Work Text:
Spy.. Was a self respecting man, of course.
But, he did not know how to tidy up a room like any of the other mercenaries did. He had manners, of course, but he had the class to respect such with said manners. A french man that was sneaky in his mannerisms, quiet in his tone, soft with some words would be suspected to have a type of family that would shower him in gold, which, you would be right. He did not pick up the skill of doing chores and being tidy, which left him to struggle later in life.
All he could currently do at the moment was carry box to box into the base that his team would call home for the moment till they pack up once again, it was a schedule he was quite familiar to, and he’d have to be bickered about only doing the easy things. He couldnt just say he did not know how, he would not be seen the same! He’d be seen as lousy, a burden, and not helpful..
The Medic, right, him. He was.. Some-what respectable, he was not loud, he knew how to clean. He always respected a man who knew how to clean, which that respect followed him since he grew up with maids and butlers right at his side… Besides the fact that the doc was a maniac, he could grew to respect his co-workers company and intelligence.
On the other side of that, there was Sniper, he, too, was respectable.. But he could not keep himself clean like the others could, Spy couldnt even see Sniper in sight helping with anything, atleast Spy is trying. But why should he care? Ol’ Snipes pisses in jars, thats gross and unusual, and I do not mean the item type.
The Texa- Engineer, yes…
Wait…
To think his own mind drifted off from cleaning to.. his co-workers.. to.. Mon dieu, he mistook Engineer for just a texan right there, and nothing more. It hit him that he treated his co-workers like nothing but stereotypes, which, they were.. But they still had their own lives, their own thoughts, their own feelings.. This was not something he learned, just the fact that people had skills, but not how they gained them or.. gained their manners, besides that how he knew how he gained his own.
Despite his team being loud and annoying, they all tried their best to make things work, and they all had their own skills and could not just be judged for one bad apple.. Wwwell except for the doc but- No. No, hes done.
He put down the boxes, placing them into a pile as he decided to do more than just carry stuff in and then go out to smoke for the rest of the unpacking. He picked up a broom, sweeping up the dust off the floor.. Which.. Gave him a memory, this was the second time he has been in this building, yes?.. Hes been base-to-base, he could not recognize it due to the dust.. Which. Gave him a respect to his teammates, all of them, for all being able to come together to clean it up to the best of their abilites, and hopefully theyll all be able to do it again to a way they all recognize the last time they’ve all been in this base.
…but god does he fucking hate egotists, Scout can STILL fuck off.
