Flowers, crisp apples and cinnamon, perhaps hints of evergreen and red wine. Intoxicating, sends shivers down his spine, makes him wonder how that's even possible. She always has a smell around her that seems to invite him closer.
She completely surrounds him, surrounds all of his senses until he feels drunk off her. He can't help but allow his mind to be riddled with thoughts of her. She has crept into his loneliness, made him feel on fire, sent all of his thought flying and now only she remains. Her and that sweet smell that seems to cling to him when they're alone together.
It follows him home when he can't stand himself, after they've shared a bed, after he finally allowed himself to be wrapped completely up in her. It lingers as he drinks and attempts to shake off those feelings of the past, memories that he had and now no longer remembers. Then, it takes him over, and he can't help but break down.
Quietly, alone, he shows weakness. All he thinks of is Hawke, all he feels is her burning touch, those pleasured noises. Then he sleeps, finally, her smell now a blanket.
A comforting hug, even though he doesn't deserve it.
