When Geto finds Nanako and Mimiko, we see his hair is the same as it was when he was attending Jujutsu High. But why did he start growing it out? You see, as the twins slowly get more accustomed to the more gentle, loving touches Geto offered as a parental figure for the duo– they quickly took a liking to playing in his hair.
The repetitive motions of brushing and braiding would anchor them in the present with him as he hummed, rather than in the cold past, enduring the same horrors over and over again.
One day, Geto mentioned wanting to cut his hair in passing.
But, overhearing such a thing upset the girls so much that Geto decided against it.
