The little sister busied herself with her work as the big sister walked in. “What is all this?”
Little sister was surrounded by large glass cylinders filled with strange beasts. Tubes filled with purple goo ran underneath the platform. A variety of magical tools were in front of her. “The future. This magic is fear. You can see, it’s taking the form of all the fears of everyone working in the dome.”
“Why would you do this? Do you have any idea how dangerous this is?”
“I’m doing this for us! Don’t you see what we can accomplish? What we can take? If we don’t use this magic, someone will use it on us!”
The older sister shook her head. “No, this is madness.” She walked over to the console and started filling switches. “I’m not gonna let you put the world at risk.”
The little sister was enraged. She never understood what she did, ever! She picked up one of the magical items she was studying. A golden dagger. Walking up to her sister, she plugged the knife into her sister's chest.
All she said was her sister's name. Her eyes closed, a pained expression on her face. She grabbed at the knife, blood pouring down her breasts, but she didn’t have the strength to pull it out. She fell to her knees. When she opened her eyes, they were glowing gold. Next was her hair, the mousy brown was now turning into an unnatural gold. She opened her mouth and a pillar of light emerged.
A wave of magical energies shattered the tubes, freeing the monsters. The little sister was blown back and fell over the edge of the platform. She fell down, down falling into the system of tubes that the goop was running through. She shattered them, the goo covered her whole body. She screamed as she was dissolved into it. Soon she was it. She was fear.
