For Johnny having Daniel showing up at his apartment at two in the morning wasn't exactly a surprise, or sex that happened right afterward, frankly he had been waiting for that since the day Daniel told him he and Amanda were getting divorced.
If Daniel had taken a few more days he might have done something similar himself.
But he was surprised that Daniel stayed in bed with him instead of going back to his hotel.
Almost as if he was reading his thoughts Daniel said:
“I spent almost twenty years sleeping with someone next to me. It feels weird sleeping alone now.”
“So you just want someone, no matter who it is?”
“Actually it matters a lot who it is.”
“So you just want me?”
Daniel remained silent. Looking at him with those big brown eyes.
"I'm waiting for your answer LaRusso."
"Yeah. Is that what you want to hear?”
"Only if it's true."
"It is true."
"Then you can stay."
"I was going to do that anyway, but thanks for your permission, I guess."
"So you would stay even if I kicked you out?"
"As if you could kick me out of here if I didn't want to go."
“Want to test this theory?”
"Maybe. But later. Now I just want to sleep.”
Johnny leaned his head against Daniel’s shoulder, closed his eyes and said:
"Okay then, let's sleep."
