorn the balconies of their houses in the west of the
country. After the last rain - A serious look at the woman with the
orange braid to her left - the flowers are ruined and the street loses
its beauty.
Dolores, you will come with me to see Father Julio, we need to talk
about your cousin's marriage and silence the rumors that have spread
about Isabela's impossible pregnancy before marriage. Jesus, those
Fernandezes have nothing better to do than spit nonsense about other
people's marriages. - Abuela Alma took a long sip of coffee, elegantly
dried her mouth and stared back at the table.
-The Madrigal family! -
-The Madrigal family! - The other guests at the table shouted in
chorus, getting up to go and carry out the listed tasks.
Mirabel watched, skeptical, all her relatives leave for the town,
taking a step to go and ask Abuela for explanations, when a hand landed
on her shoulder, making her turn.
The cheerful face of her uncle Felix, with his dazzling smile, gave her
goose balls.
-Nieta! - He exclaimed with a little too much enthusiasm - Today you
will be our right shoulder in the household chores! -
He put his arm around her shoulders, making her go around the house,
towards her entrance.
- You see, we are all special in our own way. - He spoke in a cheerful
tone - Each of us has duties. And today you will find that our work is
... fantastic! No, that is, really great! -
Mirabel found herself with a broom and a dustbin in her hand, having no
idea where her uncle had got it from.
-You see, at this time the birds starting to sing, the sun beats down
on Bruno's tower, which we do not clean, higher orders, and the house
is cool enough but not freezing to allow us to work in peace and ...-
-And, above all, abuela is in town until lunch .- Mirabel's father
exclaimed, coming out of the kitchen door with three buckets and three
rags in hand. Mirabel knew what was going to happen, but she didn't
have time to run to her father before the worst happened:
a bucket slipped from his hand, his foot landed in it, and two seconds
later Augustin was lying on the ground; a bucket on his head, one on
his foot, one on his hand, and the three rags that formed a star around
his figure.
-I'm fine, Hija! - He chuckled from under the bucket, reaching for the
fallen glasses with one hand.
-Do you see Mirabel? Today will be a wonderful day! - Uncle Felix
smiled, patting him on the shoulder before going to help his
brother-in-law.
Mirabel sighed, ready to face that odd morning with the two men.

Hola!
This is a small introduction to what will happen in the next chapters.
I have an idea to create a chapter for each room, so if you have any
request, leave it written in the comments, maybe you will find it in
the next updates!
I don't think Mirabel will always be with her father and uncle in this
story, so be prepared for twists and turns!
English (and Spanish) is not my first language so forgive any mistakes!
Until next time, hilarious, chapter!
